  • Today we dyno’d Redd’s 1984 Chevy El Camino. It has a 6.2L with our custom cam package, stock LS3 heads, a D1sc ProCharger on low boost with a Holley Hi-Ram Intake. Very conservative tune on pump gas and a 4.25” upper it made pretty good power putting especially considering the 24” Billet Specialties on it. Also has a custom built 4L80e by Carl at High Performance Transmissions, and a Moser M9 rear end. Now since the owner of the car plans on racing it in the future, we had to hide actual numbers once we started to lean on the motor a little bit as well as when we turned the boost up but if Redd changes his mind then we will post the rest of the footage with actual power numbers.
    Thanks for watching and stay tuned for next week’s episode of Street Car HQTV!

    Tell your dyno guy not to use the cars brakes to slow the tires down after a dyno pull

    • @StreetCarHeadquarters
      @StreetCarHeadquarters  Před rokem

      Before we got our own hub dyno, we operated that dyno successfully since 2010 with ZERO incidents but thanks for your concern

    • @a1965hah
      @a1965hah Před rokem

      @@StreetCarHeadquarters cool,I say it because using the brakes to slow the dyno down will put excessive wear and heat to the brakes,kinda like slowing a heavy trailer down using a small car
