This happened to me once when I was stuck in math class. I looked at the clock once and I swear there was 5 minutes left, only to look back and see I went backwards in spacetime!
did anything else happen during math that wasn't normal.
+Lets Read! Time is a very curious thing. Have you ever noticed that sometimes time can pass by very quickly, but once you actually take notice of it (it's now x:xx), it will suddenly slow to a crawl? This happens to me at work all the time. I'll occasionally notice the time, and once I do, I'll note what feels like half an hour pass and look up just to see 5 minutes have passed. I wonder if that's a feature of time or merely my own perception of it.

+Lunavarion try a experiment, get you're iPhone and set timer to 35secs and let it go down to 0 then do again holding you're breath ,when holding you're breath time will seem slower because you are not enjoying it and the same goes for work some days are easy and some are hard making it longer. the same theory's can be applied by holding a lighter flame for 1second under you're hand it seems like 5secs but without the flame the seconds pass easy. strange but true
djcranium1210 I did account for the possibility that my lack of enjoyment at work causes time to seem slower for me. The last line of my comment said that it could all be my perception of time that makes it seem slower.
My dad had a weird experience when I was young. He set his alarm for his normal time to wake, he woke up at 7, left the house at 8 and he times it so he arrives at work at 9.
The drive went smoothly, no traffic, no wrong turns and he arrived at work as expected.
When he walked into the office, his colleague sarcastically said 'good afternoon'.
My dad said 'what?'
He looked at the time and it was 11am.
He'd lost 2 and a half hours and he has absolutely no idea what happened.
Everything seemed normal, nothing untoward happened on this journey, yet he lost all that time.

I live in the UK and about 14 years ago something strange happened that will be with me for the rest of my life. Myself, my mum and aunty decided to drive to a holiday park where my brother was staying with his family. The trip is a three hour drive there and I was driving. We spoke with my brother prior to setting off and said we would arrive approx 11.30 and to meet us at the front gates. As I was driving and taking in the scenery we were a little ahead of time and were not to far from our destination, so as not to arrive to early we decided to stop off at some services and have a drink. We approached what I remember as being a little chef restaurant. When I got out the car I could hear a humming sound but didn't take much notice. We entered the place and sat down. But it just didn't seem right, there were ppl in there also but they didn't seem to be doing anything, almost like actors at there right place ready for action. I had turned round to a table to see a family of four and because I had looked I smiled but there faces were just blank no expression. We ordered tea and food but no smell of cooking. After we had finished I went to pay and the young lady cud not work the till, she was looking confused so the guy that was supposed to be cooking the food came over to help her. My mum had gone in to the toilets and as she was coming out of the cubicle the same woman I had saw at the table of four was stood staring at my mum not saying a word. We left got back in the car, it was easy enough to get back on to the main road as we were going north and as we were traveling my aunty pointed out the same land marks that we had already seen while traveling up and the distance to our destination had increased. The road we were traveling along we had already done over an hour ago prior to going in the cafe. We should of arrived at the holiday park approx 11.30 but it was around 12.40 when we finally arrived. My brother had been waiting but left the front gates because we didn't arrive. When we met up with him we explained it all, with a reply 'how strange'. When returning home my aunty told her son. He called to say he had done some reaserch and the place we had visited 'the little chef' did not exist in that area. To this day it still has me wondering what happened....
Please post your story in the reddit glitch sub! You fell into an alien trap, I’ve read similar stories. You may have been abducted, and that is a cover memory type virtual reality. You lost time, so could be parallel world slip, but because everyone acted strange , it’s more likely an abduction cover memory, like a real film set you get transported to. Most people aren’t paying attention to their surroundings, so this works quite well. Otherwise the abduction would be too traumatic.

I'd have HAD to go towards it as I'm that 'curiosity killed the cat' type of person. However they had NO idea what kind of future or even dimension or universe they were in. It could have been present day in a parallel universe for example, and the 'town' was instead a huge technological metropolis. I imagine such a highly advanced civilization would know far more about the physics of time and space than we do. Humans may not have been the only supreme intelligence living there, and perhaps they have very strict laws governing time travel or travel between universes etc due to the obvious risk of paradoxes, and not taken too kindly to anyone from 'another place' being there. It could well have been a 'law enforcement' vehicle that flew towards them in order to scare them away.

