    So glad you guys brought up the outdated info on niacinamide and vitamin c. I came across articles on that months ago. In order for the niacinamide to break down it would need to be exposed to extreme heat for extended periods of time. It also does not corrupt the vitamin c but converts it to niacinamide ascorbate. Which is actually good for your skin and reversing skin damage from the sun

    • @BeautyWithin
      @BeautyWithin  Před 5 lety +132

      So glad you're finding the ABC series helpful! It means a lot to us! As for the patting and smoothing, there really isn't a set rule on what you should do when applying each product. Some people find the patting helpful for making sure the products to sink into the skin, whereas the upwards smoothing motion helps to retain the skin's shape and prevent from sagging. But the bottom line is to be gentle to your skin so you shouldn't be rubbing harshly. Do what you feel is the most comfortable to you! Hope this helps! 😊😊

    Another product I'd recommend would be Saturday Skin's Pro-Biotics Cotton Cloud Sheet Mask.
    It. Is. DREAMY.
    When I used it the first time, I felt like there was this beautiful plumping effect to my skin, and this glow-from-within look. But I also kept the packets since there was so much leftover serum in them and just started using it as an essence in my skincare routine, and I've seen such a difference. My redness has decreased significantly, my pores have reduced, blemishes gone and overall very smooth flawless-looking skin. And when I tried to figure out what ingredient it was that was suiting me so well, I saw that (among other ingredients which I'm sure are also great) Niacinimide was mentioned high up in the list. I'm VERY sure Niacinimide made the difference in my skin. And if it didn't, then I'd still recommend this sheet mask for all the other gorgeous ingredients my plebian mind can't comprehend in all its glory. Seriously, check it out. I love it.

    Hi girls! Thank you for all your videos. I find them super useful and helpful. I’m struggling with acne since 12 I guess, now I’m 25 and decided to take retinoids pills. Perhaps you can make another video for those who are taking those... as dermatologists do not propose most effective moisturizers, especially for lips! What can go together with retinoids? What oils should be used? What to avoid? Although I watched ur video about vitamin A, I still would love to see what specific skin care should I do, if I am taking the pills and how to soothe the dryness of the lips(!!!) and skin! I WOULD APPRECIATE IT! Thank you:)

    Great video again guys! Love the channel, I have learned so much. Just wanted to add that I had a terrible reaction when using The Ordinary. Oh my gosh, I just bought a vitamin C derivative serum from the ordinary that’s meant to be used in the night, but my night cream is a niacinamide cream!! I’ll definitely try the combo out to see if it’s adverse on my skin but I’m itching to return that serum and maybe get the niacinamide booster from paula’s for my day routine now LOL

    • @BeautyWithin
      @BeautyWithin  Před 5 lety +10

      Actually as we mentioned in the video, vitamin C and niacinamide is actually fine to use together! But as you said just see how your skin is reacting to it, if there's no irritation it will actually help to boost each other, especially when used during the day! Personally I love the Paula's Choice booster, because you can choose what to mix it into (like a serum or moisturizer) and it's so lightweight and non-irritating 😘- fel

      @@marissasun77 www.beautifulwithbrains.com/use-vitamin-c-niacinamide-together/ here is 1 of the articles I read. I only fully got into taking care of my skin about 4/5 months ago. I started trying to find what would work for me a few months before that. It was a process to say the least. At night I spend about an hour sometimes. During the day is quicker, I don't use all the same things. I wish I'd invested more time and effort in sunscreen when I was growing up, but I was an 80s kid and my mother never bought the stuff. I use it religiously now, on my kids as well. But good skin care has made a big difference too. You should definitely take that time for yourself 😁
