- Hasbro has been incredibly inconsistent with recent releases but they have had some really nice figures come out. Can they deliver to fans a great collectible of a character which receives almost no attention at all?

I was working security at Comic Con & in the ML booth they had a huge display of new & old figures, & they had a beautiful scene of tiger stripe Wolverine being tied up by Omega Red & attacked by this Silver Samurai WITH the pink energy effect from Psylocke’s sword.
But they didn't include it of course.

Silver Samurai’s body is able to generate a tachyon field which he focuses through his sword. Also a master of bushido & kenjutsu.

One of my favorite Marvel Legends Figures of All time. I gave him the Katanas from Marvel Select Deadpool, because the one she came with are kinda flimsy, and not shiney.

I strongly agree with your assessment of this figure. I just picked him up yesterday and he's already a contender for Marvel Legend of the year. Colossus and Hulk are both contenders as well.

That’s why I stopped collecting MCU figures . Only collect X-men and it still might just make me go to the poor house with all these X-men legends they got coming out .😬
That's why I stopped collecting MCU figures apart from my Endgame display. I only buy new comic characters or better versions now as well. No one wants 50 Deadpools or Iron Mans. Iron Men?

Hasbro should hire you as a consultant to critique products before releasing them. They have great potential but miss out on a lot of opportunities, it is nice that they finally do away with the whacky wrist joints that made no sense.. and decided to give female figures doubled jointed elbows. Still need to redesign the hip joints to be like Storm Collectibles. Either way they should adopt those recent design changes to make the PR lightining collection even better!
Yep Silver Samurai channels his powers through his sword allowing it to cut through almost anything.
Those pics at the end where he is resting his sword over his shoulder are what the proper hinges are needed for. Just look how freaking cool he looks in that pose, people!
Really hope the ML Nightcrawler is good. He's always been my favorite X-Men character.
Unrelated, but would love to hear from artists like Anthony how it feels once you create a piece and sell it. My motivations are different & my skillset is obviously incomparable to his, but i personally just customize the figures I wish the companies would make. Then i keep them as the crown jewels of my collection. I wonder if it is ever hard for professional-grade customizers to cut the umbilical

Man, they did such a good job on silver surfers paint. Why not this guys. That's okay though he'll take a chrome pen to his armor parts easy

I have been wanting a silver samurai for so long
After watching this, I might actually get this figure too. I was initially gonna pass iceman, samurai, and maybe wolverine because I’m building a collection that includes X-men and i felt that those two figures were not that well known but I guess not. This figure surprised me and I’ll probably just get the whole wave

They should make the 2013 The Wolverine film version of The Silver Samurai.
He could use some custom elemental effects for the swords: fire, ice and lightning. That may not be Earth-616 canon, but it should be because that's what made him so appealing in X-Men: Children of the Atom and MvC2. Those sword power-ups were awesome, not to mention the supers that accompanied each element. I'd really love to see those recreated as accessories.

the hands are the least of that figure's worries. he uses fists plenty so it's a non-issue.

Can’t wait to get this fine figure, just the wrist hinges gives him so much posing potential compared to other sword weilders on the shelf, but just all that articulation together I’ll probably have him standing on a pile of two taskmasters, Black Knight, Typhoid Mary & a few other wrist limited swordmen.
Anthony, is it me and my general inexperience with Marvel Legends and Hasbro action figures in general or is Hasbro finally growing into the company we would love them to become? It may be me just daydreaming but it seems these last 80's and retro action figures may be going into the right direction. They are even going to offer us an Age of Apocalypse line, well maybe it's not has big a hype for every one as it is for me but it will definitively be a very good looking line and if they do with it what they did with this Silver Samurai it may be an actual must buy for both Marvel/X-men fans and action figures collectors.
