she reminds me of my friend who is literally a genius and does meth ((has been addicted for 20 yrs??)), and is still so so attractive and I think my mind would be absolutely blown to see him sober.. like there's no way he wouldn't be a highly esteemed person in society..
He needs help and will never get it. Let's praise Mark for giving us these videos and having no intention of helping these people but instead just allows them to dig themselves into a public and see through grave.

I’m always amazed how much knowledge of movies, actors, pop culture references, language, thoughts, music, fashion and just humor is packed in Rebecca’s head. Honestly I don’t know how I’m the world he knows SO MUCH INFORMATION and is only 26??!! And he lives on the sidewalk!!!! How does he know all this??!!! It was good to see him a little more coherent, when Mark said he was “almost hirable”…. Not so sure who would with such all over the place word and thought salads he was saying. Love him though! ❤

I am homeless in San Francisco now for fifteen years. I used to use meth. I have gotten high with dozens of characters like Rebecca- just as amazingly culturally literate, just as deep an intellect, speak 3, 4, 5 languages.... You name it. The people who think that all or even the vast majority of addicts are culturally illiterate boring morons are people who never got high. Notable addicts who are now dead and gone but must have been every bit as entertaining as Rebecca during their day: Ella Fitzgerald, Bessie Smith, Janis Joplin, Judy Garland, Salvador Dali, Paul Erdös, William Burroughs, Bela Lugosi, Jerome "Curly" Howard, Charles Bukowski, Charles Dickens, Charlie Parker & Charlie Chaplin, Ulysses Grant, Howard Hughes, Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, Marilyn Monroe, Vincent Van Gogh, Elizabeth Taylor, Michael Jackson, should I go on?...... I just wokeup from a dream. Rebecca, you were a barista at a coffee shop, you were clean, healthy and sober.
You had a rack of clothing you designed and made for sale as well as some leather bracelets.
It became the most popular coffee shop because everyone wanted to support you and see you do well.
You were happy with who you were and enjoying serving others and having others supporting you and the work you were doing.
It was so beautiful.
I came in there and started looking at the clothes, being blown away by the talent, then realized it was you who made them and seeing you there doing so well, i started crying. You came over and gave me a hug and wept with me and said you never knew life could be this good! 🥹

Of everyone I've see you interview, Mark, Rebecca is on my mind constantly. It's a great dream to see her clean and acting. Too much potential for her own good.
I don't know how this person has collected so many cultural references in their 26 years of life. Just casually moving from one film line to the next, one song lyric to the next. Spitting out lines from "Hey" by The Pixies. Perfect French pronunciation. Knows every actor, every model, every designer. It's just fascinating. How does she absorb all of this while being so fucking high all the time?
I wish for Rebecca to get the support from the people they will accept it from. It's so complicated for this person! They're so intelligent and lively minded!

I've never wanted a random person I've seen on the internet to succeed as much as I do Rebecca, I hope they get clean, in therapy to figure out the underlying problems and become a functional person. A lot of the videos you do with Rebecca can be frustrating and down right annoying but I see a bright future if Rebecca chooses to leave the drugs and street life behind. Thank you Mark, for being a shoulder for them to lean on, even though sometimes I feel like it's enabling, I feel like Rebecca wouldn't be here if it wasn't for you, you're probably the only person to stick by through this messed up journey and that's more than likely why Rebecca is still alive today. I'm hoping for the best!

Throughout history there have been a plethora of examples of the line between genius and madness being as thin as a frog hair. Most societies tortured, imprisoned or killed them. Some rare societies venerated them. We tend to look away and pretend they don’t exist. Rebecca’s ability to survive is amazing!

