Kim Thayil is a fucking wizard
Believe it or not, my favorite late 80s guitarist not named Stevie Ray Vaughn.
Cornell and Thayil are one of the greatest guitar duos ever.
He's already got the big white beard and long hair, only thing he needs is a robe
Motherfuck yeah, he is!!!!
@@Ariel_thenotsolittlemermaid Wizard hat?
Krist looks soo happy doing what he's doing. He deserves it.
He seems like such a nice guy in interviews. No ego at all.
@Fruit Bat McGee he's BEEN in Giants In The Trees for a while now 😕
Yeah Krist I believe much people want to see him again on stage
He's not dodging flying chunks of musical wood tho. It just isn't right.
Krist is the reason I play bass
I love how 90’s they all still sound together
for real haha
The riff and second solo are really just the most Kim Thayil thing possible and it’s good to see he’s still got it
absolutely!
Agree completely. Incredible as always. So Heavy! 🔥🤘🔥
Of course he's still got it, he never let go of it. One of the most underated guitarists. I mean, just listen to him here!
Yeah heard it on Primordial radio for the first time and immediately knew it was Kim.
Mm hmm yep. Thayil took the ball from John Lennon's heaviest riffs and moved it to the end zone.
RIP Chris and Kurt
And Mark Lanegan, Andy Wood, Layne Staley, Mike Starr, Bill Rieflin and many others I have missed I am sure.
@@kisle3195
Scott Weiland for sure and Chester Bennington extended hard rock family.
@@anybody2501 Scott Weiland definitely an iconic voice of the 90's, but I was referring to those who came out of The PNW music scene.
@@kisle3195
Oh, you're one of those guys lmao 😂
Fair enough.
@@anybody2501 If you recognized any of the artists I had mentioned it should have been clear what the connection was without pointing out the common denominator to any one whom is a real fan of music, I guess your one of those guys who gets your music influence from Billboard charts.
Kim is a Riff lord 🙌 Grunge will never die 🔥
exactally
Been dead
It's just isreals son by silverchair
@@serpentinefire921 boowomp
sounds like stoner to me
I love this band more and more. Singers are fantastic almost like Ann and Nancy came back! Krist did a great job assembling this band. RIP C Cornell, L Staley and K Cobain. They would be proud of 3rd Secret.
This is probably the best song of this album. Let's hope 3rd Secret carries on for the years to come.
First time I’ve liked their vocals. It’s good when they harmonize like that.
Grunge refuses to die and I’m glad to hear it! This is better than we could have ever expected at this point. I’m grateful for that!
Matt Cameron, one of the most underrated stick men ever.
idk bout that bro... you cant drum for pearl jam AND soundgarden and still be underrated.
Growing up with Soundgarden, Alice In Chains, Nirvana and Pearl Jam. I didn’t know what to expect this band to be like. Yes Kim’s guitar is the start for Chris, These 2 ladies are a great direction that work with this music. 46 years still here
Wow with Temple of the Dog, you had Soundgarden, Mother Love Bone and Pearl Jam and with Mad Season, Alice In Chains, Pearl Jam and the Screaming Trees. Now we have Soundgarden and Nirvana and 2 chicks whose vocals are harrowing and are topping to the cake🤗🤗 Grunge never dies😎😎
...and Pearl Jam and Giants in the Trees...
Dupree is no slouch
@@DaveSstation Right. I should’ve included Void.
2 chicks? You mean Novoselic band mates from Giants in the Trees?
These girls are beautiful!!
She's brilliant. Great melodies.
This is so unreal, vocals are unmatched! Kris looks like he is having a blast!
Perfect band, eternal life for grunge
The riff reminds me of Black Rain. Kim really has unique guitar playing style. I would recognize his playing every time.
Kim is soooo underrated…..the guy is such a talent…. Great to see krist playing in a band again… jil n jens stunning vocals remind me of breeders or throwing muses…. Great band.
Every corner of this song is beautiful.
I'm so happy to hear Kim's guitar again. Dual vocals 👌 🙌
Matt! Krist! It's got it all
Awsome Band! Grunge is not Dead!
thats not grunge...
@@penemankakaroto4286 Yes, just because they are musicians from past Grunge bands does not make this Grunge, but this is awesome new rock--and I love it!!
Whhere's the grunge?
"It just smells funny." - Frank Zappa
Yall don't know grunge. Grunge doesn't sound like anything besides dirty rock.
Watching this gave me goosebumps, especially a few shots where Matt, Kim and Krist are together. I was 18 when Nirvana exploded in 1991.... 49 years old now and this music is still in my soul.
It's good to hear that I wish I had a chance to see nirvana live
Same goosebumps on this 49 year old Soundgarden fan! This is great!
"Winter Solstice" is pretty special too. Gives me goosebumps every time I hear it.
Ahhh..the good old days man! No doubt!
I saw one of the last shows Nirvana played in Buffalo NY UB
home is where the heart is...
Expected to be stoked about the super group aspect, but find myself even more taken by how well these two singers sing together - it's almost like double tracked vocals at points.
Word up. Grunge isn't always conducive to female vocals, but this absolutely rips.
like a female AIC. ❤❤❤
They are amazing! We were ready for some new female vocals.
This style of vocalizing reminded me the Pixies.
