    Fantastic information for the Lectric ebike 3.0.😀 The original PA start off "kick" kept me off my bike for months; I'm going to try the different PA throttles!👏 That setting may make a "U-Turn" easier. Also, as I was walking my bike up a short hill of grass to the bike path (left hand on grip and right hand on seat) it got away from me! I didn't understand that putting pressure on the seat affected or engaged the PA. Very easy to understand instructional video, THANK YOU!

    There are 2 more settings not mentioned. P3 which by default is 48 but I have no idea what that setting affects. P22 which by default is 0. When set to 1 you have FULL range of throttle on all PAS levels

    • @nitebeest

    @martyjenkins3631 Před rokem +9

    Thanks for trying these out, so I don't have to.
    I think the P11 setting--for PAS sensitivity--may count the number of magnets on the foot crank passing a spot before starting the motor. So, how much of a circle do you pedal before getting help, measured in about 30 degrees each?

    • @LectricGo
      @LectricGo  Před rokem +2

      That makes sense. Set at 24 it did take approximately two full turns. Set at 30 degs, 12 magnets x 2 turns would equal 24.

    We went through three settings on both our Lectric bikes . My bike works just fine. My husband’s bike will not go . It can only peddle. You would think the battery is dead but it is fully charged. The screen shows it’s charged and we charged it all night but the light never turned green. His throttle doesn’t work now.
    Any suggestions on how to get it going? We thought maybe set it back to factory settings and it still doesn’t do anything.

    I have both 2.0 & 3.0 in LR ST. I am extremely disappointed with my 3.0 not being able to have full throttle on assist level 1 or 2. I would teach people to take off with the throttle then pedal. But now the 3.0 has to be on pedal assist 3 or higher to get the throttle to go full. SO now when you take off in level 1 or 2 the bike has very little power, 2 amps in level 1 to get going with the throttle. It almost gets stick in the grass, its got no take off power anymore. Nothing like the 2.0. I like a new ridder to start out on level 1. Not have them flying on level 3 when they start peddling just staring out. There is no way to change this throttle problem. I talked to Lectric & was told the new controller PWR can not be changed to get full throttle in level 1 or 2 anymore. Has to be on level 3 or higher. This just bites! Setting 23 to #1 does not change the throttle power on assist level 1 or 2. Had my 3.0 for 2 days & looks like I will be selling it. Yes the 3.0 bike rides better than the 2.0 but the new controller bites on the 3.0. Lectric's new "ONE" bike you can change this but that is the only bike you can change the throttle response on level 1 or 2. Unless you bump to level 3 or higher, when you take off with the 3.0 bike it is now ballsless. Same for coming to a hill in level 2. Hitting the throttle does nothing! You have quickly bump to assist level 3 so you have throttle control. This just bites.

    • @LectricGo
      @LectricGo  Před 4 měsíci +3

      I just got an email from lectric about how to get the PWR programming on my XP3.0. I usually ride in PAS 3-5 so I'm going to try it and report on my findings. I have seen several comments like yours with some not liking it much.

    • @larrybennett6534
      @larrybennett6534 Před 4 měsíci +2

      @@LectricGo "Not liking it much" boy that is an understatement, lol. If you find a way to get this throttle fixed/reprogramed please please let me know. (before I just sell it) . Love my 2.0 it's a brute compared to this 3.0. Lectric told me they are going with this new controller, "sorry you don't like it you can't change it". I rode 15 miles today. Throttle is so non responsive even in level 3. It has to be in level 5 to get somewhat full throttle. This bike is a dog. This 3.0 can't even do donuts tehee this 3.0 is a boat anchor compared to a 2.0. Thanks for your reply, signed "desperate to get my throttle back"

      @LisaLightning Před 22 dny

      Me too! I just figured out yesterday on my second ride about this problem with the throttle. I had a Lectric Lite and the throttle was unrestricted on all modes. I had no reason to think the 3.0 would be different. I like to ride in mode two, and the throttle barely works at all! This is crazy and I hate it! I'm really angry about it actually, they just wrote me back that I can't change it and I wrote them back a really angry email. Everyone should! I told them it was false advertising!

    • @nitebeest
      @nitebeest Před 10 měsíci +1

      @mobiusgaming781 Před 10 měsíci +1

    • @nitebeest

    Damn there's no way to control the max speed for each pas level? Like for example
    Pas1: 6mph
    Pas2: 9mph
    Pas3: 12mph
    Etc etc or however you want to do it?

    • @LisaLightning

      Why would you want to? I actually enjoy riding in PAS two and going 18 mph. It's better exercise. I was happy they allowed me to decouple the speed from the mode.
      On the other hand I'm really angry about the throttle working different in each mode.

      The brakes aré unbranded mechanical brakes. It does appear there are hydraulic retrofit options that include the ebike cutoff switches. I will upload a video on the topic if I decide to upgrade. May only do the front.

    • @LectricGo
      @LectricGo  Před rokem

      I will be ordering the XP Trike this week and will be able to experiment with it soon. My understanding, however, is that trikes need to be limited to much lower speeds. They become unstable in corners at high speeds. I don't expect the ability to unlock higher speeds.

      Any settings not in the manual and not covered here are not user adjustable. They are settings for things like battery pack voltage which you cannot adjust for the motor/controller combination that come stock.

      I just got a pair of 3.0 extended range walk through bikes, and today was our first ride. We were both wanting to try minimal PAS #1, but it kept "crow-barring" the max speed - coasting downhill or not - to 9mph. This meant either no assist or PAS-2 or higher for the entire ride. I came to find PAS-0 on a flat very tough, because the bike is so much heavier than I've ever ridden. Suffice it to say, I was slightly disappointed with my first ride. I basically used 60% of the battery on a flat 22 mile ride.
      I remembered watching this video as we waited for the bikes to arrive and watched it again and didn't see a setting to address this issue. I then looked at the manual and it shows a P22 setting which will turn this "PAS 1 and 2" governor OFF allowing for full speed on both - up to the P8 setting max, for like coasting downhill, etc.
      I just found this in the manual and this comment section of this video, so fingers crossed on my next ride it works. I'm still not sure if there is a cut-off on the electrical assist for each PAS level and what they will be, but having it resist your speed means it has to use power to do that too. Don't want that! Hope it works!