Her love for drugs is not just from addiction it’s from mental illness is more brutal sober. You can’t save people from mental illness or drugs. @@isitoveryet9525 yeah I honestly don’t agree with it if you want to document something as documentary journalism whether it’s written or a video media piece, you can certainly do that I can appreciate documentary journalism, but there’s essentially no risk or negative exposure or effort, put in by mark, and yet he’s profiting handsomely and quite frankly, I think he’s actually doing more harm than good for most of these people by indulging them, enabling them, giving them attention, making them somebody that other people want to help there are people out there worthy of your help who want the help who would appreciate the help and who would flourish if they were able to receive this kind of support and help stop giving your feelings and your efforts to people who aren’t ready to change or who will never be ready to change and if you want to help someone you don’t need to document it on video it’s a little virtue signal he for me as somebody who does a lot of philanthropic work, I would never think about uploading it, or monetizing it to any platform I don’t want accolades. I don’t want recognition I do the things that I do because I’m passionate about them and if I don’t make an interest or an impact on a huge scale, I don’t really care I’m trying to reach the people that I serve you’re not helping people like this when you put them on front Street perfect example here is Maddie and Jerrell look with that blew up in to look at where they’re at all because of Mark and they’re certainly not the only ones, I don’t know if maybe he started out with good intentions, but at this point in time this isn’t helping these people they are working him over. Mark is not particularly perceptive to the pathological psychology of a lot of these people he’s really not he’s not used to it he’s painting a very rosy picture for them being very unrealistic and lying to these people it’s not going to help them. They need to hear the truth. They already know the truth they don’t need to have their hands held. They don’t need to have their asses padded. Is there grown adults here they have autonomy and rights over their own lives and decisions it’s not for somebody else to make and nobody else can convince them. It’s ridiculous. How many people in the comments are saying oh we’re all rooting for you we want this for you. You can do this think about blah blah, blah and blah, blah blah, and do it for blah blah blah blah, blah blah guess what people those are the most empty meaningless vapid words ever used they’re overused their cliché. The thing is they’re not gonna do it for you. They’re not gonna do it for millions of people rooting for them or whatever you wanna fucking call it they’re not gonna do it for any other reason other than themselves because they want to because they want a different life and until that bridge comes to be crossed nothing is going to change that’s true of anybody. Any time that’s in the situation also, it’s not just drugs with this one and with many others. There’s a much deeper pathology going on here. Some of these people may be very charming and charismatic. That does not mean that they are good people at the same time, it’s not because of the drugs that they are not good people that’s who they are. There’s good people out there on drugs like I said, who may want help who may not know yet that they won’t help some people aren’t if you can’t learn to differentiate between the two and identify them, then you end up giving a platform and attention to the wrong people and most of the good people out there who want health who want assistance who want support they also don’t want to be on social media, having their entire spot blown up and all of their personal shit being known to the public and even if they consent to it, chances are when they become a sober and stable mind. They may down the line regret that and you can take a video down but the Internet doesn’t forget it’s there forever. It’s not something you can get rid of you can’t backspace from that, and that could potentially be harmful or detrimental in their life down the future if they choose to clean everything up and they’re ready to put that life behind them and it’s not a story that they wish to relive or share with millions of people everywhere, then I think it’s kind of irresponsible to have people consenting to such a thing who are really not in any state to consent in the first place, if children can’t consent then typically neither can people who are not of sober and sound mind that’s just from a legal and ethical perspective here I know a lot of people who started off watching this channel and liking who have since come to change their mind about it we’re all kind of starting to get X feelings about it also, there’s been some very strange interactions between Mark and different people. He’s very awkward in his style it’s very forest it’s on natural and there’s been some awkward exchanges between him and females scantily clad females. I think it’s disgusting some of the pictures that he uploads of these people yes it’s real it’s raw, but we don’t need to have them out there, showing their ass sometimes literally not necessarily for our sake but for theirs that’s exploitation of the highest magnitude I don’t care what you say it’s not OK it’s never gonna be OK. Ask anyone who understands legal rights exploitation in such things privacy law, etc. and so forth they would agree that’s super sketch if not outright illegal and unethical and I just don’t find anything entertaining about watching these videos. They still pop up in my feed. I still check in to see what the fuck is going on, but I don’t find anything entertaining or educational about, seeing people expose and exploited putting themselves potentially in harms way in a number of different ways, shapes and forms by doing this. Obviously they’re doing it for a paycheck for some cash in hand so they can go get their next fix which is a power dynamic a pretty quid pro quo that is not appropriate or ethical and some of the people are just all right not good people we don’t need to give them a platform. We don’t need to indulge them, and entertain their delusions and manipulative machinations it’s hindering them it’s crippling them it’s instilling and teaching them to continue to be entirely dependent. It’s not empowering them and making them accountable for their decisions. They will only do as much as they have to if they don’t have to they’re not going to and that’s the sad reality, that’s my opinion I’m certainly not alone if you don’t like it, you don’t need to comment back you can just disagree that’s fine but it is what it is not everybody believe this to be at all

One day you asked Rebecca, "What do you do all day". She replied " I talk to myself, I sing to myself, doesn't everyone?". That stuck with me so much. I live mostly alone with no neighbors in a rural area. Yes, I talk to myself and sing to myself. Mostly I think I'm talking & singing to my critters but really it's to myself. Rebecca is more insightful than people give her credit for. She has a good point about Hilary too.

