Cant believe how Dutch could be so nice and kind until he became a crazy bad person.

(Spoilers) Dutch always had this side in him, along with his crazy side (wanting to fight for something). He just gave in to the latter at the moment Hosea died (and earlier too, I suppose when Annabelle died). As Arthur entered a pivotal stage in his life, realizing all the mistakes he had made, and can't repair, he realized things that totally weren't in Dutch's dictionary. Dutch became after Hosea's death more determined to fight for a cause that made sense for Dutch's needs, but not that of the gang, and surely not for Arthur in the end. Dutch can't stop fighting (see RDR1), while Arthur wanted to in a way. He wanted to change, and make sure everyone he loved were safe, as they had things to lose. Dutch and Arthur re-assessed their lives, and got completely different conclusions.

This isn't a cutscene, it's a dialogue that takes place in the camp.
Dutch has a soul, deep down he always did.
Dutch was always a bad person. He hid it behind the pretense of being a good guy. He treated Hosea badly. They're supposed to be partners, but he certainly doesn't treat him like one. He doesn't listen to him, he yelled at him when he was coughing or in pain, and he made him sleep on the cold, hard, dirty ground. He even openly ignored him in Colter, in front of the other men, and rode off when he tries to stop him from robbing Cornwall's train. Micah isn't the ultimate villain of the game. Dutch is. If Arthur was still healthy, he probably would have sided with him and gave the impression off that he cared. In Jack, he most likely wanted him to become an outlaw. HOSEA didn't. But that doesn't mean the same for Dutch. He's the same as Colm O'Driscoll but hid it behind working with a community and so-called family until the mask came off and he really revealed himself.

This is the most wholesome Dutch dialogue in this game. Micah had to ruin it in Chapter 6.
Interesting choice of name. I wonder if it's foreshadowing. Cain killed his brother & became a wanderer.
After Arthur's death Dutch becomes something of an aimless wanderer himself, lost in a world that has no place for him. Although I guess they were more like father & son.
Dutch calls Arthur his son but I feel like Hosea was their surrogate father and Dutch was Arthur's older brother

This is why I like about that he won't let jack have a dog because John doesn't wanna spend time with him but there has been a couple of videos that have said that John is not really Jack's father so That might be true but I think that actually changed an epilog part two then Abigail and John got married. Ask for Micah There is a video that goes Micah killed Jack's dog and if that is the truth Micah is he dead to me. Because I will not take animal cruelty to help no matter what if it's in a game or in real life I am against animal cruelty.
