- Ayy man listen today I respond to the UFC 302 Makhachev vs Poirier post-fight press conference where Dana White saying Jon Jones is the pound for pound number one fighter in the world ahead of Islam Makhachev and I give my reaction by ranting about how delusional that is, why Islam's current winstreak is better than what Jones is doing, skill for skill he's better and the current fights Jones is taking don't make him better pound for pound. Islam defeated two of the old guard lightweights (Dustin and Charles) and beat the featherweight goat twice to get the belt and defend it three times. He’s now on a 14 fight win streak showing the work he’s been putting in. He’s PFP #1 by far as jones has recently only lost to Reyes and submitted a heavyweight with no takedown defense that got taken down by Francis. Islam is also on his way to being the potential goat if he beats Arman, gains the welterweight belt, and defends his belt at 170 at least 3-5+ times (all of which I think he’ll do over the next 2-4 years).