This is so heartbreaking. I've yet to be able to finish a full interview with this poor soul.
I am a Mom on the other side of the world, but I’ve watched every single one of Rebecca’s video from the very first one and as many people are, I’m so invested in her story. I check everyday for new updates. My favorite videos are where we get to learn more about her backstory. She is obviously incredibly frustrating but the breadth of her cultural knowledge is unlike 9/10 people you’d meet. I am no delusional optimist maybe not even an optimist full stop haha…but I truly want to see her succeed. Little steps at first, I think if she manages to set even tiny goal and manages to achieve it then it would wonders for her motivation.

This is so sad to watch. Rebecca comes across as being such a lovely, greatly intelligent and extremely handsome and it’s so upsetting to see how the drugs have ravaged his life taking every possibility of having such an incredible life and future. If only he could free himself from the drugs. I could imagine Rebecca being involved in the fashion industry or even acting, anything could be possible, but I feel so fearful for his safety, sanity and even his life because of his drug addiction. The way that drugs damage the mind robbing a person of everything as awful and so upsetting. I can see you trying so hard to help Rebecca Mark, I just hope and pray Rebecca will take hold of all the help he can get and for him to turn away from his drug life existence. 😢

Rebecca keeps Mark around for entertainment, money, drugs, clothes, hotels, phones, etc, maybe a little yum yum on the side. I have dread, I have a feeling this Rebecca will be the end of this channel for Mark. Mark sounds giddy in this interview, almost as if they're on their first date. It is beyond foolish at this point, almost parody. I feel embarrassed for Mark. Most people in these threads are hoping for this person to get sober. She/he loves the drug too much, doesn't want to quit. Do you buy Rebecca's stories? I don't. He's a hustler, a liar, a junkie. They will tell you whatever it is you want to hear. I dislike the word hope because there's no action. Hope is a fantastical and fantasy word. Rebecca doesn't want help, he wants Mark to continue to supply him with money and drugs, that's it, that's all, as simple as that. He would have to get sober and clean, and that takes years not just 30 days and even then he wouldn't be able to heal, healing takes a fucking a lifetime, he wouldn't be able to nor want to even skim the surface of his wounds. How does she know so much stuff? She isn’t just talking jibbersh, she’s talking real things, movie quotes, famous people, so many quick things she says that I just listen like “how would she know this?!” She’s like 25? It’s crazy! So intelligent, I wish I could know her true life story and where she learned all of this. She is so smart, creative and unique I wish she could get her addiction under control bc she could go SO far. Such a very special person! I could listen to her talk all day when she is sober-ish, I couldn’t even imagine how great she’d be fully sober!!

As fascinating of a person that Rebecca is, I find Mark's reactions when in Rebecca's presence to be as equally fascinating as he tends to open up in a way that I don't hear or see with other interviews. I find Mark to be very flirtatious and overly complimentary with Rebecca in a way that is somewhat confusing when it's followed up by "but I'm not attracted to men" like he is trying to either deny or suppress his own attraction to this person whether they identify as gay or trans. I could be way off base but that is the impression I am left with.

I'll bet Rebecca has ADHD, among other issues. That may be part of why she says she doesn't do opiods, barbiturates, or other CNS depressants; we don't like those feelings. Aside from mental health issues, it could explain, at least in part, the obsessive topics, rapid speech patterns, impulsiveness, rapid topic changes, and being so fidgety. On the positive side, it could also explain her creativeness, humor, and intelligence. It cracks me up that people don't get that she uses the last name 'Olsen' due to her obsession with Mary Kate and Ashley! That's one of the things we do; generalize obsessions to other areas and play around with it . . . just waiting to see if anyone gets it. Sadly, they rarely do!

It’s more likely bipolar with the manic episodes made worse with drugs and then the extreme lows of depression. But obviously most people with one mental illness tend to have more.

This was awful to watch. If this is clean, she is too far gone and far beyond help… other than being institutionalized or under someone’s guardianship. This is not a show, this is a severely ill human. To say you like this version of her is only perpetuating her demise.

I would challenge any person with even a small suffering of mental illness spend at min a month on the hot streets of LA being homeless with people stealing things off of you when you sleep would make a "normal" person lose it real quick.
