Barry didn't necessarily "kill" Thawne, but rather he reset his timeline. By removing Thawne's relationship with Barry, he would never become Reverse Flash and instead stay as a normal Flash fan of the future.

You could say…for those who understand Final Fantasy 7…Thawne is the Sephiroth to Barry’s Cloud Strife.
Because when Sephiroth got killed, his soul CLUNG himself to Cloud, he doesn’t want to be a memory. He wants Cloud to keep remembering him, so he can HAUNT him and FIGHT HIM, even going through TIME for it for his plans.
It’s similar to Barry and Thawne with Thawne as the paradox because he keeps himself in the past due to constantly battling Barry Allen and Barry remembering him. But once Barry apologized to him, he just disappears. Thawne’s timeline is straight GONE.

Isn't Thawne a big fan of Barry so that he become the villain? He did it not because he hate Barry, but because he's big fan of Barry.
@@ReigoVassal he was a big fan of flash, so he tried to recreate the particle accelerator explosion and ended up getting speed, but since flash was the main star he started making crimes himself, then resolving them. But flash didn't like it so he calls him out and does something which i dont remember so Thawne goes crazy and dedicates his life to making Barry's a living hell. (i think that's what happens originally so if im wrong, correct me)

Thawne didn’t die, he was reset. Right now he’s a normal guy and curator of the Flash museum. He even insulted a statue of his old villain self for being a sad man filled with hate.

He didn't kill him. He reset his timeline by grounding him, he was no longer a living paradox, and therefore his history was altered by the changes of the timeline. Eobard Thawne was reset as just the curator of The Flash Museum in the twenty-fifth century with zero memories of his time as Reverse Flash, whose identity is now a mystery. The villain and his crimes are fixed points, however, but Barry gave Eobard a second chance to live his life without hate. That is until someone in the near future will figure out a way to bring him back.
Buuut, then the comics nowadays are pretty much propaganda pushing now. So him returning is rather slim.

First, he forgives Reverse Flash, and then he's like, You know what, I'll just delete you from existence
Actually he didn't delete Thwane from existence, he actually reset Thawnes timeline by getting rid of the one thing that drew Thawne to become the Reverse Flash in the first place, his relationship to Barry. By doing that Thwane never becomes driven to prove to Barry that their bond is special and thus never comes to the present to learn that he's destined to die at the hands of his hero, hence now Thawne is back in the future where he remains happy as the curator of the Flash museum in the 30th century with no recollection or memory of being the Reverse Flash

@@cmtm4880 It is a bit confusing, but from what I understand Barry reset Thwanes timeline and also took away his ability to be a living paradox, thus Thawne still killed Barry's mother because he was a being outside of time and could change time as much as he wants in the canon DC Comics Universe we know. But now Barry has given Thwane himself a reset life where Thwane lives his life as a happy Flash Museum curator where he gives tours and when asked about the Reverse Flash statue he doesn't remember being the Reverse Flash at all and in the future the identity of RF is unknown. He even says "It's hard to imagine someone with so much hatred for the Flash family. It's just not a way to live".
I know its a little confusing but it still acts as a perfect conclusion to Barry and Thwanes rivalry

Don't get me wrong, someone like Eobard totally deserves at LEAST this much.
