Well, *Snow White* was originally in *german* in which it indeed is _"Spieglein, Spieglein an der Wand."_ - so it is only correct to translate it with _"mirror mirror [...]"_ - only Disney (or whoever they relate to in this video) did it wrong.
when i was little i obviously knew that it was Disney but i always saw a G, and when i pointed that out to my sister she told me i was crazy and that was impossible and im like WHAAAA HOW
Maybe everybody remembers "Mirror mirror on the wall..." because that's what it says in the original. Because you all know that Snow White wasn't made up by Disney but is a nineteenth-century German fairy tale, right? And Movies and TV shows and so on actually quote it correctly and NOT from the Disney movie. And that's why you remember it that way. And maybe as a kid got told the story of Snow White from a fairy tales book or whatever that wasn't by Disney but had story's from the Grimm Brüder in them..
KjanaBanana420 I remember 2 years ago I was watching this with my baby cousin and she said "mirror mirror on The wall Who's the fairest of them all" no joke and also I never read any other story on Snow White
Then there are folks like me, whose fathers collected Disney Animated Features, who grew up watching and only knowing of the Disney film version, over and over, on VHS. I never read, watched, nor knew of any other version of Snow White. At one point in my life, the quote most certainly was, *"mirror, mirror."* The phenomena is very real, I assure you.
The Star Wars quote has the added "Luke" because it makes more sense out of context (i.e. it alerts the listener to what is being referenced), but in the scene of the movie it doesn't exist (because Vader and Luke were already having a conversation and it would have been weird).
It's just human ego. When you're little, it's easy to overlook small things like that. But it sticks with you until adulthood. Therefore in your mind, you think you're absolutely right. When you realize you've been wrong the whole time, you go into denial & hence the reactions. No parallel universes involved.
Felipe Reyes you don't have to be little to experience it. I mean like sex in the city is something for adults and now some older adults still think it's in or and idk
Felipe Reyes I was thinking the same thing. A lot of them justified their erroneous beliefs by saying that the incorrect way "sounds better". "'Looney Toons' just looks better" "'Mirror Mirror' has a better flow to it". Of course it does! You thought it was correct for all this time. It is a type of cognitive bias that finds more comfort of previously believed "facts", whether correct or not. We find comfort in knowledge, and contradicting what we trust as the truth results in an odd combination of embarrassment and existential skepticism.
Felipe Reyes No. I'm debunking this by saying one thing that I think most people will agree on. Star Wars Nerds would not have gotten a quote wrong for over 30 years. If nothing has changed for you you're just from this timeline. I believe in the mandela effect and I still have a hard time believing people when they've experienced a change I haven't. Like curious george with a tail, I thought he had a tail until like 7 years ago when I rewatched it. So my strongest memory is him without a tail but I believe people who remember him having one. Also monkeys have tails so it's just weird that he doesn't. I don't think this comment will in anyway change your mind but you should definitely look more into it with an open mind you might be surprised what you discover

SpiderMax Tut sie. Offensichtlich tut sie das im Märchen, aber ich glaube für die Disney-Version hat man es bei uns auch zurück geändert, weil "Magisches Spieglein" einfach scheiße klingt.
the Loony Tunes one makes sense because it also showcased the amazing musical talent WB had working with them. Every action is sound tracked. They even had jazz greats play and animated into the show.
I believe that the double o'd version comes from the old Looney tunes website. If you go to the way back machine, the address is in their archives (though most of the links redirect to the current version, with the Tunes spelling). I also vividly remember the 2 I'd because I would always go to the website back in the early 2000's when I was a kid.

+B Weers Also in the UK "Tunes" is pronounced very differently than "Toons" so we Brits probably never made the mistake. (It's pronounced Tyoons for the curious)
*To clear things up* Growing up reading curious george books since I was 1 year old I remember him having a tail, So clearly in fact I could draw a picture right now! he even looks a bit deformed looking at the books now as if it was meant to have the tail... although he never had a tail in the cartoons or newer cartoon books and I think the people in the video were getting confused. *Crazy af Mandela effect!*
He's a monkey, so it would make sense for him to have a tail. I even remember a book where he's jumping from tree to tree, chasing a balloon or something, and at one point he swings from his tail. But I guess I made that all up.
