@@Forsthman64 sure! When she says “my soul magnifies the Lord,” she’s not saying that “through my greatness I make much of God.” That would be like a microscope: making something small appear to be big through a microscope. That’s one kind of magnification. What Mary is saying is that she is magnifying the Lord as a telescope magnifies a star. She points to God’s goodness and mercy and glory, even though she is humble and weak and in need of a Savior. That is magnifying like a telescope: making God appear more like how He truly is! God's people are in all the denominations within Christendom. They are living within the light they have and understand. When a believer is given additional light it's best embrace the light. Sometimes that requires trying to make changes within the church. Other times it requires the enlightened believer to move on to another church or denomination. Martin Luther tried to bring about change, but it wasn't received by the leadership. In fact the RCC threatened him with death.

Many of Rome’s false doctrines stem from their false gospel. Mass, penance, purgatory, etc all stem from their false gospel that doesn’t save and doesn’t bring peace with God. All the extras are needed to fill the holes and gaps in their soteriology, if you can even call it that. Instead of the true gospel that unites us to Christ through Faith and the result is salvation and the sanctification that results in a changed life. With Rome you get an endless cycle of penance and fear and anxiety and a system that gives Rome power and their people terror and anxiety. Rome abandoned the scripture and the faith of the early church long ago. Any honest review of history will clearly show that Rome today is nowhere near what the early church believed. It has been hundreds of years of slow accretions and inventions of men from pagan, mystic and gnostic sources. The Reformation, praise God, was a return to the church that Christ and the Apostles handed the church fathers. It was a return to scripture as the highest authority that all other authorities must be judged against. Other authorities are useful and edifying, but once you elevate some other authority to the level of scripture, you are bound to end up in endless ditches like Rome has found itself countless times.

The reason Mr White’s impression of the Glories of Mary was degrading to him is because he read it out of theological context, as per usual. I have one thing to say to Mr White about Saint Alphonsus Ligouri: he prayed intensely and offered up his paralysis disability to God. Are you praying more than you’re talking? If you are, I apologize. If you’re not, I urge you to do so brother. In heaven, there’ll be no debates. You mean he took in the truth that as Jesus' ministry grew, He distanced Himself from His earthly family and drew closer to His Spiritual family. (Matthew 12:46-50, Mark 3:21-35, Luke 8:19-21, Luke 11:27-28)
You mean he took in the truth that as Jesus' ministry grew, Mary's role diminished and that is very evident of the New Testament writers. After the 4 Gospels, Mary is only mentioned once by name in the upper room prayer vigil (Acts 1:13-14), where she is listed second to last behind the unnamed women and ahead of Jesus' brothers.
Notice they all prayed WITH Mary and NOT TO Mary.
The only other reference to Mary in the remainder of the New Testament is where the great apostle Paul merely refers to her as "born of a woman" in Galatians 4:4.
No special attention was ever given to Mary by Jesus nor any of the apostles.
Oh...and by the way, the "woman" in Revelation 12 is Israel (Jerusalem), NOT Mary, God's chosen (elect) people whom He will rescue from the hand of all her enemies and restore the kingdom to in the last days. (From Genesis through to the Book of Revelation)
...And just what can Mary possibly do for you Catholics, that Almighty God the Father, His Son and Holy Spirit can't possibly do for you Catholics?
Please list just one thing...one thing is all I ask.

