Yep this is pretty much what TV was like back then. Seinfeld was in its first season, it was a struggle to convince my friends to watch a show about nothing. Friends (the show) didn't exist yet. This is a weird interview, it's right in the middle part of their marriage. Both their body language indicates they don't like each other anymore. Kelly's body language and her tone says she's scared of him. Turns out she was.
Yeah, and she was having another baby too. Seagal was a badass action star, but I'm guessing was a nasty and controlling husband too. You just get that creepy control freak "dark past" vibe from him. He pretty much plays himself in all his movies, just with a different spin and different character names!

He's an anomaly (basically weirdo) on many levels. Plus a very large imposing man with a 7th degree Aikido blackbelt. He comes across as creepy and dangerous. Not to mention that "dark past" he always makes known via many of his action characters and even in real life on a talk show! He's got that total psycho internal rage yet ultra calm "do not mess" vibe about him. Anyone who attempts to get close to him must either be psycho too, or very brave and intrigued by the mystery man! Arsenio Hall had a prime Mike Tyson on there previously and was more relaxed than with Seagal. You could tell he was pretty terrified of Seagal, as was Kelly LeBrock.
I think the main thing with Seagal is that he's had extensive training in keeping his back straight and not slouching, no matter what! It's like he's got a longsword strapped to his back! But it's getting more difficult to achieve at his advanced age now, plus the 100 extra pounds.

I didn't get that impression at all. There was quite a bit playful banter between them and while he seemed a little guarded at times he fell right out of that into a more relaxed manner with her several times with ease. Idk it seems like people often find what their looking to find and it seems that cracking on Steven Segal is a popular pastime on CZcams so there's that..,
I sensed no awkwardness. They were trying to maintain a professional setting for the interview. Back then that was highly regarded especially when you were under contract by Warner Brothers as Seagal was at the time.
I was a fan of Seagal in the 90s, and I like Arsenio Hall. But that interview and clash of personalities did not mix well! Talk about awkward and awkward pauses! Was cringing through the whole thing.. lol
Frank Dux has absolutely no credibility; he never made it to Southeast Asia while in the military, the closest he came to being injured in the line of duty was falling off a truck he was painting at the time, and The Ministry of Sports in the Bahamas where the tournament immortalised in "Bloodsport" allegedly took place, has no record of any such competitions. And at least one of his many martial art trophies was purchased by him at a trophy shop in California. The store's owner has the receipt to prove this; Dux claims it's a forgery. Dux named his own martial art a style of Ninjutsu, presumably to add an aura of mystery to it via a connection with the Ninjutsu theme but he was never taught by any authentic Ninjutsu practitioner. By way of contrast, Sensei Stephen K. Hayes is an American who is the first non-Japanese student to study Togakure Ryu Ninjutsu in Japan with Shihan (Master) Masaka Hatsumi. Hayes teaches Ninjutsu and is legitimate but Frank Dux has no verifiable training in Ninjutsu nor any recognised teacher; his claims have to be taken with the proverbial 'grain of salt,' and hence any alleged connection between Dux and Seagal is unlikely - unless it involved meeting up to plan more mendacious statements and grandiose claims about their abilities, power(s), et.al. Seagal likes to play action heroes who were ex-CIA/Special [often black] Ops in his films, certainly those from "Hard To Kill" through to the last few that didn't go direct-to-video/DVD, but there is no truth to his ever actually working for the CIA and, as stated, Frank Dux is not a trustworthy nor honest man by any stretch of the imagination, so nothing he says about himself or Seagal is reliable. Seagal himself has made false claims throughout the years from taking far too much credit for skills of various UFC fighters such as claiming that he taught Anderson Silva the kick that knocked out Victor Belfort. Seagal himself believes that he really is teaching those UFC whippersnippers something new, or he believes that we all believe him. And both of these options are uncomfortably sad at this point. Seagal has only a ceremonial certificate in regards to the Sheriff's office but has falsely claimed a much more formal role with these law enforcement officers. He has claimed to have trained in Aikido under O'Sensei himself but O'Sensei passed in 1969 and Seagal didn't arrive in Japan until at least 1971; one Caucasian who did study under O'Sensei knew Seagal wasn't there to do so. Then there are Seagal denying that Judo Gene Lebell ever choked him out, despite all evidence to the contrary, Seagal's nasty habit of claiming no other martial artist can match him - not only untrue but too arrogant to be either a genuine martial artist let alone a reincarnation of an enlightened Tibetan Buddhist lama/priest as has been claimed (after he gave a lot of money to the Temple connected to the Buddhist who then made that assertion). Finally, there is a great deal of evidence Seagal has sexually assaulted, harassed, and participated directly in the sexual trafficking of women. All this should be enough to recognise the man is disreputable, arrogant, misogynistic and mendacious (i.e. deliberately and pathologically deceitful), and is most definitely not ethical let alone an enlightened reincarnation of a high ranking Tibetan Buddhist; genuine humbleness and honest speech would be two of the many hallmarks of such a man, and sadly Seagal has none of these just as he has none of the fitness that characterised his earlier movies and which marks a top martial artist; to indulge physical appetites the way he has, resulting in obesity, makes him an embarassment to dedicated Aikidoists.