Okay, let me explain this for the millionth time. Disney did NOT create the original version of Snow White. The story of Snow White was passed down for generations, written and adapted many times before the Disney did A version of the story. The quote "Mirror mirror on the wall" is found in many of the book versions predating the Disney animated version. People who say "mirror mirror" are NOT misquoting Disney. They are CORRECTLY quoting books.
Actually Merrie Melodies was just a cheaper 'unit'. They had group of animators for the more expensive Looney Tunes, and the other group or 'unit' for the cheaper Merrie melodies, I saw it on a Chuck Jones Documentary. Disney also had 'Silly Symphonies'. Back then cartoons had more emphasis on the music and less on the dialogue! !!
Do you know why they're called "Looney Tunes", Merrie Melodies" and "Silly Symphonies"? It's because they were originally made around the songs that appear in them, as a way to get songwriters' music out there so they can sell their music (this was before everyone had record players etc, so the medium was mostly sheet music).
Mirror, mirror on the wall doesn't come from the Disney movie, but is a translation from the German original text "Spieglein, Spieglein an der Wand.". Disney just changed it, so the confusion isn't far-fetched.
No it's been made to be a psyop on the American people which is why it is only with American products and movies this exists. The Mandella effect is not alternate realities, it was created in 2000s around 2010 to create Disinformation in the future. This Prank is only on America hence only in American products and made stuff. It was to much work to get all the other countries to change names on their products and movies as well.
_Person_ : "Today, you will be reacting to the Mandela Effect" _Dude in chair_ : "I'm good with these *memes* usually but idk what this is" wOt YoU sAyIn m8
Also "Mirror, Mirror on the wall" is correct. As the original Brother Grimm (in English) is "Mirror, mirror, on the wall, who in this land is fairest of all?"
Things I was already aware of -curious George has no tail -double stuf oreo has 1 f -the tip of Pikachu's tail isn't black -sketchers having no T -smokey is called smokey bear -febreze doesn't have two E's -looney tunes is not spelled with toons
‘Mirror, mirror on the wall’ was the original phrase, but Disney changed it to ‘Magic mirror on the wall’, so that one isn’t really considered a Mandela effect.
Don't really recall it being called Looney Tunes, but i think that is due to one of my first exposures to the series was on the nes game tiny toon adventure (well, it's a spin-off), i guess i just assumed since it was tiny toons, the parent series would be named looney toons
In the animated film (alice in the wonder) the Cheshire Cat Never said (We're all mad here) He actually says (Most everyone's mad here) this made me cry because that was my favorite line from the film
"You can't be wrong and then have a bunch of people wrong with you and think you're right because you're all wrong together." that sums up the mandella effect
Yeah, I was all, "BOOK CANON IS MIRROR MIRROR!" which is of course ridiculous because there's no "canon" for Snow White, that's the whole point with folk tales.
Or people just thought "Mirror mirror" sounded better and their minds autocorrected it like every other mandela effect. I doubt the German version somehow got carried over and became mainstream in the us.
I feel like anything that has to do with spelling with the mandel affect isn't really apart of the affect, because it's just how brain comprehend and read things that will get you confused or mixed up. But this is just my opinion other people may feel differently about it.
i was telling myself that too...but the mona lisa, the thinker, the american gothic and christ the redeemer in rio are all different...the thinker is vastly different in many ways...it was just too much to deny it anymore.
7:40 "mirror mirror on the wall" is correct because that's how it was in the fairy tale that was written. Disney got it wrong. All other movies are right.

