    Femke Bol started her anchor leg in the final with 1.5 to 2 seconds disadvantage, she also had to overtake several others through outside with added 7 to 8 meters to the distance she had to run (and at that speed that is about 1 second). Bol is the fastest runner in this field (with Paulino and an Miller Uibo) but making up 2.5 to 3 seconds is to much, even for Bol.

      *Fastest female, and that's only because Sydney McLaughlin didn't compete in this event. Bol truly is a generational talent though.

      @rientsdijkstra4266 Před 28 dny

      @@davidjones-wr3pg McLaughlin is fast (and faster than Bol) on the 100 meter and 200meter, because she has shorter legs (shorter levers give more acceleration). Bol has very long legs and accelerates slower from the block. However, her long legs also give Bol more top speed further on in the race. Furthermore, Bol has 3 WR´s on the 400, McLaughlin is still 1.14 ABOVE the World Record

    Overall strength of Team USA had it all. That is what make relay teams win. 2nd-4th were neck and neck (as usual Bol made up ground..fantastic runner, but I really think people should also start paying attention to Lieke. If she peaks correctly she has podium chances at the Olympics). That was a pretty good race though. Everyone should be proud of their performance.

    Femke and lieke run at maybe 80%. They clearly didn,t used their after burners. Femke and lieke are elite level very fast and strong TOP athletes. The dudes however with all due respect are not TOP level. There was no use for Femke and Lieke to go a 100%. The goal was to bring the mix team to the Olympics and they succeed doing so. But again, Femke and lieke clearly didn,t give all they had .

      Is that why they lost to America in the world championships in the mixed relay? Femke Bol got run down by Alexis on the last keg in the mix relay in the world championship 2023. And the Americans got the world record. Lol. You don't make any sense.

      It’s just the opposite. Netherlands qualified thanks to Bol and Klaver with the mix 400 for Paris. Without them wouldn’t have got that ticket. Women’s 400 was not a final goal. Women’s team qualified next day without those two in heat two with a win for Paris as well. Clever played, with less effort qualified twice.

      "In 4*400m women relay the Americans can only see the back of the Dutch ladies" - 🤣 You must be kidding. 😆 If you are talking about the last World Indoor Championships you should know something: The US team: Diggs (US No.5 in 2023), Hayes (25), Lear (19), Holmes (9) (Wright (53), Robinson (52)) The Dutch team: Bol (Dutch No.1 in 2023), Klaver (2), Peeters (3), de Witte (7) (van der Schoot(8), Saalberg (5)) You can clearly see that the US team was relatively weak while the Dutch sent their best runners.
