Kenny not mentioning Hakeem is insane
he didn't want chuck to bring up the fact he was bringing water to hakeem
He usually does
Well he played with him not against him so he probably didnât consider it
He hates piling on his buddy Shaq
Shaq finished 2nd in DPOY in 2000. The same year he led the league in scoring, was 2nd in rebounding and won MVP.
Shaq wasn't a great defender he would foul hard but he had his moments, Hakeem Duncan mutmbo was elite
But what did the advanced stats say? Leading the league in scoring doesn't matter anymore.
@@eazymoneymane7789 DUNCAN OR MUTOMBO ARE NOT ELITE THEY CANT DEFEND SWITCH OR PERMETER. KG , ZO, BEN WALLACE, ADMIRAL AND OLAJUWON ARE ELITE. DUNCAN AND MUTOMBO ARE RIM PROTECTORS.
@@kennyhudson9201 đ€Łđ€Łđ€Ł
@@deepaknambisan3251 LOL. Right, scoring more than anyone in a game doesn't seem to matter anymore now that Embiid is the one doing it.
Shows Kenny as a kid
Chuck: look at that dork đ
Shaq wasn't the most consistent defender, but guys were more scared to go at him than some of the centers who were considered better defenders. He was an extremely intimidating presence.
SO THAT MAKES HIM A DEFENSIVE PRESENTS IDIOT
So basically like Chuck said... "Big and ugly" đ
Shaq was actually better at defense in his Orlando days cuz he was quicker and more lean. He put on more weight and got lazier when he got to the Lakers so his defense was worse. Shaq problem with defense has always been efforts and weight
@@cuongquoc5877 YEAS BECAUSE HE WS 293 TO 301 (SIMILAR TO EMBIID NOW) , IN LAKERS AND HEAT HE WAS FROM 325 TO 350
Right you didn't fear actually getting blocked by Shaq you feared him as he say "touching you up".
âYou just big and uglyâ đđ€Ł
One of the only times Kenny didn't talk about Hakeem, the number 1 shot blocker in NBA history (prehistoric stats for Russell and Wilt notwithstanding)
He's also top 10 in steals. How do 2 guys that played with him, and the other one who has said he was his toughest opponent, not mention Olajuwon? SMH.
If you watch the clips it's quite obvious WIlt would be the greatest shot blocker in any age
@@poocrayon4588 Yeah, the original comment mentioned Wilt and Russell already. My point was that 3 dudes that actually played with and against the most obvious answer somehow left him out.
Kenny tends to not pile on when it comes to Shaq
Because it doesn't involve him anymore đ Kenny only starts talking about Hakeem as long as it has his involvement somehow.
I'm 6'5 fool you 7'5 I swear you would think chuck and Shaq are brothersđ

Lol Shaq always saying âI wasnât known for defense, I wasnât a good defensive player.etcâ but when Chuck hints at it he get pressed đ€Ł
I think what Shaq means is that he was much more known for his offensive prowess than his defensive abilities. Shaq was 2bd in voting for DPOY in 2000 just an fyi.
not mentioning hakeem when he leads in blocks all time is crazy lol
And named the award after him đ
The most underrated!
@joceja23 that's not true, and he mentioned mark eaton who fits that description
@joceja23 Hakeem eliminated Chuck from the playoffs twice in a row

I wish they commentated the NBA Finals. Rates would go up tremendously! They give you a warm comfortable but humorous feeling đŻ
It would cost Disney too much to borrow them.
Forget ESPN, they need to let Turner host the NBA finals..
(Also they did let Craig Sager do sideline for NBA finals once he had cancer)
Disney would want them in dresses and đ đ»
But they aint havin that.
That's actually impressive for Chuck despite being an undersized PF n not being known as a defender
Should of put Kenny's shot blocking rank too lol
That's silly
Shaq wasnât a shot blocker, he was just a wall that nobody wanted to get hit by lol đ đ
Shaq wasn't really known for defense, he was an unstoppable offense force of nature.
Heâs top 5 all time in Playoff Blocks. Heâs really underrated as a defender. Yâall act like SHAQ was like Jokic on defense
Nigga what that mean đđđđđđđđđđ
đđđđđđđđđđđđđđđđđđđđđđđđđđđđđđđđđđ
I hate when people talk out of their ass not even checking stats... he had seasons where he averaged 3 blocks. You dont get that many blocks unless you are trying to block which means you gotta follow the action and get into positions. Thats definition of defense.