Oh really now...is that a fact!
      Catechism of the Catholic Church:
"Beginning with Mary's unique cooperation with the working of the Holy Spirit, *the Churches developed their prayer TO the holy Mother of God,* centering it on the person of Christ manifested in his mysteries. In countless hymns and antiphons expressing this prayer, two movements usually alternate with one another: the first "magnifies" the Lord for the "great things" he did for his lowly servant and through her for all human beings the second entrusts the supplications and praises of the children of God to the Mother of Jesus, because she now knows the humanity which, in her, the Son of God espoused." (CCC 2675)
"Mary is the perfect Orans (pray-er), a figure of the Church. *When WE PRAY TO HER,* we are adhering with her to the plan of the Father, who sends his Son to save all men. Like the beloved disciple we welcome Jesus' mother into our homes, for she has become the mother of all the living. *WE CAN PRAY WITH AND TO HER.* The prayer of the Church is sustained by the prayer of Mary and united with it in hope." (CCC 2679)
Sorry, but you do what the Catholic Church says you do!
      Yes...Keep things in context.
May I suggest you Google search Catholic "Marian (Mary) prayers"...there sure is a lot more going on in the Catholic Church than just "praying with Mary"!!
You wrote: "First of all, she was still alive, but that’s not to say she didn’t already act as an intercessor with Jesus (eg., in Cana). "
Okay then, let's put things in perspective by looking at the wedding in Cana, where Mary supposedly "interceded" for the wedding party, though the Scriptures never mention she interceded for anyone, but brought the attention of running out of wine to Jesus herself.
But first let's see why Jesus came to this world:
      - *"For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.”* Luke 19:10
      - "When John, who was in prison, heard about the deeds of the Messiah, he sent his disciples to ask Him, “Are you the one who is to come, or should we expect someone else?”
*Jesus replied, “Go back and report to John what you hear and see: The blind receive sight, the lame walk, those who have leprosy are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, and the good news is proclaimed to the poor."* Matthew 11:2-5
Now second, let's look at some real-life changing intercessions in Scripture:
      - The royal official interceded for his sick son. (John 4:43-54)
      - The Centurion interceded for his paralyzed/suffering servant. (Matthew 7:5-13)
      - The men interceded for a paralytic. (Matthew 9:1-8)
      - A ruler interceded for his dead daughter. (Matthew 9:18-26)
      - A man interceded for his son who was demon possessed. (Matthew 17:14-19)
      - Some people interceded for a deaf/mute man. (Mark 7:31-37)
      - A woman interceded for her demon possessed daughter. (Mark 7:24-30)
Amazing...Mary's only concern ("intercession") was that the wedding party had run out of wine, a consumable beverage that people can get drunk on!!
Gee...sure looks like Mary wasn't on the same page as Jesus!
So, next time you are at a wedding, and they run out of wine, you be sure and let Mary know....okay!
...And leave all the life changing miracles for Jesus.

The sad part is Mr. White constantly uses the same arguments over and over again, even though they are sufficiently answered by Catholic apologists. Which can't be said for arguments against his own tradition.... Look at the Early Church and there you will find the Catholic Church. Nothing remotely resembles the Protestant Church (start with the first 3 centuries). For example, if you were to walk into a Early Church would you see a pulpit at the forefront center of the church or would you see an altar? Did Church revolve around the sermon or did it revolve around worshiping Jesus in the Eucharist? The burden of proof would be on Protestants to prove otherwise.

@@standingbeforegod Sure have... I just watched him debate Jimmy Akins... The consensus in the comment section was that Mr. Akins won the debate hands down. Many Protestants who commented also concurred that Jimmy won. Jimmy did a great job explaining how there are a plethora quotes from Protestant leaders (ie:Martin Luther, etc.) who would be in agreement with Catholic doctrinal teachings. Unfortunately, as we know, there is no unity within the Protestant faith on many essential doctrines... Jesus prays for all believers that we should be one (Jn: 17: 20-23). Which is why I ask anyone who wants to faithfully follow Jesus to look at the Early Church and ask yourself is it Protestant or Catholic?... God Bless you!

@@brianh2477 The reason the arguments don't change is that truth doesn't change. Rome's arguments change all the time because they have dramatically changed just in the last 150 years. Pope Francis would have been burnt on the stake 500 years ago. The "consensus" in the comments isn't really a consensus. The comments are always filled with coping youtube Catholics and orthobros, that's just youtube religious culture. I'm in a high church presbyterian reformed congregation and we have droves of dedicated conservative roman Catholics joining our church ALL the time. They are usually in the majority of new members. Rome cannot give you peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. Akins didn't win that debate, he never mention the entire hamster wheel Rome forces you to be on in order to be saved. There is no peace. In the final analysis, salvation lies with you. God did all he could but you failed. That is not good news at all. It's depressing. By the way, the early church fathers were not Roman Catholic, nor Eastern Orthodox, nor Protestant. They were just the early church Fathers. Read Calvin's institutes. The entire book is arguing against Rome to bring the church BACK to the early church as understood by the Fathers. Rome is far from that.

@unhitched5108 Steve, All I asked is what would you see if you walked in a Early Christian Church at the center forefront... I have proof of what you would see if you'd like me to elaborate. And it wouldn't look or teach anything like what you would hear or see in Protestant Churches.
Moreover, the Word of God is both Scripture and Oral Tradition which is btw IN SCRIPTURE.
Paul says that much Christian teaching is to be found in the tradition which is handed down by word of mouth (2 Tim. 2:2). He instructs us to “stand firm and hold to the traditions which you were taught by us, either by word of mouth or by letter” (2 Thess. 2:15).
So, you are correct in saying it is a appeal to tradition because to put it simply, IT MATTERS.

