Humans are frugivores and not omnivores.
      This is called species-specific diet.
It is the most important thing to understand for humanity right now.
Cooking destroys the food and most nutrients in it.
This should be common knowledge by now.
But the masses are still very ignorant and they are constantly distracted by nonsense.
It is the reason, why we still live in the dark ages.
To have paradise on Earth, humanity must adopt the species-specific diet.

He didn't state it, but if you read the Optimum Nutrition Recommendations at minute 10:05 in the video, it says, "Those over 65 years of age should take at least 1,000 mcg (ug) cyanocobalamin every day." That's a LOT different than taking 50 micrograms daily. I think that should have been stated and explained........That seems like a very high daily dose, especially considering the RDA of 2.4 micrograms per day. I was taking that dose and my primary care doc asked me to stop taking B12, because my serum B12 was very high, even though I did not take it for several days prior to the blood test.

Interesting video on a very important subject. I have one observation to make: it seems that doctors believe we're all exactly the same, with bodies that behave in precisely the same manner. This is not true. My wife was told she needed 2.4 mcg B12 daily until she hit age 65. Suddenly, on her birthday, her doctor told her that her body now needed 1000 mcg per day! Something had happened overnight, apparently, that dramatically reduced her body's ability to absorb this vitamin (no, no lab tests had been done). I'm sure you see the nonsensical nature of this belief that the human body behaves like this in a clockwork manner. My wife did up her daily intake, but only to 250 mcg, because high doses taken without clear medical indication can lead to blood clots.

@@oraziohall2969 Damn I must be dead after 30 years of no flesh (meat was a word that meant all food), dairy, eggs (chicken menstruation, ewww). doc and folks think I present about 10 years younger than I am. Kid has been vegan from birth and is not dead and is not unhealthy (according to doc and bloodwork).
There are also thousands upon thousands, over 20,000 - of edible plants and currently we consume very little of the number. Recently it has been found that duck weed has b-12.
The b-12 is a bacteria it was in the ground and in the water.

Can a single dose of 5000 be taken every other week or should it be weekly or daily?

The subject is confusing. More and more videos krep coming out on it: i thought 50mcg per day or 2500/2000 per week, or 1000mcg per day over age 65. I am in that age bracket: should i take 2500 per week or 1000 per day?

Since people who aren't on a plant-based diet are also found "in the wild" to be deficient in B-12, why only recommend the supplement for people on a plant-based diet?

50mcg/day? The Bragg nutritional yeast label says 1 serving (2 Tbs) contains 15mcg B12, which is supposedly 630% of the Daily Value. To get 50mcg I would need to eat over 6 Tbs per day. That doesn't seem right.
