7s is a better configuration for 24V if using 3.7V nominal cells. Also, from the looks of that wire that 12A BMS will not protect the wire from insulation failure from overheating due to exceeding it's ampacity.
Where can I buy rusty tools? Is shrink-wrap not better? What if I just buy a 24 volt Battery pack and charger?

Well there is no point since while charging it you are just gonna use the power supply.

It doesn't matter you can use any adapter you want like a tx60 or xlr.

those are some really weak solder joints you should try to strengthen them by making them wider
they are not weak, they are plain wrong. plenty of info online how a solderjoint should looklike.
Jeffery .W Its really hard to solder a 18650 battery. There is a coating that solder doesn't stick too. So you need to sand down the ends. Also use a wide tip soldering iron. But its really not a good idea to solder 18650 batteries. To much heat. If you care about your batteries the best way is to spot weld them.

Can you combine multiple battery packs. For example if you wanted to stack the batteries in a tube instead of connecting them all next to each other in rows
Never solder the cells !!! Always spot weld !!! I know what I'm talking about, my 14s7p battery was ruined due to soldering !!!

People, please don't do this. There are many things wrong with this and could be very dangerous.
7S is far better for a 24v lithium ion battery
7S at 100% charge will deliver 29.3v which is perfect for powering 24v devices like power inverters and portable fridges.etc
6S will still work but you will get vastly lower runtime and in the case of DC motors, you will also get lower performance
to keep the rectangular shape, have 7S in a straight line or use an even P number (7S 2P for example)

@@premiere3610 S is Series so 7 cells wired in Series and P for parallel or Pole. So 7S2P would be 7x one cells voltage and 2x one cells run time “ah” Amp Hours

yes you can ... you just won't have control over the 2p if one of your cells dies. It will be noticeable but tho:P

just a heads up but NEVER solder on lithium batteries it can really damage the battery
So what is balancing the cells? you may get away with it for a while if you only use a lite load, but when you use them cell to drill with or any other heavy loads will throw the cells out of balance. A 6S pack 25.2v charger is needed to properly charge, why? First the charger builds the voltage and holds it there, then the current is topped off, you need a power source that does constant voltage - constant current cv/cc 4v per cell is fine, but this is a bulk charge not balanced, right?

If we have a 6s 20A BMS. Does it mean, we can make any Amps size up to 20 Amps. For example, we can make 2, 4 or 10 amps battery with the same BMS?

The discharge value is 3.7 volts but 4.2 volts at full charge. Then 4.2 volts x 6 cells = 25,2 volts.
Never try soldering to a relatively large chunk of metal like a battery even with good flux. Given a little rough handling they will fail. If you want a starter project make yourself a cheap spot welder .. plenty of examples on CZcams ... then join the batteries with strip metal.

Does this battery module have under and overcharge protection? So if the voltage rate say drops from 24 down to 17 does it have a cut off switch? Also does this battery module have overcharge protection? Like if you plugged in a 28 volt charger would it accept it knowingly that the batteries will exceed the safety voltage? And on the same coin what is the lowest and highest voltage Chargers you can connect to this to make sure it gets up to its maximum voltage?
And one last question what if the six batteries that you're putting in even though they're all rated it's a 2000mah, are not at the same voltage when you connect it to the board? Does it have Smart charging circuitry so it knows that one at 3.7 volts you'll need longer to charge someone at 4 volts, without possibly causing an explosion or fire for overcharging? I would love to hear from you

Most auto batteries were designed back in 8 cylinder days.
Every car now has 6 or 4 cylinders.
Perhaps, not as much need to start a 4 cylinder, so no need to carry a 60 lb battery.

hey you shouldn't solder the battery. it will cause a problem in your battery. because your battery will have over temperature.
will 6s batteries 100% charge on 24v 2.5A , by using bms balance cell charger module
24 volts will only take the cells to 4 volts each in theory. a 25.2 volt charger would be required combined with a means of balancing and controlling the current.
if you had more amperage that drill would work better. if you double the size of the battery, you can still keep your current setup. all you would have to do is double up each of the positive and negatives.

18650 Li-ion cells can catch fire and become fireworks!
This is more likely to happen when soldering wires to cell!!
Much safer to spot weld!
The combustion events can happen days or weeks after soldering....
Do not try this at home, unless you know exactly what you are doing!
You can also lose capacity of the cells because of soldering.

Someone please help me... I used the same BMS but when i want to charge the pack and plug in the charger, i get a huge spark in the connector. I already destroyed 2 chargers and now also the connector. It's in a permanently sealed bluetooth speaker so i'll have to completely start this project over :( I don't uncerstand because i didn't make any mistakes in the wiring, used a correct charger, ... I did everything right but this sparking issue is driving me crazy. I spent a lot of work in this thing and i was only able to use it for 2 days until the battery died. Also it has cost me some decent amount of money because RIP those 2 brand new chargers i bought especially for this project :/

The way you would build a 36 volt pack, as opposed to this 24 volt pack, would to just add more cells in series. The cells he's using are around 4 volts each, and by connecting them in series (ie. positive to negative to positive and so forth...) the voltage is added together. So, 6 cells at 4 volts each would net around 24 volts. By the same token, if you added an additional 3 cells that output 4 volts each, you would achieve your desired voltage of 36 volts. The protection circuit might need to be changed out in this case, but that is essentially all that would need to be done in order to up the voltage. Hope this helps!