Actually same I got that one question wrong on a spelling test in first grade and my teacher called me dumb because I was the only one who got it wrong but really I guess I spelled it right I dunno
"mirror mirror on the wall" /is/ right! the Grimm's brothers wrote it "Mirror, mirror on the wall, who's the fairest of them all?" it's what it says in the actual fairytale. Disney changed it to "magic mirror on the wall", which is a loose adaptation, but that doesn't mean that that's the right way to say it.
True, but if you look up the oldest version of Snow White's fairytale, it will still say mirror mirror. Even in German (which is the original language for that fairytale) Disney changed the line.
that doesn't make it the truth though. Elsa may be this really cool chick, but that doesn't make the actual Snow Queen less of a meanie. I work in child education and original fairytales hold such an important place for children nowadays. They'll actually know Grimm's Snow White more than Disney's because of how old it is.
the reason a lot of us say mirror mirror instead of magic mirror is because in the original brother's grimm book that the movie is based off it is in fact "mirror mirror on the wall" It is the movie that got it wrong.
DigiiFox I understand, but, for instance, I haven't "forgotten" that double stuffed Oreos are spelled "stuf", I have no memory of it being written "stuff", I just haven't really took the time to look at it and think it is spelled "stuff" because it simply makes more sense, not because I remember it being written that way
Double stuff Oreo in the uk is spelt correctly as Stuff so this is not a Mandela effect worldwide, maybe in the USA, Stuff is mis-spelt to Stuf. Though now they are just know as Double Oreo here.
My mom says I never went to preschool, when I remember going to preschool. Even that time I accidentally went into an elderly bus instead of my own! I even remember my mom saying "you went to preschool for one year. A pretty smart kid, you were." But now, I'm confused. "You never went to preschool." she said a couple months back. **mind blown**
Stacy Jones I don't think I went to preschool...I don't remember going tbh I don't remember being a kid I just remember being 6 waking up and having lice XD and my grandma made me stand in the bathroom for 2 hours brushing my hair looking for lice XD
@@user-hd2rr4io1q It was more or less a question in jest. But now that you mention it, many scientists/physicists belief in the multiverse theory. Some months ago they actually might have found the first evidence for the multiverse. But who knows, we might not know for sure for a long, long time, if we ever will.
For Star wars I think someone on the Internet just said "Luke, I am your father." And so many people went along with it for years and it became such a iconic line that no one even noticed it until it got pointed out
In the Drake and Josh theme song, the line "it's gonna take some time to realize" is actually "it's gonna take some time to REALIGN". Drake Bell confirmed it on Twitter. STAY WOKE CZcams
The thing with "mirror, mirror on the wall" might come from the original german tale, because in the german book she says: "spieglein, spieglein an der wand" which translates to "mirror, mirror on the wall". So while in the movie they didn't use it that's where that might come from...

‘Mirror, mirror on the wall’ was the original phrase, but Disney changed it to ‘Magic mirror on the wall’, so that one isn’t really considered a Mandela effect.
Actually, Loony Toons changed into Loony Tunes for some reason. The original was Loony Toons
There is a 2nd Cartoon called Tiny Toons, maybe you took the Toons out of that and replaced it with Looney Toons
Abby Valentine in Universal Studios Orlando it's called Toon Town
their ending circle thing kind of looks like a vinyl record so that might be why?
Nope. It was always Looney Tunes since it’s creation in the 1930’s. You must be thinking of Tiny Toon Adventures.
J- nito The Cheshire Cat says 'we're all mad here' in the book, not the movie.
JasperR42 I could have sworn he said it in the movie
Yeah reality can just change in the wonderland, which is where we live for now.
I definitely remember the latter. Watched it time and time again as a kid.
Actually I always said "No Luke, I am your father."
Kemo III SAME
It’s weird but I kinda agree
Kemo III same here
Dionte and the zelda shirt... you have earned my eternal respect
"You can't be wrong and then have a bunch of people wrong with you and think you're right because you're all wrong together." that sums up the mandella effect
So if I type Tommy boy luke scene he will be saying no im your father?