@@mrfatuchiHeâs 7â1 he better get blocks
âIm 6â5 fool! You 7â5!â 2:36
Funny thing about Shaq was that his career high in blocks was by far his rookie year. He also fouled out 8 times and recorded 5 fouls 23 additional times. I feel like Shaq's coaches probably told Shaq to lay off a bit on protecting the paint just so that he could stick around by the end of the game.
Shaq was a great defender in the playoffs and especially in the finals, but he didn't make a lot of effort during the regular season. That's why ppl just ignore his defense
Shaq may have gotten lazy at times during regular seasons and could not be bothered to guard pick and roll...but he was a top tier rim defender. Watch any of the 3peat finals games, he ran the paint on defense and guys rarely bothered to challenge him. He blocked 3+ shots and detterred dozens.Whether that's just "being big" or not, there's no charity in basketball and Shaq used all of his size to his advantage both ends of the court.
Nga u glazing him
SHAQ IS AMONG WORST DEFENDERS AND PICK N ROLL PLAYER. BUT HE WAS OK BLOCKER MOST BECAUSE HE IS HUGE SO U CANT DRIVE EASY. MEANWHILE OLAJUWON ADMIRAL AND ZO IN MY ERA 90'S ARE DIFFERENT PLANET THEY MOVE FEET WELL THEY TRACK THE ANY GUY AND HELP EVERYONE.
That's true. Shaq averaged 2.5-3 blocks in his prime. But he played with other centers that were averaging 3-4 blocks per game in Mutombo, Mourning, Robinson, and Olajuwon so he got overshadowed.
What? Shaq was not a great rim protector. Maybe against guards you could say that. He was more body than defensive prowess. Yâall keep looking at stats but they donât tell entire stores
@Wynfall He was inconsistent at that end. There are literally games where would not give any effort on that end. Occasionally heâd have a 3 block game, but most of the time he was notoriously lazy on defense. And it got worse the heavier he became
Ironically Chuck didnât mention Hakeem, whoâs the all-time leader in blocks.
Whats wild to think is shaq only made 3 All defensive team
Fr đ
Like he said, the man would just let people by and not even attempt blocks if they seemed like they would make it lmao
Him making 3 is amazing honestly
Because he was a bad defender đ€·ââïž
The 90s had other all time great defensive Centers. Ewing, Hakeem, Robinson etc Shaq became a great defender later in his career on the Lakers
"I'm 6'5 FOO!"-Charles Barkley LOL
A lot of the top players diss Chuck for not playing on a championship team. They make themselves feel better for being with better teammates. Chuck has a league MVP and 2 Olympic gold medals. Get some new material.
The best shot blocker of all time was Wilt. They just didn't count them in stats. There were games where Wilt blocked over 20 shots.
It's pretty clear when you watch the old footage that although offense may have changed a lot since then, WIlt would still be far and away the best Shot blocker and rebounder today if he played exactly as he did back then.
Hakeem Olajuwon is the all time leading shot blocker and should be mentioned in this conversation.
Didnât even mention the #1 shot blocker off all time Hakeem
âYou bigger then anyone ever to play the game!!!â -chuck
This is the greatest show ever. And Iâll say it for the 100000th time đ
This show is undefeated
Cool to hear Barkley mention Mark Eaton. I saw him play against Portland once. That dude was enormous. Made all those other big guys look normal sized.
Shaq was just shoving dudes. Bro had no filter
Shaq did block shots and you knew he was down there but he wasnt âknownâ as a shot blocker because not too many was dumb enough to challenge Shaq like that.
I'm 6'5 foolđ.
Chuck be roasting for no reason
I'm surprised Shaq didn't rattle his cup!
Or crumble his paper đ
I was at the game when Shaq had that insane triple doubles with 15 blocks
Chuck has a point though. He's only 6'5". Shaq is like 7'2". With 8ft arms.
To think chuck averaged double digit rebounds multiple times as a 6â5 pf
He was just so much of a force in offense that it hid his great defensive ability.
Love Kennyâs break down and view !!!
I'm glad Shaq doesn't get offended so easily anymore. 10 years ago Shaq would have been upset over that.
Shaq:Iâm in the top 10
Chuck: CUZUBIGASHELLđđđđđ
So we are not gonna mention Hakeem at all. REALLY.
#1 shot blocker all time not being mentioned is crazy.
I know!! The best one. Kenny is the worst. He played with the dream!
i swear i was thinking the same thing đ mentioned Dikembe and Zo but not Hakeem.. i was like wtf đ€Łđ€Ł
@@-LAH but he's played for multiple teams.
