The red cardigan was much nicer than the red waistcoat alternative.
I love hearing different people's perspectives! For me, it was less about the style of cardigan vs waistcoat but more about the amount of red I had on my body. As someone who doesn't wear a lot of bright colours, I think that the red cardigan was a lot to take in when I first put it on. So my next thought was to try a vest as the arms are uncovered, hence less red. Hope that makes sense :)

I love the red shoe or bag idea cuz you get the pop of color without committing too much (like w the red vest or red top)
I've seen people wear red socks with loafers and I am into that idea too!
I think if you're new to wearing red you should start with something on the lower half of your body (tights, socks, skirt) so you're not immediately thrown for a loop by having it at eye level. Another great place to start with red is loungewear/athleticwear or sporty accessories (track separates, tank top, sports bra, drawstring backpack, grocery tote or gym bag, red baseball cap) - items that have a utilitarian purpose so they can (A) still serve a useful function once the trend fizzles out, (B) read as being ''comfortable'' with the trend already as opposed to a tricky ''trend wearing you'' feeling, and (C) give you breathing room to test drive the color without a big investment (financial investment OR emotional investment!) Also there's always the classic red lips and nails!

Actually the red cardigan from Uniqlo looked soooo good on you! There is definitely not too much red.
I think you should get a cashmere scarf or red leather gloves!! That’s how I add red to my winter outfits. you can also do red nails or a glossy red lip balm. I also want to get the j crew bag as well!

I love pops of red, and I have a few things in my wardrobe as it is a staple accent colour for me. But I'm definitely missing a pair of red shoes, probably sneakers. I've been seeing red in the latest fashion week, so it's going to be around for at least the next season, which hopefully means there's more choice when buying.

That Row belt is 👌! I love belts, my favourite brand is Elliot Rhodes - they have interchangeable buckles, so I have several belt straps that can go from understated to statement really easily or can change from gold to silver buckle depending on my outfit.

The Carel Mary Janes in red would be really nice! I always love the idea of red but never really seem to be able to pull it off so I’ll stay far away from buying red clothes!
Yes, love those. I had a look to see if I could find those second hand as I don't know if I could justify the full price of those for mary janes. For my personal style, I think that a ballet flat (without the strap) is more wearable long term, which is why I *think* I would rather get the Repetto ones. ☺️
You can always try a darker shade of red like burgundy? Much more wearable in my eyes!
On a whim I bought a satin, brown blouse, and it’s so pretty. I don’t usually wear brown but I think it’s going to be my go-to color this fall. I also have a brown, corduroy skirt, a caramel-colored leather moto jacket, and brown leather loafers. For once, I already own what’s trending in fashion. 😂

I went for my usual size for the loafers. I haven't worn them for a long time yet, but so far they are super comfy! x

Have you thought about trying a more muted red tone? I just bought a dark red/burgundy jumper from arket which filled that temptation for me. I had the bright red Repetto shoes in the flat version a few years ago and ended up selling them as that particular tone was too much for me.

Yes I do, but definitely not as much as I would like to. I have so many pieces saved in my Vestiaire 😅 I also want to take the time to go to vintage stores more often. We have some great ones here in London!

Instead of buying clothes or shoes in red,you can get a lipstick or nail polish in a red shade,it doesn't have to be a bright red,you can choose the shade that suits your coloring.