I just checked it.
The mirror thing is pretty easily explainable: In the German original she says: "Mirror, mirror on the wall..."
The german version is the original.
GabePlaysGames hes talking about the fairy tale, and not the movies.
I always thought it was the other way round wait a sec
I feel like anything that has to do with spelling with the mandel affect isn't really apart of the affect, because it's just how brain comprehend and read things that will get you confused or mixed up. But this is just my opinion other people may feel differently about it.
i was telling myself that too...but the mona lisa, the thinker, the american gothic and christ the redeemer in rio are all different...the thinker is vastly different in many ways...it was just too much to deny it anymore.
Did anyone ever realize they never said Humpty-Dumpty was an egg
7:40 "mirror mirror on the wall" is correct because that's how it was in the fairy tale that was written. Disney got it wrong. All other movies are right.
In german its "Spieglein, Spieglein ... " wich means "mirror, mirror ... " i didnt even know that its not "mirror, mirror .. " in english :D
In Danish "magiske spejl på vægen der" witch means magic mirror on the wall
Yea in Descendants, Evie, the evil queens daughter, says mirror mirror on the wall every time she has a mirror

"Febreze" is the SOLE reason why I lost my 4th grade spelling bee! I thought breeze was spelt breze!!! SPELLING COUNTS!
Actually same I got that one question wrong on a spelling test in first grade and my teacher called me dumb because I was the only one who got it wrong but really I guess I spelled it right I dunno
Eat Rice is that even a real word?
"mirror mirror on the wall" /is/ right! the Grimm's brothers wrote it "Mirror, mirror on the wall, who's the fairest of them all?" it's what it says in the actual fairytale. Disney changed it to "magic mirror on the wall", which is a loose adaptation, but that doesn't mean that that's the right way to say it.
Ellowyn But the brother grimms did not write these stories, They were collecters
True, but if you look up the oldest version of Snow White's fairytale, it will still say mirror mirror. Even in German (which is the original language for that fairytale) Disney changed the line.
Ellowyn But lets be honest, Disney's word is pretty much final for kids now a days
that doesn't make it the truth though. Elsa may be this really cool chick, but that doesn't make the actual Snow Queen less of a meanie. I work in child education and original fairytales hold such an important place for children nowadays. They'll actually know Grimm's Snow White more than Disney's because of how old it is.
Yeah in german is ,,Spieglein Spieglein an der Wand..."
The Darth Vader one is easy to explain. People say Luke to make sure the person knows he's talking Star Wars.
I'm from a Universe where it's called Luney Toons.
California?
4:13 Stop saying grammar...it's spelling! 2nd time....
I know right!
sapphirexwind spelling is part of grammar.......
Only if they had used the wrong word in a sentence which made them mess up their grammar. Source: I'm an ESL teacher.
the reason a lot of us say mirror mirror instead of magic mirror is because in the original brother's grimm book that the movie is based off it is in fact "mirror mirror on the wall" It is the movie that got it wrong.
Mandela effect with the last line of we are the champions
dude. you just messed me up more than this video did
ROOFLS dick

Calvin CXV really how
2:03 Grammar?
I know, that bothered me that he said it was grammar too, lol
Atomic Anal Rape he was so wrong xD
So, technically while it's a spelling mistake, it's also considered a "Grammar violation", but it's not a grammatical error.
Spelling is a part of grammar.
