I immensely enjoy listening to Carnival of Souls simply for the reason that besides being a kick-@sss album (and the band's heaviest), it has BK's footprint all over it, including a wicked bass line on "Jungle".
It’s too bad that they didn’t play “King Of The Mountain” and “Who Wants To Be Lonely”, but Bruce’s band probably played those. I think “Asylum” is one of the best Kiss albums. I just wish it was remastered with a little less mid range and more bass. I find when I crank it up, it gets harsh on speakers.
No SHIT and REVENGE is a great album but ASYLUM is my top also Paul's voice just can't handle it anymore his voice is shot Eric has to sing with him if you noticed he sang with him on tears are falling on this video to make songs sound decent at best!

Seems I once read in an article or heard Paul Stanley say during an interview that Mark St. John and Vinnie Vincent were among the two most technical guitar players in KISS, however they just never quite “fit” in with the band and the direction Paul and Gene wanted to go. Regardless, BK is easily my favorite (Still remember rocking out to a KISS REVENGE cassette back when I was 11 / 12 years old) and imo he doesn’t get the credit and respect he deserves in the guitar community.
I met bruce once and he was so nice in person.Such a down to earth guy who loves the fans.First time i saw bruce play live was on the kiss Animalize tour.Bruce played the first time at Stabler Arena, in Bethlehem Pennsylvania with Gene, Paul and the late great Eric Carr.RIP Eric.Eric Carr was one hell of a drummer.Kiss forever!!!👍✌❤

I met Bruce and Eric Carr together in the 80s 2 x and both times it was at 2 different Yngwie shows . They must of loved him at the time . One was at L’Amours in Brooklyn and the other time was not too long after at the Beacon theater in NYC…In fact I had Eric Carr sign the back of my yngwie poster. It’s odd collectors memorabilia to have a Carr signature on an yngwie poster but it was all I had at the moment lol . And funny when I told Bruce what a big kiss fan I am ,I happen to coincidently be wearing an ace pin,it was just aces face lol I kinda felt bad for a second lol

I’m a guitarist myself and to be honest in the beginning I wasn’t terribly impressed w Bruce after Ace who is iconic no matter how technical he played ,same with Angus Young ,Angus can’t play as technically proficient as Steve Vai,but more people are effected by Ace ,Angus and David Gilmore (same thing. Cause it touches their hearts . Then you had shred wizards & at that time I got caught up in that too . Eddie changed the game ,Randy followed and not long after trying to learn that I was playing Vivian Campbell from Dio & this was all before Yngwie blew our minds. Lol So I welcomed a new current guitarist and was digging Vinnie and Mark . I went to go see Animalize expecting Mark to come out and Bruce is standing there like a tree lol & I’m like who da h*ll is this guy?!? lol no one told us. And I was disappointed Mark wasn’t going to play. At first I thought Bruce wasn’t as good as Mark St John. They made Bruce try to play as current as possible to try to copy EVH as much as possible and gave us no no no and boomerang . Some people like those songs but I thought it was cheese. Bad Eddie wanna be playing. But let me tell you ,over the years I absolutely LOVE Bruce!!!! After the band got over telling him to play like EVH he really came to his own. His solos in the 80s now when I hear back are so catchy and eternal! They got So classic sounding… Then I remember being impressed when I heard him solo on Unholy. . He was coming to his own playing by Revenge. He’s great on that album…And on carnival he shines too ,he was growing…. Sadly it was cut too short w kiss . His song I walk alone to me is like How Ace had shock me, you’re showing us who you are .and Tommy nice guy but doesn’t know who he is ,lolall he does is try to be a second rate homogenized spaceman . I love KISS so much. Since I was 5 years old when my big brother gave me his copy of Rock and Roll Over they have been my favorite band.