I was high b4 an it felt like i went to another dimension which in our time was about 10 minutes (my bf said i just looked like i was watching tv/daydreaming) but i lived somewhere else and it was like i was there 20 or more years also visited other "world's" , i met some people who were my good friends and we travelled to other worlds together i asked them to come to earth and they wouldn't because the time goes too fast 1 earth minute is over 2 years (or something like that) as we don't live in the here and now, we live in the past and future, we have labelled it and plan our lives around it. Always either waiting for something (wishing time away) or remembering good TIMEs (wishing we could turn back the clock) a child can't wait to grow up and an adult regrets wanting to grow up. We know if we die of old age how many years we have left roughly and we think it's not long and every slice of time labelled/measured/dated that we live through is another day/year/decade closer to death so every year goes faster because you THINK it's going fast. Have u ever been waiting 5 or 10 mins somewhere u dnt want to be and it feels like 4eva? U THINK it's going slow so it does. As children we THINK 6 weeks (uk school summer holiday) is so long. They told me no1 goes to earth because they get programmed/hypnotized/brainwashed so we lose our memories and dumbed down so much we dont even realise were enslaved and imprisoned, we don't realise we can do anything with our minds but we have been so programmed into what we can and cant do and what's (NORMAL) we r sold technology i.e. computers/t.vs/phones/games which is a poor copy of our mind power. Before the divide and conquer regime and got separated by the language barrier (so makes it harder to pass our knowledge on to other souls and over generations alot of knowledge gets lost in translation or stopped been told and whilst were distracted fighting each other over football, politics or wateva box ur "team/people " r in.) We could do all and more than the tech were sold with our minds. The universal language is telepathy were just not learnt to READ it anymore (some people can vaguely do it still but every time someone doubts them or calls them mad they doubt themselves and the belief goes so they lose it. Wen i was gone we could show each other our thoughts like a film, play ur dreams to someone (which is another realm like a game where the laws of the universe don't count, apparently that's y we sleep) we can even do this over long distances. We don't have to physically travel any where u just THINK it into existence. (I We don't even know our minds connect.) I said im not going back and they said as soon as my high went i would go back as everyone on earth is drugged up through our water, food, air to believe in a false reality and the people with a stronger tolerance i.e. can use extra senses like hear voices =(ur built in very smart device has a message) u have a vision or premonition = (u played out something in ur head 1st to see if the outcome is ok) deja-vu = u remember thinking this bit b4 u came to earth to do something and ur trying to remember. U will be medicated and made to believe u have mental illness and belief alone will make u lose ur senses. I could go on. I learned so much. It was so real. I wish I could tap into my mind like that weneva i wanted and i was so adamant i would be able to now because I know about it now but i must hav subconscious (hidden/blocked) thoughts that i was dreaming or im mad plus all the fuel we need 4 our bodies (psysical earth suits) to run i.e. lights, air, food, water. Is contaminated to turn us into numb, dumb, slave robots as earth is the only realm where evil spirits can hide in plain sight as they breathe bad energy and every other place i went to evil had either died out, lived more lifetimes and cancelled out bad karma and any bad energy consumption has been paid back in positive energy or thriving on earth undercover. They trap souls in the reincarnation cycle for more dark fuel. I was told in detail what could happen if i told the wrong people on earth. They told me more people r waking up thanx to believing in yourself more and were not killed like before (accusations of been an evil witch) we got a few senses left smell to breath in air and make us eat with taste, sight so we can see things to make us watch news, films and violence to create negativity, hearing to hear how bad the world is and hw u shouldn't be or should act..... believe and u shall receive

