Preservation through memorization is one of the worst ways for human beings to preserve anything.
You're bound to eventually mess up, and change the story... the changes are slight at first, like how people recite things differently, but over time you will have one hadith say Mohammad married Aisha when she was six, and another hadith saying he married Aisha when she was seven..
Why the discrepancy? Because preservation through pure memorization is garbage.

If the Quran is preserved:
1 Why did Uthman burn large sections of it?
2 Where is the original ?
3 Why are there over 30 DIFFERENT versions currently in circulation?
4. What was burned?
5. Why were large sections burned?

According to him they brurned the Qurans due to respect for it then also adds there were mistakes in them and human error was at fault.
He then states new copies were sent out from the original to each of the main cities.
Yet neither the original nor these copies can be found.
Further to that over 30 copies have been sourced and read that still have grammatical errors in them when put up against the Hafs Quran.

Therein lays the issue for Islam.
Whilst we are on the subject of claims and God you should insist any Muslim you encounter go read Exodus 3 and the very important conversation between GOD and Moses within it.
1. God speaks from within a burning bush (He’s in his own creation)
2 God gives Moses his name ( His name is not Allah nor the 98 other names bestowed upon Allah)
3 God reaffirmed that this name is forever and for all Generations ( אֶהְיֶה - Ehyeh -I AM )
From this account of Moses we can state with full confidence that Allah is not the God of Moses.
We can therefore dismiss the claim by Islam that the Quran is the preserved word of the God of Moses.
It clearly isn’t.
Conclusion:
God and Moses burned the Quran 2000 years before it was even a mental concept of its author.
All Uthman did was set fire to combustible materials and within them any notion what was written was preserved by the GOD of Moses.
It’s almost as if God knew what was coming ( He’s God after all ) and put the pointless argument to rest before it even became a conversation right here on CZcams.
Now Islam can keep attempting to resurrect the argument but as we know only God can resurrect the truth.
If it’s truth in the vernacular of God that Muslims seek then tell them to come to Jesus.
For the Word became flesh and dwelt among us.
That word is eternal just like the source.

As a Christian born and raised and spent most of my adulthood in the middle east with 98% Muslim neighborhood and studied quran by islamic government force, I realized Islam as developed from from late 9th century to 13th century had to go to it's transitions and survival modes. The Hafs version of quran I must say is closest to the events that happened in the 7th century while Mohammad was still alive 300 years after his death and the Warsh quran mostly focused to muslims from the far lands, like Egypt, Africa and Persia.

The Qur'an which was chosen among the 30 as the official text for the whole world, belong to Hafs. Hafs also didn’t speak or write in the Quraishi dialect. He was from Kufa, which is in Iraq, the very place which was despised by both Hudhaifa and Uthman, and whose manuscripts were burned in 652 AD because they were seen as a corrupted dialect.
1) Hafs was unreliable, weak, untrustworthy, and a liar according to scholars and used fabricated chains, so that others avoided him and refused to use him.
2) He was chosen for political purposes (the Ottoman’s preferred him to the others).
3) He was chosen by the Saudi Arabian government and in 1924 the Hafs quran was canonized. One wonders why the Arabian government chose an Iraqi dialect over their own?
In 1924, the government-appointed committee in Cairo selected one of these accepted readings-the Hafs ‘an ‘Asim version which dates back to A.D. 745-to use across the Egyptian religious educational system. This translation was soon adopted throughout the rest of the world. A large number of the competing readings were then destroyed by sinking them in the Nile river (The Qur’an and its Biblical Subtext). True story.

Research demonstrates that oral transmission and memory are insufficient to transmit verbatim an oral text. The ability to emorise something verbatim exists because of textuality. When you have a written text and that written text becomes the standard, then you have a measure/yardstick to measure everything against.

Islam is a cult, Quran is paraphrased from Bible, Torah and pre-Islamic poets, in fact, Mohammed used poetry and rhymed prose as two methods of conviction for the language of the Quran. Every attempt was made to distinguish Quran revelation as Divine and from God, but history tells of another story. Poets (Sha'ir) of the time filled the roles of Historians, soothsayers and propagandist. They represented their own tribal traditions and glorified the Arabian Peninsula. Their poetry had the ability to stir up emotions, lead people up to battle and denounce a person. Apprentices were called "Rawi" (narrators) whose job was to learn the poems by heart and to recite them with explanations in a beautiful/dramatic voice they would also often have to mention the chain (Isnad) of people from who they learnt the poem. This tradition was later adopted by the "Huffaz" (Memorizers) or "Qurra" (Reciters) for their part in Quran preservation. The following Poets are documented as pre-Islamic: Imrail Qays, Tarafa Bin Al Abd, Zuhyur Bin Sulma, Labid Bin Rabia, Amr Bin Kulthuum, Antara Bin Shaddad, Al-Hitara Bin Hilliza, Al-A'shaa Maymuun, Ubaid Bin Al-Abras. They dug the grave of our companion and threw his body outside it, for he had run away from them." They dug the grave for him as deep as they could, but in the morning, they again saw that the earth had thrown his body out.
