The Clone Master (1978) + trailer for Planes, Trains and Automobiles

Digitised from my own UK CIC Rental VHS, including lead-in and trailers, this is the full unsold pilot movie for a proposed TV series that never came to pass. It's a real shame as the story has lots of potential. A great lead character, and performances from Art Hindle, plus a properly nasty villain who is set up to continue in future episodes. This could have turned into something special. Instead we just have this to enjoy!

From the UK VHS Synopsis - "Biochemist Dr Simon Shane (Art Hindle), working with his mentor Dr Ezra Louthin (Ralph Bellamy), has made considerable progress in the development of a clone. Louthin is kidnapped and not long after, their government contact meets with a mysterious accident.
Becoming suspicious of the new government replacement, Shane goes to Washington to learn that no one has heard of the supposed contact, or Dr Shane or the disappearance of Dr Louthin.
Shane formulates a drastic plan and with the help of doctoral candidate Gussie Wujek, they carry out the birth of the clones. Dr Shane and his 13 replicas and Gussie, embark on an ambitious plan to thwart a top secret government project."
