    We are finally in Turkey! We leave Greece by ferry from Piraeus (Athens) and travel to Chios, Greece to follow up with a ferry to Çeşme, Turkey.
    We are so excited to see Turkey and the first thing we do is live with a local family in Bergama, Turkey. We had an incredible experience learning about the culture, the food, raki and about Turkish village life.

    I love this video. Someone should make a movie of your world towning life. Speaking of Turkish coffee, the first time I got introduced to it, I wondered why the cups were so small. Once I drank it, it felt as if the strong coffee traveled through my nostrils and up to my brain. I'm still willing to drink it, but the next time would be with caution and in little sips rather than one big gulp.

    OMG! You guys are in my country! Well I was born and raised in the Netherlands but my parents are from Turkey. You will love it there! I have seen most parts of Turkey and the parts I didn't see, I Am planning to see when I get retired 😂 Because of you guys we went to Marrakech on the Christmas holiday and we loved it! We only stayed there for 5 days and that was not enough! I will check the link for Marocco maybe we will explore together. (Getting exited 😂) You are going to Izmir, when your there eat Kumru. In Konya eat "Kuyu kebabi" and of course "Etli ekmek and Mevlana" and drink "Ayran" it's yogurt mixed with water and salt. If you cross by Kayseri; eat "Manti" in Ankara visit: "Ataturk" you must go to North Turkey/Karadeniz it's beautiful there lost of green and eat "Kuymak" the teagardens are there. So the Turkish tea comes of that area. Visit Kapadokya and drink local wine. The heaven of food in Turkey is Adana, Gazi Antep and Urfa, be careful do it is spice but yum yum. Antalya, meet history and eat "Gozleme" Go to Bursa and eat: Iskender kebab and you must do the Turkish bath there it is amazing! And of course Istanbul eat: "balik ekmek" (fish with bread) from the boats on Eminonu and enjoy the History. Turkey is rich for his History and food every parts of Turkey has his own music, dans, dialect and food. Enjoy every second of your journey, watch out do not everywhere is safe. But I think that's counts where ever you go in the world. Anyways if you want to know what to eat for dessert let me know haha. Ow before I forget, the thing what your hosted said about the coffee. He ment you are going to be friends for 40 years, because in the back days coffee was and still is expensive; so if you get offered coffee it means your special otherwise you will get just tea haha You will get your coffe with a glass of water. When you drink the water first it means you are hungry and if you drink first of your coffee it means you are full and not hungry haha what a ritual ha! Ow when they say, if they offers you something to eat and you say no, they get insulted. But if you don't trust it don't eat it, it's that simple! Love you guys!!!! Have fun!!! 💋💋💋💋

    Hi guys;
    It's interesting to hear your discussion with the turkish guy about sharing coffee.
    In Morocco it doesn't work that way when sharing tea or coffee !! However when you share milk, bread or couscous , you would be brothers and sisters for life ( theoretically).
    On the other hand, moroccans use to say :" those who don't drink wine of this world, they will drink wine of the next world" ; So it's up to you to make your choice, but I have no idea what kind of wine you will find there. 💥🤣💥
    Take care.

      We are so lucky to get to meet cool locals as we travel. Thanks for the suggestions. We only have a month to see Turkey so we are doing our best to see a variety of areas. But, we don't have time to go too far south. Also, we stay in one place and work/school during the week so that only leaves us the weekends to adventure. I guess this just means we need another visit. Ha.

Do you not see and hear how obnoxious you all are? Look at the way people are reacting. Their body tenses, they frown . Lucky for you to be among well mannered patient kind and classy people . You are tolerated.