Same
So people are freaking out about double "stuf" with one F, whereas I'm here thinking it was always "Double STUFFED" oreo, with a D
Laura One same. 😂😂

Finn McCune it is I'm a teacher in united kindom
Finn McCune THANK YOU
EXACTLYYY!!! grammar is a completely different thing and it makes me mad when people use the word “grammar” when they’re referring to spelling-
some of them are not really Mandela effect, they are just things you hadn't noticed before
hcroussette Depends if you buy the product and read the title
hcroussette You're missing the point, when a large group all forget the same part it's called the Mandela effect
DigiiFox I understand, but, for instance, I haven't "forgotten" that double stuffed Oreos are spelled "stuf", I have no memory of it being written "stuff", I just haven't really took the time to look at it and think it is spelled "stuff" because it simply makes more sense, not because I remember it being written that way
0:53 the way that's literally not true he says "No, Luke, I am your father." 😭
Double stuff Oreo in the uk is spelt correctly as Stuff so this is not a Mandela effect worldwide, maybe in the USA, Stuff is mis-spelt to Stuf. Though now they are just know as Double Oreo here.
the oreo makers said "i dont give two f's about spelling"
Jiren the Grey brilliant
yeah, the other F is in "f*ck You" and kids know it :)
he thought that the mandela effect was a meme. XD
Curry Is Good For You oml I cringed, but I still love him😂💗
but everything is a meme
Robert Ross this is a meme
"STOOF?" XD
HOW COULD YOU NOT HAVE COVERED THE BERENSTEIN/BERENSTAIN BEARS ONE?!?
the one that arguably gives people the most conniption
1:45 "No, man... That can't be real. NO! How? *Stuf*?"
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
My mom says I never went to preschool, when I remember going to preschool. Even that time I accidentally went into an elderly bus instead of my own! I even remember my mom saying "you went to preschool for one year. A pretty smart kid, you were." But now, I'm confused. "You never went to preschool." she said a couple months back. **mind blown**
Stacy Jones it's a glitch in the matrix
Stacy Jones I don't think I went to preschool...I don't remember going tbh I don't remember being a kid I just remember being 6 waking up and having lice XD and my grandma made me stand in the bathroom for 2 hours brushing my hair looking for lice XD
Narwhalghost :3 lol
"A pretty smart kid, you were." Was your mother Yoda?
Dark Magic Gaming Who?
I thought the mandela effect was something super like, serious.
I always heard "No, Luke, I am your father"
Me to after watching it two times and I here it i thought I watch the wrong one
Damn. From which dimension do you come?!? :o
Am I the only one who remembers Darth Vader being Luke's brother and Obi Won being their father?
@@Acujeremy yep. You're the only one.
@@user-hd2rr4io1q It was more or less a question in jest.
But now that you mention it, many scientists/physicists belief in the multiverse theory. Some months ago they actually might have found the first evidence for the multiverse. But who knows, we might not know for sure for a long, long time, if we ever will.
mandela effect = people not paying attention and calling it a phenomenon
So the existence of israel is a mandela effect?
True
Oreos just don't give a f
Pudding Man000 lmao
when you think your funny cus u stole someone elses comment
Pikachu had a black bit at the end of his tail I swear, I even remember drawing him and reminding myself about his tail.
No way
Yes way my dude, yes way
Now this. This one fucks me up.
The original german tale Schneewittchen has "Spieglein, Spieglein an der Wand" which translates into "mirror, mirror...". USA just f***ed this up
timejumper97 yeah, same, when i watched it in Hungarian it said mirror mirror
"everytime i wrote looney tunes on paper, I spelled it like cartoon."
I have never written Lonney Tunes down on paper.
same
Wait i thought it was stuffED with an ED at the end not stuff or stuf wtf
The thing with "mirror, mirror on the wall" might come from the original german tale, because in the german book she says: "spieglein, spieglein an der wand" which translates to "mirror, mirror on the wall". So while in the movie they didn't use it that's where that might come from...
I think the Mandela effect it's caused when your brain sees something not understandable so it changes it in a way it will look more reasonable.
Randomizer ScrewLastNames
Look at Volkswagon logo and Ford logos. Those changed and everyone knows
But...Lord Farquad also says "Magic Mirror"...
5:09 serious pokemon fans like me knew that ._.
video gamer somthing ya i knew that
Omg stop referring to spelling errors as grammar errors.
