the actor who plays Gideon Fell is so perfect in this part. i bet he’s the only one who could play Rumpole as great as Leo McKern did. and not just because of his voice, but his manner. it would be interesting to hear his interpretation. I haven’t heard any other actor do it well at all - including Cumberbatch.

So,she walks uninvited into someone's house,with a hammer, proceeds to try and break into the safe then plays the victim and becomes outraged when the homeowner hits her over the head with a hand mirror. Plus nobody feels the need to point out she should be charged with breaking and entering. Bizarre