Was Esther's intercession more effective in the eyes of the King of Persia than Mordechai's? Absolutely. So we have one of our own who is queen in heaven and who intercedes for her people. He has designed it thus.
Why does He use angels to deliver messages? Why does He utilize the cooperation of our parents when He creates us? Why did He appoint apostles to preach in His name? He doesn't need any of this but He wants us to show our love for Him and each other by ministering.

We are all invited to the wedding feast of the Lamb. We can all be queens of heaven in a sense though we're unlikely to be as united to Christ to the level that she is.
That's not true about worship. There are many people alive today to whom I show praise, veneration and affection to, my parents for instance. It is not worship. Any praise honor and glory given to Mary is first given because she is the Mother of God. Christ said we should respect the earth because it is his footstool. She is a lot more than that. Nobody adores her as our sovereign lord, we honor her because Our Lord honored her with His grace and presence. She is the first Christian. The first to totally and fully say yes to God and the new mother of all those who also wish to do so, as opposed to Eve.
Protestant ministers need to stop justifying their rebellion by slandering the Church. Tradition matters, 2 Thessalonians 2:15 Therefore, brethren, stand fast and hold the traditions which you were taught, whether by word or our epistle.
By rejecting Tradition, protestants paved the way for the mass apostasy of our time. If Christianity could be wrong for over a thousand years about tradition than it's not a far stretch to conclude its wrong about the bible as well. Not surprisingly, it was Protestant countries like Germany and England that first began rejecting God altogether with evolution, "higher criticism" of the bible, acceptance of divorce, usury, worship of the state, worship of race, monopolies, abortion and contraception, etc. These countries started secret societies and became apostles of apostasy throughout the whole world.
Clearly honest people, open to the Holy Spirit who reject the social fruits of Protestantism listed above usually end up in the Catholic Church today, such as Candace Owens, Randal Terry, Eva Vlaardingerbroek, Jordan Peterson (soon enough), Taylor Marshall, Eric Prince etc. etc. etc.
These men and women have all studied the bible coming from non-Catholic backgrounds and come to the conclusion that the Catholic Church is the one true church of Jesus Christ. Only God, through His Catholic Church can repair the mess the world is in today but first the Catholic Church has to rediscover its own mission after having allowed many of the errors of Protestantism to penetrate the ranks and brought it into decline.

If Abraham was already JUSTIFIED by His FAITH ALONE, then why does God need to TEST Abraham by sacrificing his son, Isaac?
If Christians are already justified (SAVED) by just having FAITH ALONE (belief in Christ Jesus), then, why do we need to undergo the PURIFICATION of FAITH by TRIALS and SACRIFICES through WORKS/ACTS/DEEDS? (ref. 1 Peter 1:6-7)... WHY? ... because that is the only TIME our FAITH is made PERFECT (SAVED) in the Sight of God...
St. Paul's message to the ROMANS was not about FAITH ALONE... because if it does, then, St. Paul's FAITH does not equate with his DOINGS...

The gospel doesn't let you tie up heavy burdens upon people's shoulders, or devour widows' houses. So Rome had to change the gospel. That's why the laity had to be forbidden from reading it. Here's what's so amazing about God's word though. It has transcended all of that. Despite every human effort in corruption and deception over the centuries, God has sustained and preserved His revelation to us. That's such an incredible miracle when you realize how it was just woven through and across our entire history, completely unscathed.

1.- Jesus' first miracle was through the Intercession of the Virgin Mary.
Let's explain this passage in detail to see what happened:
"Three days later, there was a wedding in Cana in Galilee, and the mother of Jesus was there.
Jesus and his disciples had also been invited to the wedding.
When the wine ran out, the mother of Jesus said to him, 'They have no wine.'
And Jesus said to her, 'Woman, what does this have to do with me? My hour has not yet come.'
His mother said to the servants, 'Do whatever he tells you.'
Now there were six stone water jars there for the Jewish rites of purification, each holding twenty or thirty gallons.
... The master of the feast tasted the water now become wine, and did not know where it came from (though the servants who had drawn the water knew), the master of the feast called the bridegroom
and said to him, 'Everyone serves the good wine first, and when people have drunk freely, then the poor wine. But you have kept the good wine until now.'
This, the first of his signs, Jesus did at Cana in Galilee, and manifested his glory. And his disciples believed in him." Jn 2:1-11