Hassan Whiteside and David Robinson. Hassan Whiteside has 4 triple doubles with blocks. He didn't have a long life span as a dominant defensive players but he was unreal for a few years
how he didnt name Hakeem is crazy when he got the most blocked shots all time
kenny's point is why people don't consider shaq a shot blocker. he was not bad as an initial or help defender, but he wasn't busting his ass on that end for sure

Mark Eaton had like 456 blocks in one season. 5.56 blks a game, which is crazy.
I, too, don't remember shaq as a scary shotblocker. Mutombo and Mourning were.
Orlando Shaq was a defensive asset. He just too got too big after that to have the conditioning necessary to be a two-way player. Doesn't matter, Shaq was one of the best playoff performers in the history of this league.
"You just big...ad ugly" There's that classic Chuck lmao
"Shaq, Charles, Kenny and Ernie have won 4 free tickets on the A-Train," said Artis Gilmore.
"you re just big....i put manute bol in there" đđđ
"cuz you big as hell!" rofl
Why Charles said , look at that dork! Lmao đ
I could watch them roasting players all day lol
Shaq is number 8 in all time blocked shots..let that sink in
Kenny NEVER explains anything...đ€Łđ€Łđ€Ł
Chuck will always jealous of Kenny and Shaq with no rings. Some nights he just gotta act out.đ
so many pauses đ
It's true what chuck is saying, I mean, people were way more scared of shaqs offense really. Couldn't be stopped. Defensively, just stay away from the paint and life's good.
There wasnt a single NBA player that ever dunked on Shaq. Don't ever say he wasnt a shot blocker lmao
Chuck put Mark EATON above Shaq in defense?!?! Mark EATON?! Come on. Somebody on drugs on that set.
Alonzo Mourning...I never watched Heat games back then. Mostly Bulls games as a kid. Only games they would play on my TV haha. But Alonzo! Gee wiz! I use him on 2k23 all the time!!! đ€Łđ€Łđ€Ł unreal! Lol
Chuck never goggled Shaq
These guys are gold! Charles: You big and ugly
Charles and Kenny forgot about Hakeem Olajuwon and Ralph Sampson and David Robinson
2:51 Chuck â ïž
1) Hakeem 2) Mutombo 3) Kareem 4) Eaton 5) Duncan* 6) David Robinson 7) Ewing 8) Shaq 9) Tree Rollins 10) Parish .... I would be more scared of Robinson coming after me. He was fast like a guard and if you put a quarter on top of the backboard, he could snatch that right off the top. I remember seeing cams through the plexiglass of him running down point guards and slapping it off the backboard near the top before that layup had a chance. I'm actually surprised about how many blocks Eaton has, I don't remember him being talked about all that often. You always hear about Mourning, Mutombo, Robinson, Ewing and Hakeem.
Top 10 in blocks. Number nine with I think 2732. I call that a shot blocker. Not like Eaton or Bol but still
I'm 6'5" fool!!!đđđđ
Charles was talking about the players he was worried about. Shaq maybe top 10 but Charles wasn't worried about him.
chuck like fucking with shaq đ
Rank 129 Is wild chuck
I really wish Shaq was replaced with Kevin Mchale, or even added with Shaq I guess, because Chuck and Kevin would be like a comedy duo.
It is also priceless Chuck called Kenny a "dork."
Barkley was trying so hard not to laugh while shading big diesel
Shaq always wants to be mentioned đđ
As he should
Shaq did have a 15 block game which is more than what Deke or Hakeem had in any one game. Side note if they recorded blocks during Kareem's first 4 seasons in the NBA Kareem would have over 4k blocks and be top dog.
Chuck is right Shaq wasnât skilled he was just big have you ever seen him shoot a free throw
Shaq was a great rim protector and definitely detoured people from coming in the lane!
He purposely didnât name Shaq
Shaq was a great shot blocker, heâs 8th for total blocks, 17th for blocks per game. And teams definitely werenât going to the rim as much against Shaq.
Shaq wasn't a "shot blocker". People rarely challenged him at the rim like that.
Anthony Davis is an elite Shot Blocker. Yâall shouldâve seen his college games. Everyone was welcome to his block parties. Even now, I saw that he just dropped 7 blocks against the grizzlies.
Heâs very smart on the defensive end, great timing for blocking shots
Tim Duncan, #1 shot blocker NBA playoffs history
Shaq fishing for compliments LOL
Kenny played with two of the greatest defenders ever Olujuwan and Mad Max
I too remember that shaqs defense wasn't all that great. He would also get into foul trouble at times. This is why I pick wilt over shaq.
Don't feel bad Shaq. Hakeem Olajuwon is number 1 on the list and Chuck didn't mention him either.
