      @E that's so cool I have two small dogs and I have taught them so many tricks especially in quarantine :0
      yes! I would say you would be an equestrian because I have been riding for 5 years now and I started out by doing a weekly lesson on Saturday mornings :) and I now have my own horse and one of my dogs is a small white Maltese shiatsu and my other small dog is fox terrier x Jack Russell x chihuahua and I have taught them to jump about 70cm ( probs 3x their height) and I am so happy with them :)

    Wow
    How high do you think a labrador can jump?

    • @koda6214
      @koda6214 Před 4 lety +2

      Hey! So, while a lab could probably jump decently high-especially if in good shape-I would NOT try this with a lab. When a dog jumps, like with any other animal, there is an impact when it hits the ground. This impact can greatly effect a dogs joints. Labradors are commonly known to have hip and joint problems, and it could seriously damage your labs legs! I would suggest trying a different breed, that’s maybe lighter than labs are (and Aussie or a husky would be cool, since they are athletically fit dogs and working dogs and don’t commonly have joint problems). I suggest a lighter dog, because if the dog is lighter the impact on the ground will be less forceful, giving less of a chance of severe joint problems. Labradors just aren’t really built to jump very high!

    0:40 is how the dog should be landing not 0:10. The dog should land on the two front paws then the rear paws ( NOT ALL FOURS AT ONCE ) my dogs have landed this way many times and I always take the time to correct it before moving on. You can hear the collie making a noice when it lands