I have provided the holy scripture to provide insight as to Catholic dogma on the Eucharist - the REAL presence. I find it problematic Dr White isnt able to do same for his audiences. The Son of Man, explanation given by White is well known for thousands of years, it is a term the Jewish faithful would correlate to the prophets. However, Dr White has a recurring habit in his apologetics to jump around a lot instead of making his point. Why doesn't not make his path straight, instead digressing about new words, anecdotes, describing the Son of Man all unnecessary to refute or debunk the Eucharist. If he has the proof of this let him cut to the chase using scripture in the all the Holy Bible to do so. For 1500 years before the protestant church began it's movement of faith alone, all early Christians ( Catholics and Orthodox) believed then and do now, the REAL PRESECNCE OF CHRIST JESUS in the Eucharist. Let that sink in.
There is nothing NEW that Dr White can demonstrate, but he tries...However, if Jesus wanted to double down on belief alone for his Eucharist remembrance, he would have said it, correct? Jesus goes on to say " I live because of the Father, so he who eats me will live because of me." again He didn't say " same as believing in His divinity. When the multitude are leaving Jesus and his apostles tell Him that the saying is hard to accept, does Jesus reassure them that it is a metaphor or parable and that he meant belief in Him being the Savior? NOPE. As you will SEE believe St Paul ALSO believes and CAUTIONS those believing Christians NOT to take the Eucharist UNWORTHILY. Finally, below you see that purposely Jesus did not REVEAL His identity to the 2 men on the road Emmaus until He Blessed and broke the bread...then VANISHED. Some protestants like to jest that Jesus isn't inside a wafer of Bread. Jesus is God and He has already proven He is capable of all miracles and He also has proved He is diligent to fulfill all prophecies and truths of His Word.
Truly. as his vocation, I hope Dr White do a little more due diligence in his anti-Catholic rhetoric. Also, seriously researching the miracles of Eucharist throughout the ages, with more modern miracles' findings making scientists scratch their heads. You won't hear on mainstream news, just like you won't hear the miracles of the Shroud of Turin. RESEARCH and READ and learn for yourselves.
    JOHN 6:45:
It is written in the prophets, ‘And they shall all be taught by God.’ Every one who has heard and learned from the Father comes to me. 46 Not that any one has seen the Father except him who is from God; he has seen the Father. 47 Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes has eternal life. 48 I am the bread of life. 49 Your fathers ate the manna in the wilderness, and they died. 50 This is the bread which comes down from heaven, that a man may eat of it and not die. 51 I am the living bread[c] which came down from heaven; if any one eats of this bread, he will live for ever; and the bread which I shall give for the life of the world is my flesh.”
52 The Jews then disputed among themselves, saying, “How can this man give us his flesh to eat?”[d] 53 So Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of man and drink his blood, you have no life in you; 54 he who eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day. 55 For my flesh is food indeed, and my blood is drink indeed. 56 He who eats my flesh and drinks my blood abides in me, and I in him. 57 As the living Father sent me, and I live because of the Father, so he who eats me will live because of me. 58 This is the bread which came down from heaven, not such as the fathers ate and died; he who eats this bread will live for ever.”
    Luke 22:15:
And he said to them, “I have earnestly desired to eat this Passover with you before I suffer. 16 For I tell you I will not eat it[a] until it is fulfilled in the kingdom of God.” 17 And he took a cup, and when he had given thanks he said, “Take this, and divide it among yourselves. 18 For I tell you that from now on I will not drink of the fruit of the vine until the kingdom of God comes.” 19 And he took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and gave it to them, saying, “This is my body, which is given for you. Do this in remembrance of me.” 20 And likewise the cup after they had eaten, saying, “This cup that is poured out for you is the new covenant in my blood.[b]
    ST PAUL
    1 Corinthians 23:
For I received from the Lord what I also delivered to you, that the Lord Jesus on the night when he was betrayed took bread, 24 and when he had given thanks, he broke it, and said, “This is my body which is for[c] you. Do this in remembrance of me.” 25 In the same way also the cup, after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood. Do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of me.” 26 For as often as you eat this bread and drink the cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes.
    Partaking of the Supper Unworthily
27 Whoever, therefore, eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty of profaning the body and blood of the Lord. 28 Let a man examine himself, and so eat of the bread and drink of the cup. 29 For any one who eats and drinks without discerning the body eats and drinks judgment upon himself.
    Luke 24:28
So they drew near to the village to which they were going. He acted as if he were going farther, 29 but they urged him strongly, saying, “Stay with us, for it is toward evening and the day is now far spent.” So he went in to stay with them. 30 When he was at table with them, he took the bread and blessed and broke it and gave it to them. 31 And their eyes were opened, and they recognized him. And he vanished from their sight.
    CLEMENT OF ALEXANDRIA
“’Eat my flesh,’ [Jesus] says, ‘and drink my blood.’ The Lord supplies us with these intimate nutrients, he delivers over his flesh and pours out his blood, and nothing is lacking for the growth of his children” (The Instructor of Children
ST. IGNATIUS of Antioch on the Eucharist in his Letter to the Smyrnaeans:
“Take note of those who hold heterodox opinions on the grace of Jesus Christ which has come to us, and see how contrary their opinions are to the mind of God. . . . They abstain from the Eucharist and from prayer because they do not confess that the Eucharist is the flesh of our Savior Jesus Christ, flesh which suffered for our sins and which that Father, in his goodness, raised up again. They who deny the gift of God are perishing in their disputes.”
The earliest Christians were much more informed without their faith being watered down by 500 years of protestant interpretations. The belief in Jesus' REAL presence for His future believers is essential and let's not forget Jesus said He is with us always until the close of the age.

