Ya know - love the old RHCP - John and all - Anthony - HOT- jOHN SO BEAUTIFUL!!!! Seeing then in Mtl this may - 6th row center on the floor - - a dream come true! ! But JOhn ain't going to be there and altho they have grown in a different direction still will enjoy them immensely because they are RED FRIGGIN HOT CHILLI PEPPERS!!! OMG I CANNOT WAIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Of course he was, John came into the band few months after Hillel's death...

I would say John was indeed in the old RHCP. Hillel was in the original setup, but John was there when the band became world famous in the late '80s early '90s. BSSM is still widely viewed as their best album and possibly one of the best rock albums of all time.
