  • Welcome to the World Athletics Watch Party, join the conversation on Twitter with our hashtag #WatchWorldAthletics.
Returning to their vintage best, the USA regained the men’s 4x400m world title with the fastest time for 11 years with a typically dominant performance.
Having surprisingly forfeited the title to Trinidad & Tobago two years ago in London their team of Fred Kerley, Michael Cherry, Wil London and Rai Benjamin stormed around four laps of the Khalifia International Stadium in a world-leading time of 2:56.69.
In the women's race, living to their favourite’s billing, the US squad dominated the women's 4x400m, blitzing the field with a 3:18.92 world-leading performance.
Poland, anchored by European champion Justyna Swiety-Ersetic, took silver in 3:21.89, a national record for the quartet.

It is worth mentioning that in London Justyna Święty (the Polish anchor) ran with an unhealed injury. She twisted her ankle in the countdown to the World Championships.
That's why Justyna's performance was far from perfect. If she had been healthy Poland would most likely have finished in second place.

@EVERLASTING12000 Come on, the last Olympics took place in 2016. Four years ago. Generally the 2016 season was not good for the Polish women’s team. Since 2017 they have brought medals from every major event.
2014 IAAF World Indoor Championships Sopot - the 4th place
2016 IAAF World Indoor Championships Portland - the silver medal
2018 IAAF World Indoor Championships Birmingham - the silver medal
2017 IAAF World Championships London - the bronze medal
2019 IAAF World Championships Doha - the silver medal
2019 IAAF World Relays Nassau - the 5th place
2019 IAAF World Relays Nassau - the silver medal
2019 IAAF World Relays Yokohama - the gold medal
2015 European Athletics Indoor Championships Prague - the bronze medal
2017 European Athletics Indoor Championships Belgrade - the gold medal
2019 European Athletics Indoor Championships Glasgow - the gold medal
2016 European Athletics Championships Amsterdam - the 4th place
2018 European Athletics Championships Berlin- the gold medal
2015 European Team Championships Cheboksary - the 6th place
2017 European Team Championships Lille - the gold medal

Dalilah ran pretty fast and killed the race for USA whilst Jonathas ran a victory lap and brought the quartet home.