I wonder if this is what Deja Vu is. Like a brief lapse in time to the near future. It's happened to me twice in seemingly ordinary events. When I was about 8 or 9 I had a dream of me being in my classroom when another teacher came in and asked my teacher if she could borrow a chalkboard eraser. The next day the exact same thing happened and the teacher was wearing the exact same clothes as in the dream. Another time was in college where I came late to a party and my friend asked me to grab him a beer from the fridge. I remember going to the fridge and there was only 2 beers left. One corona and one budlight lime. As my friend asked me, I suddenly remembered this happening already so I said "I bet you there are only 2 beers in there, one corona and one budlight lime." Sure enough, it was true. My friend asked me how I knew since I had walked in about 3 minutes ago and had just been standing next to him. Just a really strong, albeit, boring case of deja vu.
Even though it's seemingly insignificant ITS STILL ESP. I've also predicted seemingly unimportant events & experienced this "deja vu" multiple times...
+lightxgrenade It seems as if people occasionally experience psychic phenomena like this. I occasionally have minor, random psychic experiences.
My most unusual one to date was when I was at a local library downtown just reading something on my computer. I had my phone with me in case my friend texted me (on vibrate, of course). Suddenly, I got a sense that a text came through, so I checked my phone. Nothing. The instant I put my phone down, it vibrated, and my friend's text came through. Several times that happened with texts from my friend and mom. Each time it happened, I would get a sense a text came through and would check my phone, only to see none was received. Then the second I put down the phone, that text came through. I was even able to accurately predict who the text was from.
As I said, I've experienced minor psychic phenomena before, but they were always random. I never had any control over any of them. That friend from that experience also claimed she had one prophetic dream a year in which she could see a small future event. Weird, huh? I'm sure people experience things like that all the time but dismiss them because they can't explain it.
Lunavarion That's a great example. I've also had lots of random thoughts about a relative or friend right before they call or txt. I'm also great at guessing time of day/night & also when my timer on my food will be up. I'll walk into the kitchen with only seconds left on the clock.
Everything that exists is made of atoms, these atoms send out pulses which maybe we can pick up on somehow...
dean beckley I think everyone has these abilities. Most people just ignore them, though, and thus marginalise them.
Unfortunately, my body seems to prefer to imitate your ability to sense when the timer is up. I can set an alarm in the morning, and my body will always wake up on its own with either seconds or a full minute before the alarm goes off. Very annoying.

A few weeks ago, I was driving south, just a few minutes from my home, when I got caught at a red light. But when the light turned green and I looked ahead, nothing seemed right. It looked too dark. Where there should have been street lights and store-front lights, none of this was visible. As I pulled through the intersection ,seconds later I found myself 7-8 miles away on a completely different street, now driving east. I had lost 18 minutes, but even weirder, I had lost over a quarter tank of gas. I drive a little sports car, and it would have taken me three days to burn that much gas! Still wondering what actually happened.
Story I heard (like the last one in regards of future events), two reporters from Germany in the 1930's or so where at a harbor somewhere either fishing or just something. They said that at one point, the sky lit up a fiery red or something with airplanes flying over head and explosions all around. The two ran for their lives at before getting to their car it suddenly stopped. The two went back to work the next day to tell their boss of what just happened, only to be accused of being drunk or something like that. Sure enough a few years later World War 2 starts and that same location in question went up in flames just as the two bore witness to the future events. What became of those two after that is unknown.

something strange happend to me once a while ago, about 3 years ago my girfriend at the time and i had moved to a new place. we were livjng there for about a month at this point and we liked to go out for walks very often. we lived at a small block called wilshire square, there was still some streets we had not walked through and on this day we took a differnt route. we would always admire the houses and say to each other which ones we liked and the ones we didnt. There was a beautifule house we came across it look cozy and it had lot of mice trees on their front yard i remember my ex saying how much she liked the house and how that was the house of her dreams, thats how she wanted her future house to look like and we just kept walking. we tried looking for the house again and we never found it. i walked those streets for years over and over again looked at every single house on the streets and i have never seen it again it was so strange
I was talking to my 2 friends on the porch and as I replied to what they where talking about they said "dude we stopped talking about that. That was an hour ago." I immediately got anxiety

When my brother was in high school, he and two friends all had the same class two periods in a row. As my brother and his one friend left the first class, and proceeded to the second, the third guy stayed behind to talk to the teacher. They took the very narrow and direct route to the next classroom, only to find that the third guy had beaten them both to the class and was already sitting down in his seat. The third guy swears that he didn't even see my brother in the hallway and claimed to have taken the same route as the other two when confronted.

