- First time renting the 23' from Slayday to Catalina. I highly recommend this charter. Its very affordable and the boat is well equipped. We launched from Davies in Long Beach, Ca. Unfortunetly there wasnt any sun at all and the water was cold and green. Nonethless it was still an absolute blast.

nice!!
Pretty sick, those damn birds though!
Annoying!
Pretty bad ass I’m trying to buy a boat to go to Catalina island how big was this boat?
I think it was 21
How do you like the Alijoz? I got the same one. What rod did you pair it with and do you think it could land a 50lb+ tuna? since it has so much drag.
I think it could land a 50lb tuna, I don’t think it will be fun but it’s doable. I mainly use it for local stuff, not big offshore trips, I have only caught like 8-10lb yellowtail son it and some bonito, nothing big, I have it on a 15-40lb rod and mainly use it to throw like colt snipers and stuff
Siiiiiick 🤙🏼
The one that broke you off was like, "Na fam, I'm out."
For real 😂😂it wasn’t playin lol
How do you like the alijos reel
Can’t beat it for the price, it works well, it’s smooth and has plenty of power to pull up schoolie bonito or yellows.
I have one on a 7'11" heavy casing rod caught a 15 lb red on it last year I got the upgraded bearings and it cast alot farther and smoother now I personally love it
What was the top speed of this boat?
If I were to guess maybe 25-30 knots
With 4 renters and a full bait tank, about 23-26 kn
I bet that was a White Sea bass that broke you off.
I wouldn’t doubt it haha