@@nicedoppy2077 Rather than posting a lengthy comment listing everything involved with Seagal here it's easier if you do a search by typing in the following "steven seagal sexual abuse and trafficking". You can see under both All and News various articles indicating a slew of allegations where he apparently assaulted and r_ped women in the process of having them 'audition' for him for various movies. He has been accused of having actual sex slaves in his house, usually women from Russia. He moved to Russia around 2014 and in 2015 as granted 'honorary' citizenship of Russia then permanent citizenship not long after that and living in Russia he has been able to avoid facing the numerous lawsuits against him for assaults upon many women.

Action movies are not about plot b/c it's the same formula. Hand-to-combat fight choreography and explicitly erotic encounters are what draws the audience to view the film.
ErikPaulsonFan: That´s nonsense. Kelly LeBrock said in an interview that she was abused all her life but she also said that had nothing to do with Seagal or do you have any proof that she claimed that in public?
Milos Maric I know......-that kid is strange because in every post he says some negative things about Seagal. On the other side, he watches every Seagal video and commented it. If I hate a person, I wouldn´t watch anything about him. Strange guy that Mr Paulson...
ErikPaulsonFan: I know you´re the biggest Seagal hater but I admire you for permanently visiting his videos:-) I read it once after LeBrock announced her upcoming memoirs. In a recent interview she said it´ll be out very soon. I know that Seagal is quite a character but be honest to yourself, you believe Gene LeBell choked him out though there are proofs that he didn´t do that at all(Diana Inosanto interview here on CZcams, Conrad Palmisano interview who was the stunt coordinator on "Out for Justice").
ErikPaulsonFan: Watch Diana´s interview again. She said she spoke with some stuntmen who did stuntwork on the movie and she came to the conclusion that the whole story was exaggerated. LeBell is now 81 years old(I guess), if it really happened why not finally admit it? I give you the answer: Because it didn´t happen.
Kelly seemed like the perfect wife! Beautiful, submissive, feminine and supportive! Also she actually prefers staying at home, than going out to the club. That’s rare for a woman from the West. Seagal had the perfect wife but he didn’t see it. Can’t believe Seagal would cheat on Kelly and knock up a less attractive girl. Who was the nanny of their children. You don´t know much about Seagal, right? That was in 1990 when both promoted "Hard to Kill". They divorced in 1994. Their marriage was alright in 1990. Seagal never abused her.
She kinda lowers her voice, and turns a lot to see her husband approval. Disgusting.
I was a fan of Seagal in the 90s, and I like Arsenio Hall. But that interview and clash of personalities did not mix well! Talk about awkward and awkward pauses! Was cringing through the whole thing.. lol
Young Seagal !
When his show came out again
Kelly was my teenage fantasy. Steven got a good thing with her.
watching the commercials & I saw one for a furniture company called Seamans & I know the owner then came to Florida & started Rooms to Go
Frank Dux confirmed Seagal´s involvement with the CIA in an interview. Watch The Voice vs Frank Dux. There he talked about Seagal.
they both are frauds
@@Adara007 why u said he´s involves in sexual trafficking of women....he´s connected with asia mafia or something?
@@Adara007 hey first of all, thanks for quick trigger on answer this....I know u post this years ago....
U´ll see i never imagine that kind of living style scenario to the people in show business, is far that i can imagine this u said actually happens even today....
