All Might is the pillar that holds up My Hero Academia's world. But he's also the glue that binds its story and characters together into a cohesive whole.

All Might is so ironic. You'd expect a guy who named himself that would have a mad ego rather than being one of the most selfless, giving, magnanimous and self sacrificing people to ever live. The embodiment of the "looks can be deceiving" theme that his protégé also exhibits.
Toshinori (All Might) is the most inspirational character, at least to me. He’s not just some strong dude with crazy strength, but someone who can be empathized with as he also has doubts of his own (yet smiles through it all).
Deku should just change his name to smol might
Why...does everyone get Superman
It's interesting how My Hero Academia is pretty much Deku's story, but most of it comes back to All Might. It'd be so much better if sequels like Boruto did this, where Boruto is the main protagonist but Naruto plays a much, much larger role than the one he currently has.
All Might probably speaks English better than I do
All Might was not only a complete badass, but he was also an amazing geography teacher
This anime just keeps getting better and better
I object to the statement that "Heroes for profit are stinking up the place." Heroes who are fighting for money aren't necessarily evil. Ochaco Uraraka is becoming a hero for money because she wants to support her parents. Sure, she helps others people as her dream, but she was willing to throw away that dream to help her parents, and the reason she is training to be a hero is to support her parents.
All Might is far and away the best character in the entire series IMO. The dramatic contrast between his skinny and muscular forms is a highly creative idea, and provides both comedy and no shortage of emotional poignancy. His philosophy of a symbol of positivity being necessary to hold up superhuman society has plenty of benefits and drawbacks, and is a very interesting discussion. Finally, he embodies the concept of "going beyond one's limits" so powerfully. All Might is just outstanding, Hero Number One for a reason!
"You can't just have an anime keep getting better and better without letting up!"
Horikoshi Has gone on record saying he has the whole story of "My Hero Academia" already written and only makes minor changes to make the story better. I myself have more faith that MHA will have a fully realized narrative knowing he's not making shit up as he goes. So they're going to have to pull some SAO style BS for me to start being worried.
Giving mah man major props. RESPECT!!
It's interesting that legacy is a central theme to My Hero Academia (though perhaps not THE central theme), because it's clear that MHA builds on the legacy of other Shonen Jump properties. But it learns from their creative mistakes, and its thematic focus and the central role of All Might is definitely one of those ways that it has learned. It also hits a level of emotional intensity that is often surprising, and I think that the earnest optimism and idealism of the series and of All Might himself are crucial to that. We know that no matter how dark things get, there will be hope in the end. Just listening to you talk about how All Might's legacy will continue on was able to cue me into those emotional moments.
Idk what it is about this anime that makes me feel so wholesome and satisfied with every episode
I'm still shaking over the UNITED STATES OF SMAAAASH, personally.
Honestly whenever I first saw All Might when I first started the manga, I almost expected a Superman type character, and I have never been happier to be wrong. I really appreciate how MHA as a series deals with its characters, there is a feeling of no matter how powerful a character is, at the end of the day, they are a human still. They all have failures and weaknesses (and not just something bull-crapped for the illusion of suspense like kryptonite) and the show/manga really focuses on the human aspect of the heroes and villains, instead of just the heroic deeds.
That fight between One for All and All might had me screaming at the screen, "You can do it all might"! And I'm to old to do something like that. That's how great that epis was.
At first when I saw All might I was a bit skeptical I thought he'd be some other superman character
Bruh forget Marvel and DC heroes. All might is my hero 💪🏻😤
