It's June 2022 and this video had came up in my suggested videos. I had paid a deposit on a 2022 Scout ABS Black Metallic. Like you I liked how it looked factory. Unfortunately there's a six week back order on them.
It's too bad that gas prices are more than double now of what they were back in 2019.
I would definitely add on the mini wind screen, something to reduce the air pressure on my chest as I'm riding. Is your GPS glove friendly?
I'm hearing that the newer factory seats are more comfortable. I'll have to wait and see on that.
I would like to add on saddle bags for those days when I bring my lunch with me to work or for those weekend excursions where I need a few extra things that I need to bring. Or for those days when I need to pick up a small tool or hardware from the store.
Thanks for posting your video on accessories. I'll definitely look into some of those for sure.
the GPS is pretty glove friendly, sometimes it's quirky but overall works well with a glove

I love what you’ve done, your bike turned out awesome! How long did your Dart windscreen take to get? My first two mods were the windscreen and a Corbin seat(s). Did the mini-apes keep you more upright? My only gripe is leaning forward for the handlebars..
The mini apes did exactly that. A perfect addition to get you more upright. Highly recommend!!!! My dart marlin took probably 3 weeks or so. Super durable product. How’s the Corbin? Worth the money ? Thanks for the bike compliments 🙏🏽

Crazy, I just bought an icon blue and silver 21 scout and first mod was the dart marlin lol then my second mod was the rcx component slip ons with the same tips as yours. So watching this vid was cool kinda validated my choices but wish I got black instead of chrome

First thing I did on my 17 scout was replace the stock bars with 10 inch mini apes. makes a huge difference. Also got the Crusher pipes. Still need to replace the grips.

I'm on the prowl for a new exhaust. However, i do not want a loud obnoxious rumble at touring speeds. I'm leaning towards V&H 3 slash cut or crusher. Any recommendations slightly lower then these. Rcx 3in exhaust?
The crusher maverick is nice tone. They can get kinda loud tho. Lower than these? Most are lower as these are LOUD lol. Did you look at Reinhardt Or freedom Performence?
V&H 3” slash cuts are LOUD! Too loud! Be prepared to buy good ear protection that comfortably under your helmet.

Are those Viking bags, how have they been working out for you? Where did you get the EZ brackets?
Yes! Viking Odin bags. I got the EZ brackets on amazon actually. They work well! The bags are awesome! Durable.

Jolie Hadley I can say this. I’ve had them 3 years. I take good care of my stuff. I keep them inside climate control area when off the bike. They have been excellent for me. Spacious. Durable. Secure. So I can’t say anything negative in my experience with them. And the brackets have faired well!

I’m 6’ 2” 280. I’ve watched other videos with a little bigger guys on them, but they don’t give very good feedback. I ride a 03 Yamaha RoadStar midnight edition now. But not quite my style.
@@truaxmatthew I’m 5’ 10” 270. It seems small at first but that goes away pretty fast when you ride it for a while. I know I’m not as tall as you are, but I weigh almost the same and love it as much as I did my 2014 Fatboy.
I've got a friend in Ohio who bought a used Harley for 15000. He's probably put at least 8000 into it before he paid it off. I think that's crazy 😂
Think I may buy an Indian next. I own 2 Harleys atm. Always said I wanted one of each and ended up buying 2 Harleys. Just glad they are paid for lol... I won't go in debt or to a dealership for any bike though, If I dont run across a good cash deal, I guessI won't get it...

Don't always put premium in your bike. It's dependent on the compression that the engine makes. If it is relatively low, then it won't make use of the higher octane in premium.

Why would you need a gps when you could just use google maps on your smart phone?
I keep my phone in my bag and turned off Otherwise my work calls would never stop ringing.
It’s a way for me to get away from work. GPS doesn’t ring !!). It’s worth the peace of mind for my situation 😁. But I understand your question for sure !

It really sucks that your premium is 93 octane. In Australia our mid grade is 95 octane, our premium is 98 octane. Although this does mean that we need to install fuel management on American bikes.

Always use premium? No. Only use premium if your bike requires premium.