I didnt know he got russian citizenship and lives there (to me it looks like a political treason to USA and to the people in the Hemisphere, many countries in latinamerica and the caribbean has been unfairly affected by the subversive and abusive actions of Russian politicians and their business gangsters)
well i only remember years ago some kind of tv reality with him doing a police service to the comunity with sheriff department (i dont know if that was set in louisiana) and well u know i got for that a good image of that guy but now reading your interesting comment that looks incredible that hit me in a hard bad way....
Im gonna search about with some care criteria (despite fake news and scandal showbizz)
Once again thanks for your answer, all the best Sir!!
Kelly has such a great personality and is really funny but Steven is such a stiff with no sense of humor crazy I guess opposites do attract
Incredibly awkward interview.
Agreed
I love to see those commercials. Internal affairs was playing on that same time lol
Dam he Never even sat close to kelly & Neither seemed Comfortable together ,she Joked about him not clapping for her but he should have acknowledged her anyway,Also seagal Walked out his Japanese Wife, split from Kelly how many more is it in 2014?
thats so cool ^-^
What is he doing giving away the whole plot of movie in interview
Action movies are not about plot b/c it's the same formula. Hand-to-combat fight choreography and explicitly erotic encounters are what draws the audience to view the film.
ErikPaulsonFan: That´s nonsense. Kelly LeBrock said in an interview that she was abused all her life but she also said that had nothing to do with Seagal or do you have any proof that she claimed that in public?
Milos Maric
I know......-that kid is strange because in every post he says some negative things about Seagal. On the other side, he watches every Seagal video and commented it. If I hate a person, I wouldn´t watch anything about him.
Strange guy that Mr Paulson...
she had his kids you fool and he is an egotistical prick now hes a fat slob I could punch him out hes also very controlling
you can punch Seagal out?
Yeah.....-of course, dreamer....
I give you the answer: Because it didn´t happen.
glimer by steven seagul
The tv spot for Internal Affairs, most people don't know how great of a movie that is... It's Training Day (A better film actually)
I like "Internal Affairs". I have the movie on blu-ray. Terrific performance by Richard Gere.
Nelson Mandela "died" in 2013 though. The mandela effect
Careless and stupid, Seagal is for doing that to Kelly.
The nanny´s name was Arissa Wolf. She is from Austria and has also a child (Savannah) with Seagal.
@@Katzenhase I’m sorry but Kelly Le Brock makes her look average at best in comparison Kelly Le Brock is an All Time Great Sex Symbol. @@ChattinBoxingWYB Kelly LeBrock was very unattractive. She´s now as fat as her former husband. Time is not good for many human beings. Some people still look good (e.g. Tom Cruise, Brad Pitt).
@@Katzenhase 😳? Kelly LeBrock was very unattractive in her prime? What are you smoking? She was one of the beautiful women on the plant at the time. I’m not talking about the way Kelly looks now! As most women don’t age as well as men. I’m talking Kelly in her prime.
@@Katzenhase Kelly was not unattractive let's get that straight. I appreciate you uploading these incredible clips of Grand Master Seagal but why insult him and his ex wife?
Bust a move !
BEST
Man, I'm losing respect for Kelly here. I've always disliked him but, now he's making hate the woman I've always believed was the most beautiful woman in showbusiness.
wow he is tall
He is 6' 5"
hakeem olajuwan LA Gear shoes!
Was this Seagal’s first appearance?
Yes!
Their marriage was in trouble at that time, they had a lot of misery--he abused her somehow--she doesn't talk about it but she says she's scared of him now and as long as he lives. He is a domineering coward.
You don´t know much about Seagal, right? That was in 1990 when both promoted "Hard to Kill". They divorced in 1994. Their marriage was alright in 1990. Seagal never abused her. He cheated on her with their nanny Arissa Wolf. LeBrock said in an interview "I was abused all my life but it hasn´t anything to do with Steven". So do your research before talking crap.
You are right Ole Steven will always be a POS.
@@Katzenhase Steven Seagal is a douchebag who treated his stuntmen like crap. Now, what are you going to do about it. Were you there to make such claims that everything was "alright" between them?
I not sure when the on interview is with Steve and Kelly but a freudian slip came out from Steve about how shy he was in romantic adult scene he was and Kelly pretty much called B.S. on that to his face.
That's "Steven" to you.