Can confirm so many weird things happen in fallbrook. We would have time skips and I would frequently hear my own disembodied voice in my house of things I would say in the future. Lived right next to the naval base. So many ghost experiences since I lived next door to a graveyard. The deep dark that would roll in was scary too. So many stories there , eek creepy place!
people can try to disregard this as if it's nothing. even I can't explain it. but the first time I'd ever eaten mushrooms, my ex and I wanted to smoke a blunt, so I asked him to cut the cigar for me because it was dark and I couldn't see very well. i watched as he cut it halfway and then set it down. he told me to lay down and look at the stars with him. we must've been staring at the sky for an hour when I realized we totally forgot about the blunt. so I picked up the cigar and lo and behold, there was not cut on it at all. no loose ends, nothing. it was like brand new. he and I BOTH freaked out about that. we knew what we saw and what we did, yet, it never happened. I know alot of people will be like "drugs will do that to you." say what you will but it was something I havent forgotten about and it happened 7 years ago. it really freaked me out.
As a child I have many foretelling dreams. In one instance I had a dream (but I knew it wasn't just a dream, I always sensed the difference. And there were always 'others' there showing me things I usually didn't want to see, anyway on with this story) that a man in a bear costume was killing a woman. I had the dream a number of times. I saw bits of the actual attack. One day at breakfast my father was reading the paper, facing me was a news story about a woman who was killed by a bear. I tapped it, told my father, it wasn't a bear but a man who did it and that we had to tell the police. My father just laughed it off. About 3 wks later, again at the b/f table, my father with the paper, the news item facing me was about how the investigation proved that a man had killed the woman + made it look like a bear did it. I taped the paper, got my father attention and said "see I told you that" My father read the item, remembered our previous conversation, was very unnerved about it all. Told me to shut up and stop talking about this, he couldn't handle it.
The other thing to note is that I was 4 yrs old. I couldn't read at the news paper level yet, however I could read at that level on those particular days.
I've had that happen to me. I close my eyes and an entirely different TV show is on. It follows the smoking of some kush. To get back I have to smoke some more.

Time and Space are one or a continuum as Einstein told us and if it is a river or wave it has many whirlpools and back currents so temporal travel in either direction is possible especially when strong emotional or in a high energy area or certain planetary alignments are occurring.....or time space travellers playing a trick on u .......lol
I grew up in mid Michigan.when I was around 10 years old, My brother, cousin and I were swimming in our small pool after dark. All of the sudden, a massive fireball went right over us in the sky. It was glowing red and moving relatively slowly. It was rolling through the air in a forward motion. It was amazing!
Besides that night we didn't talk about it again. I was young, and though it was super cool, my parents said it was probably an asteroid.
Earlier this year I asked my brother if he remembers seeing it, because I thought maybe I had dreamt it. He said he said he remembered! And to be sure I asked him which direction it was moving, he said, North toward Mount Pleasant. He was right!
I wish I could better describe the size of this giant glowing rock and how slowly it moved through the air compared to what you would typically see.

I live in Fallbrook too!!! and I had a time slip of half an hour and it was the strangest thing I've ever felt before I know exactly what they're talking about Mission Road is a very strange place especially at night I lived in this town my whole life and it's not just time slips that happen here there are all sorts of strange things that happened here in this town from UFO sightings ghost hauntings to even the shadow people that people experience here , there are a lot of Indian burial grounds around here so it definitely gets creepy sometimes super late at night ,this town has been here for a very long time we also live next to Camp Pendleton military base were also strange stuff happens

