- On board with Sam Hill & his Mega 275c as he takes on the Megavalanche for the first time.
A puncture In qualifying whilst leading lead him to started the main race mid pack. But some awesome overtaking ensued! (Some lines you win and some.. well even the champ makes errors- that line at the start!)
2017 race was shortened due to high winds up top.

When Sam finally passes that guy around 12:10 its like he's going into warp speed - unbelievable how quick the pros are

It was a coincidence. The guy let him pass at a point where a straight steep track begins.

This vid prouve that you can not win mega when you start far from top riders in terms of line. I raced it in the early 2000's. Was on the last line in qualies. Manage to qualify into finals but my starting line sucked again. This vid remind's me my own mega (apart the start from the glacier).
I am new to MTB....BMX rider! What type of bikes are these? Enduro, trail, downhill mtb?

if you are cruising it takes you 1.5 hours to get to the hotel :) from the top (3300M) but this run was shit.. i did this before it was cool.. less traffic / people in 10-11-12-2015

Why did Sam Hill have to start at the back of the pack? He would have probably set a course record if not for all the traffic to contend with.