It is very important in the church to have a leader or hierarchy. So that Protestants or Protestant pastors do not carelessly interpret the contents of the Bible.

I find it strange that you mention Protestants as having the need for leaders, but not Catholics. Don’t you think that Roman Catholics often “carelessly interpret the contents of the Bible?”
Who is Peter writing to when he wrote this: “And count the patience of our Lord as salvation, just as our beloved brother Paul also wrote to you according to the wisdom given him, as he does in all his letters when he speaks in them of these matters. There are some things in them that are hard to understand, which the ignorant and unstable twist to their own destruction, as they do the other Scriptures. You therefore, beloved, knowing this beforehand, take care that you are not carried away with the error of lawless people and lose your own stability.”

The people asked Jesus: “What must we do to be doing the works of God (Ti poiomen ina ergazometha to erga tou Theou)?” He replied: “This is the work of God (to ergon tou Theou): that you believe in Him whom God has sent” (John 6:27-29).

St. Paul said, "It is by GRACE you have been saved through FAITH, and not the result of your effort, it is a gift of God," not by/from WORKS so that no one can/ may boast." (ref. Ephesians 2:8-9)...
Take note #1: ... the word "ALONE" was not written in this PARTICULAR passage...
Take note #2: ... for a Man to have FAITH, God's gift of GRACE (mercy) must come first before FAITH... therefore, in reality, FAITH was never ALONE in the first place, logically speaking...
St. Paul said, "Nobody is justified (made righteous) by/from the WORKS of the LAW in the Sight of God, since through the LAW comes the knowledge of SIN."...(ref. Romans 3:20)...
Take note #3: ... the "WORKS of the LAW" that St. Paul was referring to, was the LAW of Moses/Mosaic LAW... not the LAW of Christ...
Apostle James said, "You see his (Abraham's) FAITH worked together with his ACTION, and his FAITH made perfectly complete by his ACTIONS/WORKS," "and the Scripture was fulfilled because Abraham believed in God, and it was counted to him as righteousness and was called a FRIEND OF GOD." "You see that a PERSON is justified (made righteous) by WORKS/ACTIONS and not by FAITH ALONE ... (ref. James 2:22-24)...
Take note #4: ... the ACTIONS/WORKS that Apostle James was referring to was Abraham's OBEDIENCE to follow the WILL of God... Justified by his ACTIONS.
Christ Jesus said, "Whosoever DOES (Do/Act/Work/Deed) the WILL of My FATHER shall enter the Kingdom of Heaven."... "And shall be my Mother, Brother, and Sister."... (ref. Matt. 7:21-23 / 12:48-50)...

I'm pretty sure demons would like it even less. Thanks to Jesus Christ, the Church, and Mother Mary, who expressed she is just a creature and totally subservient to God, we've had the Holy Bible for another 1308 years instead of the other literature. Thanks to The Church, supported by Jesus Christ, we have the world we live in: marriage and the family institution and the middle class, education based on beauty, goodness and truth, architecture, science and farming technology, clean water and the sewage system, music and art and health and fitness. When anyone speaks ill of The Church, it puts us back more than 1308 years.
