I respect Azumah and really enjoyed watching him fight for years. He got A few gift decisions over the years, let's not pretend everyone was out to get him. He got A gift in the first Fenech fight. It pains me to say that , and I was more than happy when Azumah knocked him out in the second fight. Genaro Hernandez got hit in the throat by A punch thrown after the bell. Not sure where your logic comes in, with you saying that he ( Hernandez) was looking for A way out ? Both these men had class and were respected by all of their peers. Azumah is truly A great representative of the sport of boxing. I enjoyed watching many of his victories. But to say there were prejudices , is extreme. Most of the fights I watched, the commentators praised him highly
Genario Hernández RIP. Should be in the Boxing Hall of Fame. Azumah Nelson was in the process of throwing a punch there's no way he hit him in the throat on purpose. Genario was tall for a Junior Lightweight and Azumah's punches were coming up from outside. I mean it's Boxing and hats off to Genario for not taking the easy way out especially against a cagey veteran like Nelson.
