That is a beautiful old apparatus. I have all three kits and the Trumpeter too. I need to get started on them. Lol. Being a volunteer firefighter for 45 years these old trucks bring back a lot of great memories good and bad. I love to find one and do a restoration one. BIG BUCKS. Lol!!!
Hi David. Very impressed with, on how the kit has turned, very nice. Just purchased this and I am impressed withe the detail but I wonder if you could answer a question for me? It mentions on the side of the box, "Authentic Siren, bell, horns and flasher lights" This tells me it comes with flashing lights and sound... perhaps I've missed read it? Regards John.

This is nicely done! I could stare in awe for hours. I had two of these kits, as well as two of the ladder truck, and one of the Aero Chief. I would like to build one of each as the centrepiece of a diorama depicting a downtown red brick apartment building (apartment block) with one end ablaze. To show the vehicles in use, the front wheels would be turned to some degree away from the X-axis. Similarly, a few of their access panels would be open, requiring their interiors be stocked with appropriate supplies. Has anyone made a kit of a fire chief car? Similarly, any ambulances? I had the Dodge van ambulance in Cannonball Run (1981, 20th Century Fox, Hal Needham, Snuff Carrett). That may be a decade later, though. I have seen a Cadillac station wagon kit that might have been an ambulance. Toward this, would you know if any aftermarket firm makes an assortment of fire fighter figures in 1:25th scale? Ideally, I would like to see 1) a set of a half-dozen or more, and 2) a similar set where the figures are basic, with the limbs and heads separate; it would include a broad array of hand tools, equipment, etc., germane to the task to hand At 4:00, you mention "jewel lights". Have you considered MV Lenses from model railroading? At 7:10, what is the spinal nozzle called, please?
At 7:10 that is a deck gun.. I went brain dead on that in the video,lol. AMT did release a fire chief car of the Chevrolet Impala. It has been reissued a few times, though not very convincing. AMT also had released a police car of the Ford Galaxie 500 which can be easily turned into a Chiefs car. They also recently released a Chevy van as a rescue/ambulance. Johan had the 66 Cadillac ambulance, I have one on this channel. All of these kit's are on my channel.

The kit manufacturer uses the term " authentic " very loosely, thats why I made my own.

@@johnbarley8275 Most of the chrome on my models is Molotow chrome in the pen form. For small area's I apply it with a brush.

I have searched for those MV lens in the past with no luck. I will need to go back and watch the video to see what I’m referring to at 7:10.