I had a lucid dream in 1974 as a kid, where I was transported to a future earth, but was now an adult, to a very modernistic city, run by AI & guarded by tri-legged massive robots.
I attempted to escape, but was detected, as I ran through a desert terrain in the middle of the night, running toward some low mountain ridges. There was much more detail, and I was on a journey. It was very frightening, and felt so real, I'd swear on a stack of Bibles & take a polygraph test, to verify I am telling the truth.
In the scenario, I possessed the kind of DNA the alien beings were seeking.
Normally, I never remembered my dreams, but when I woke up in the morning, for school, I felt very emotionally upset, & physically drained, as if I'd had run a marathon.
This vision has haunted me, my whole life, and I can recall it, as if it had happened just yesterday.
A few months ago, I came across a video of a tour on the city of Dubai. To my shock, the city looked like the precursor to the city I saw in my dream.
As an American, woefully lacking in geography expertise, I had no idea of what the area near Dubai, was like, or where it was.
I did a Google terrain view, and was amazed by how exactly it matched my dream memory.
It was the perfect city to isolate, surrounded by water, and inhospitable land.
This shook me up, for a few days.
How weird is that...

I hate when people act like others are crazy and just misunderstood what happened to them or they are remembering wrong. I personally haven't had any time slip incidents but I can't claim that every single person who has one are crazy or making it up.

Can someone explain a couple of these that have happened to me. Once I was visiting my daughter in another town and went to leave at 8:45pm. It takes 1/2 to get home from her place. Now I do not speed and always set my cruise control. Left her drive and made a left turn. Next thing I know I am home and it was only between 8:50 and 8:55 pm. That was really weird. Another time I was driving home to work and passed this store and thought I need to stop there the next time I go buy because they had something I wanted to purchase for my son. Next thing I knew I was going past it again. Has these things happened to anyone else?

I've had dreams of the future. It's a very bizarre phenomenon. I don't understand how it's possible to have such a thing occur. It's usually specific points in time or things mundane like me sitting in a particular chair eating a certain food item while watching a certain show and then more brother would say something that sounds like something he had said before. Like deja vu.
I have future dreams as well. But they are very short and there is nothing silly in them and they have a certain feel if that makes sense.
I've seen some crazy stuff in my time, has personally had over 150 different Precognitive Dreams come true since I was a kid. It's a bit scary when you have no idea what's going on, as I've gotten older I've come to embrace such occurrences. I've also had a few experiences with UFO's over the years as has other family, as far as I know none of us had missing time, but anymore I believe we truly are living in a matrix reality, cause there's way to many weird things that have happened that people can't explain.

I have been in situation similar to a glitch in time it went something like this I was on a bus in San Diego CA as I was riding on the back bus I noticed a little girl looking back at me she was seated with it guess her mother as the bus came to their stop the two got off the bus, nothing strange their, as I approached my stop I see the same two people who got off the bus at least a half mile back they were at the last stop which took my ride around 15 minutes how did they get their before I did? scarrrry.

Time slips are something I really don't want to experience. Well... to be honest, I don't want to experience most paranormal or supernatural things. But time slips are scary on an existential level. I think that probably it would mess up my sense of reality more to experience this than ghosts, but also, I'd be scared of never being able to get back home.

I have had this happen to me many times. Several times while I was driving. Just remember getting in the car and all of the sudden I am someplace else without a single memory of the trip or I've headed out on a long drive,like a few hours worth of driving and it seems to take minutes. Many more examples of these and similar things

This happens a lot of time for me. I was going to buy shawarma from a shitty shawarma stall. I was like ten steps from it, there is no line. When I got there, there were suddenly three people in front of me! This happens to me in almost every food stall or fast food.
I would have marched my ass right into that city. No way would I pass up an opportunity like that!

Back before halo reach came out, i was playing halo 3 and i had gotten a sword for my character, and i told my freinds and we played the game and had fun. Then they next day i played with the same friends, and when they saw the sword, they were freaking out. I asked "dont you remember yesterday? I showed you." They were completely void of all recognition of the day before....

I had a similar experience, I was Driving on the freeway in San Diego when everything around me sped up super fast like cars were flying by and the scenery went flying by in like hyperspeed but everything in my car including me slowed down my movement my thoughts I got really scared and I literally slapped myself in the face and everything went back to normal then when I arrived at my destination I was 2 hours and 20 minutes early this happened over 20 years ago and I still think about it
