- Directional control valves route the flow of oil in a hydraulic circuit to the actuator. In this How-To video, we'll be discussing functionality of various types of directional control valves and the terminology used to classify them. Topics included in this discussion: What is the difference between 3 or 4 way? What is the difference between 3 and 4 position? How does detent action differ from spring center action? What is open center versus closed center? And finally, what is a tandem center valve? We hope that this video is useful to you! Do you have questions that weren't answered in this video? Thank you for the clear definitions.
Thank you very much and very clear concise video I'm about to invest a lot of money in different valves for resale and this does help thanks again
Thanks. Before I found your video, I searched the Internet for hours without a good explanation. Excellent video.
Glad you found the video useful!
Thanks for this lesson
Thanks BAILEY.
Very useful for someone learning this stuff for their new tractor.
We're glad you found the video helpful. Thanks Paul!
It was very informative, thanks for sharing
thank you Sir it really helps...very nice
thank you for this informative video material.
Thanks for the information. I have my final exam tomorrow and I am doing research to better understand directional control valves.
instablaster
Thanks.
Do they make any o ring kits to rebuilt these valves? I have a dcf16m454lf1 directional valve.
can you tell me if you can flip the control handles so the ports for the cylinders face down while the handles face up?
Thanks
Thenks
I want to used above 300 RPM hydraulic motor in both directions. Which type hydraulic lever should be use for soft stating & stopping of hydraulic motor.
Kindly suggest
Great video.
My question is..
I have a home built heavy duty log splitter with a spring actuated handle. I have to hold the handle forward to move the ram to split a log then push the handle backwards to remove the logs I split. It is real time consuming compared to other splitters I've seen and videos.
Is this normal for this type of control?? Should I change it??
You can get an automatic kick back valve
thanks for vid. My inner 10 year old kid got a chuckle from "difference between 3way and 4 way".
Great RIT
Why hydraulic pump makes noise? How to eliminate it?
what valve would I need to use for a power beyond to use with a hydraulic motor? I believe its a open loop setup.
I also meant to add that the control valve has two pistons and with two handles that are connected together..
This was a home made built unit soni think the people just used what ever they found to use as a control valve 🤔
Great information, however, it would be more informative if you had a better sound system.
Thanks a lot my name is bailey too lolzz
Lol I test those for work
