I totally agree that this was locked and loaded and released on purpose and on time. Good for them. And this video specifically should shut everyone the hell up. Because people love to say “why didn’t she just leave?” This video is of her trying to do just that. This is why it’s not as simple as unintelligent people may think leaving an abuser may be. My heart breaks for Cassie and I hope that her continued healing journey is serving her more and more everyday.

I've dealt with verbal and emotional abuse from a partner and my Mimi dealt with similar horrific violent abuse with her 2nd husband before she finally divorced him after more than a decade. I hope we are at a reckoning when it comes to domestic violence and abuse. It's sooooo much more common than we like to think. I hope Cassie got a huge payday and is safe and happy now.
