"Peter Raymond Kocan (born Peter Raymond Douglas, 4 May 1947) is an Australian author and poet, best known for his attempted assassination of Opposition Leader Arthur Calwell on 21 June 1966. He fired a shot at point-blank range through a car window, but Calwell escaped with only minor facial injuries from broken glass. Kocan, 19 years old at the time, was sentenced to life imprisonment. He was transferred to the Morisset Mental Hospital and released in 1976. He began writing in prison and has published several volumes."

Man, I'm really impressed by how this Peter Kocan guy redeemed himself after his assassination attempt as he really turned his life around when he started writing while in prison and later became a writer.
I’m glad this man managed to get in touch with something that changed his life for the better, allowing him to develop his worldview and mindset and self-image. It shows how valuable genuine reformation is.
Lets be honest, we all complain about our respective governments for basically the same reason.
Everyone knows from past historical examples that the government never gives a shit about its citizens, regardless of what country. At least that's one thing that united humanity together 😄

I've never read something so stupid, how you got 27 likes is beyond me. Study the cultural impact of certain poets such as Goethe or Shakespeare, they transformed and elevated their nation's culture and their languages. Goethe is said to be the most intelligent man who has ever lived.

Reading poetry helps you analyze texts and express yourself, two skills which are highly marketable and put you further ahead of most of the population if you can do them well. The key here is balance between your skills. I applied to be a plumber, worked a different manual labor job for a bit, and now I am becoming an airborne cryptologic language analyst for the Airforce.
Also music is poetry, and because they can be equatable depending on the artist, they are just as useful. Look up Jim Morrison he is a good example.

This one was a ripper. This is probably one of the less bizarre moments in Aussie politics.
But what else can you expect when the people only turn up to vote because 1. They have to and 2. Most importantly, the complimentary voting snag at the polling booths.
We know that regardless of who we vote for, the prime minister will lose their job at least once during their election term, in an intraparty musical chairs anyway. As long as we get our snag, we’re happy.

After viewing the scene at 7:24, Harold Holt's disappearance makes a lot more sense. That smile in those surroundings belies a lifestyle compatible with public scrutiny. Even if he'd enjoyed his time in office, I could certainly understand eventually peacing out, especially if the girls were coming with.
