as a subject of a documentary by ian i want to say it definitely feels like his energy drastically changed the past few years. im gona be honest it kind of feels like he is at a point were he is second guessing his every choice. for example last year he uploaded creator clash, and that was amazing, people could catch the fights if they couldnt afford to watch live, and it was easy and free views to his stuff, but this year he isnt going to. atleast from what i understand. and thats super strange, especially since he probably would want that traffic during times of not making as much content. when he did my documentary it felt like he was going to do more, and really start putting out tons of content regardless of style, and it hurts seeing what seems like him loosing his motivation to make content. hell even i go through it some times. but iv been doing everything i can push past those moments, and im failing. i hate to see him going through it. ian if you see this, still got nothing but love for you, and i hope we can see a return to you producing consistent content again.

Watching both Idubbz and H3 distance themselves from their old content, and their longtime fans begin to turn on them as a result has really highlighted to me me how smart Joji’s exit was. People always talk about how he got out at just the right time, but I think he also understood that his existing fan base probably wasn’t going to be super interested in his career pivot, so he retired the FilthyFrank brand/persona entirely, and as a result people understood not to expect more of that type of content from him going forward. I think Ian and Ethan have tried/are trying to do something similar, but they want to have their cake and eat it too.
Changing your content is fine, as long as you have something good to replace it with. iDubbbz did not.
Not sure about H3H3, I never watched him.
It’s also the fact that H3 and Idubbbz threw their old fan base under the bus and shamed them for liking their older edgier content even tho they’re the reason they have their fame in the first place. Like a bunch of grifters. Meanwhile Joji doesn’t have any ill will towards his older fans who got him where he is today, if anything he celebrates them when he gets the chance.

Not at all. MaxMoefoe and Anything4views transitioned to a new format while retaining their audience and growing from there. The difference was they didn't use and abuse their old fanbase like yesterday's garbage like Ian and Ethan did. Both H3 and Idddubz consistently berated their old selves and their fans for enjoying that type of content because they went woke and "progressive" so they can't say anything now that mind offend anyone else. Sad decline and now they are shells of their former selves

You're a pretty good living example of what could've been, Pyro -- you moved on from the old commentary content (at least in the main channel) and still updates people on when the next main channel video will be coming out, and what it'll be. At least some of your fans (myself included) moved on with the new content. iDubbbz just stopped making videos without really much of an announcement leaving the now-aging fans but still fans of the old content out to dry.

This is basically just echoing the old iDubbz mentality of "either all of it is fine or none of it is" when it came to slurs if any kind. Naturally, anyone with common sense can realise dealing in an absolute like this is a terrible fucking idea.
There is good reason things are censored and that is a lot easier to understand if you come from a marginalised group or minority demographic. No one can prevent you having whatever beliefs you have or saying whatever words you want as long as you aren't heard saying them, but the minute those things are out in the open don't come crying about "restricted freedoms" and "free speech".
You say people can deal with the consequences but without restrictions there is no indication of consequence to begin with.
You moderate your behaviour and the way you present yourself around certain people, the same rule applies to slurs within those settings for the exact same reason. To deliberately ignore such a thing is only a demonstration of an utter lack of social awareness.
