Try adding demon powder into your buffs! Also you didn't equip any coatings at the start which is huge damage loss. Stam Surge 3 with con 2 is also better than con 3 with stam surge 2 (assuming you're eating for blackbelt?). You can also get a fair bit more damage in this fight doing a frostcraft water bow build instead of a regular crit element only one. Gl with your next run!
In this video I use an elemental bow to finish the job. Fatalis weapons is focus mainly on Raw Dmg. (Bow in MHW is still OP with spread shot, But rise has all type of Bow that can hunt all monsters.)

Peak Performance is a throwaway skill here, since they were wearing the Velkhana legs to get crit element

Yeah, I have to focus on highest DMG and make monster always enraged during the hunt.
Thousand dragons/dragon piercer/arc shot are all dps losses on bow. Always better off Q>R>R>P or Q>R>P>R>P or dash dancing.

Velkhana Divinity stat in safi up will give you crit element without set??
Velkhana armor+ velkhana divinity in weapon count as two armor = Crit element armor set bonus
