Incredible night for Ireland as they qualified with 2 NRs in the Mixed 4x4 & W4x4 with Rhasidat Adeleke splitting back-to-back 49.64 & 49.48 within 90mins! S/O Sharlene Mawdsley's gutsy back-to-back 50.13 & 50.98 splits in both races as well!
Adeleke really represented well for Ireland! Lovely.
Did you see how fast Rhasidat was in that mixed leg? Even the officials couldn't believe it. She had to run out into lane 5 to pass the baton because the official must have lined Ireland up to come down the straight near the back. She definitely must have panicked for a moment looking to pass the baton. That could have been sub 49 if she could have stayed in lane 1
@@gerardkelsh1011 Yeah Thomas Barr on the 3rd leg should've been in Lane 2 or 3 as Rhasidat was 2nd or 3rd by the 200m mark on her leg!
@@gerardkelsh1011 Yeah that means Ireland was in 5th place at the 200m mark, that's how they line them up. So Adeleke took them from 5th to 1st on her leg. What an amazing talent!!
She wasn't though.she was in 2nd at 200m. The commentator said it's your position on the back straight which decides it but even when Adeleke broke lanes she was 5th but they placed Barr 8th. It was a strange one but no harm done thank goodness
