- Latin America is a big area and it covers a wide range of countries with diverse cultures and trends alongside vast variety of economic approaches. For some this area can serve as a great retreat to buy retirement, vacation or rental property as most of the countries here offer low property taxes, high return on investment, and a pleasant climate throughout the year. The places mentioned in this video are ideal to buy property and all of them allow foreign investors to invest in their real estate market. However, it makes sense to live in a place for a while before you buy real estate. Places that seem great on vacation may not be perfect to buy a house in. Nevertheless, most of them are regarded the best in their respective countries.
So, here are the 15 best places to buy property in Latin America.

chilean here, if you like swiss or nordic european landscapes, I recomend, Puerto natales or Valdivia at the south of Chile
I visited Playa Del Carmen several times between 2015 and 2019. I finally asked myself, "If this town were in the US, would I want to live here?" I surprised myself with an immediate, "Hell NO! This place is a SLUM!" In 2019 the beach was almost gone; the stench of rotting seawed filled the air 10 blocks from the beach, and 2 cops tried to palm coke into my pants at an awkward drunken stop - they were drunk and I was jogging. I eventually just jogged away from them and they were too drunk to follow. In case you're wondering, I was in my late 50's at the time. PDC is NASTY!
Interesting suggestions. Now - as a latin american who knows most of these locations -, I would wait at least one year before considering buying in Argentina, Chile or Colombia, and the obvious reason is one needs to see what the socialist governments of these countries are cooking...Argentina is totally broke and the other two are bound for the same results should they insist in copying the bolivarian recipe for economic and social disaster. #JustSaying
Then it will get even cheaper!
@@WombatGamesChannel , agree, but the question is: will they allow you to keep it as a private property? Beware of the expression "social interest".....
Dude, these guys might be as red as shit but at least they respect private property
Ya pasó un año, no dude en invertir en Argentina 😊
Very informative yet quite entertaining
It would be great if you could do the same for rental apts in Latin America.
Awesome.
most of those locations are near the sea. several folk do NOT like humidity nor the heat. San Miguel de Allende sounds great but high dollar due to expats. Cuenca is also sounds like a nice environment. Santiago, too, i guess. only 20% here are even options!
Well, sounds like you have specific tastes
@@Alesistx2023 having been raised in Dallas, i am aware of what I *don't* want.
Don’t buy in B.A., the bugs attack there first, leaving Johnny, Diz, Doogie Howser, and Charlie Sheen’s ex wife without homes to go back to……
Amazing... All these places are flourishing without high taxes. Democrats need to adjust their perspectives a little 🙄.
👍
Unfortunately in the United States we are not far from socialism. I ❤ USA, but I know what is coming for the United States from experience.
Anyone knows a safe way to buy in Argentina? Thnks!!
Try to get in contact with Buenos Aires real estate firms, they tend to attend foreigners like Brazilians.
