Pinan ピンアン・平安 - Introducido en 1904. Creador: Itosu Ankō. Itosu Ankō creó el Pinan kata para enseñar a elemental y jr. estudiantes de secundaria dentro del sistema escolar de Okinawa a principios del siglo XX. Estos katas básicos estaban destinados a mejorar la coordinación de los estudiantes, desarrollar la fuerza y enseñarles los movimientos introductorios del Karate. Pinan es la pronunciación okinawense del chino, Pнng’ān o At Peace. Esto generalmente se dice en un contexto de “estar seguro”, por ejemplo, algo que se le diría a un miembro de la familia antes de un viaje. Según Mabuni Kenwa, el nombre original de Itosu para el kata Pinan era Channan. Heian es la pronunciación japonesa de Pinan. Estos katas se practican en la mayoría de los estilos Shōrin-ryū y Shitō-ryū. Amigo. Pinan shodan y pinan nidan son intercambiable. Depende del Dojo. Puedes llamarlo nidan o shodan. Tiene su significado el porqué en algunos Dojo esto es nidan o shodan.

This can be shodan or nidan it depends the dojo. Both are correct. It has something to do with the heian from shotokan and the errors during the 1960s. Google and you will find out why this is correct too. In competition they also accept if you call this nidan or shodan.for me for example, coming from shito ryu, this would be pinan nidan.

much superior kata than wado ryu in the UK by far , all senseis in england are teaching wrong techniques and dangerous .. since the japanese came here to teach ,wado was the best under sensei suzuki and sensei toru takamizawa . now uk has sensei vickerman and his mediocre teaching wado to the gulible student and earning cash out of it .