Two singers seems like a smart strategy - for example, while Alice n' Chains certainly miss Layne Staley, because Jerry Cantrell did so much singing on their early records, their more recent records without Layne still have some of that distinctive vocal sound. Not insinuating anything about Third Secret, of course.
These harmonies are kind of breaking my brain. Outstanding!
Been waiting to hear Kim again!!!!!!!!
Months later and I keep coming back to this. Sounds so freaking good.
The essence and heart of the Seattle scene - that's why I fell in love with this music philosophy, a hot melting pot in which everyone will find something for themselves.
Music that constantly and uncritically warms my heart.
Real , Quality music in 2023 👍🏼
Please, please continue...The voices! The sound... Kim, Chris... the drums...Matt... for ever!!!
the rest of the album has a total different sound. I was bummed.
This song straight up cooks. Fantastic ❤
Pieces of Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, and Nirvana. So cool to see, and the singers are the icing on the cake
So happy for Kim and Matt!!!!
KimThayil just an inspiration
Kim & Bubba work so well together, need more of this music yesterday!!!
Classic SG riff from Thayil. Matt and Krist tight and driving it. Bubba adds the meat to the bones. Jenn and Jill's vocals are fresh and alluring, ensuring we are not purely reminiscing in the sountrack of our adolescence. Much love 🙏💚💛💜
this band deserves more recognition, soo underrated!
I love this. Very nice groove by grunge legends.
rock an roll baby, grunge baby this is a history album
Kim Thayil 🎸❤️🔥
Krist is my musical hero, I started playing bass because of him. I'm so happy for him
My new favorite band/album.
I think it's the same for me 😎
Me too
I’m glad they listened to the requests to make this a real band after the AIC tribute 🖤
All this makes me wish I grew up in Seattle, just seems so chill.
Diggin' this. Love seeing Kris swaying as he plays the bass, he swayed like that playing Nirvana. They look like they're enjoying themselves which is great. Hope they tour the UK.
Underrated band. Hope this one will finally see a vinyl release!
FINALLY, some good music.
\m/ grunge f*ck yeah
Finally? What are you listening too..? There is plenty of great music that isn't left over 90 riffs
Where?
That's a Soundgarden riff if ever I heard one. The mighty Kim Thayil!
Jennifer is incredible. The way she dances and her ability to harmonize is so attractive. One musician to another.
This band is incredible I hope they put out a vinyl print of their album. Best supergroup of the year.
Its a fucking pop music
Perhaps of the decade, my friend.
No no no this stuff has a place!! In my ears! I'm digging it.
@@marekkolins5434 read this comment a few times... and it still makes no fucking sense.
@@marekkolins5434 You're a pop music!
Just so cool to see Kim Thayil playing! He is a riff machine!
love that badass Thayil
legit looks like a Wizard Guitar man in that same level of Toni iommi Wizardly
The legends of grunge meet in one band, amazing..🔥🔥,,gretting from indonesia,,🇲🇨
soundgarden x pearl jam 😆🤘
Grunge never die🤘
We miss you Chris🤘

Great band. I'm in.
this is the meisters' work!!!!
heavy as top of grunge!
easy listening like stereolab!
awesome solution!
I'm really happy to see Krist creating and performing again.
Huge Soundgarden fan for 28 years… time flies…. Always wary of people I love getting together including these… but boy are they good… love it and I’m hard to please these days
Great to see these guys still jammin
Who says at 63 years you can´t enjoy great musisc? Love it!!
Have this on repeat! Such a powerful group of talent here!
Omg!!! They somehow resurected grunge rock!! 🤘🤘🎸
Great song, excellent performance
Those riffs!
Rock on.
They are awesome 😎
This might be the best thing I’ve heard from them. Finally got the vocals right.
I’ve been listening to 3rd Secret nonstop, the album is incredible!!
Same ! Love their vocals on this and obviously the whole album great vibes!
Yup. My April/May favorite
Just bought the album and all the tracks are good, some are amazing. I'm so happy to see Krist, Kim and Matt back.
Yeahh
God this is good. It's 1992 good, nevermind 2022 good. Way to re-capture the essence of the music and move it forward people. Well done!
Beautiful.
😇Thank you for being awesome!
Amazing song!!
Grunge Gods gracing humanity once again 🥹🙏
I love how Kim dances in 1:17 - so graceful. You can tell he's having a wonderful time!
Man, 3rd Secret is what we were desperately needing in these days!
Grunge/Seattle sound is back in 2023!
The 90's and Seatlle sound are alive! You guys made a perfect album, I can't stop listening! I love you Kim, Krist, Matt, Jon, Jillian and Jennifer. Hugs and lots of love from Brazil.
isso caralho, o pessoal nao sente...
Outstanding.
This sounds more like Soundgarden than anything else. As good as it is, it makes me miss Chris even more.
That was my thought as well
I miss all my old fallen hero’s. I got my first classical guitar in 1990. 11 years old. Proved my worth saved paper route money for a electric in 91 ish
It sounds like Soundgarden but the vocals of Nirvana practically. Man! it's all a perfect conbination and it produces nostalgia. Love this.
@@alanwashstuff216 Kim's repurposed outtakes
@@alanwashstuff216 no 😂they sing like Chris Cornell
Amazing vocals.
This is real good!!!!!
Soooo good to see you together guys and it sounds awesome !!!!
Had to play it 10 times in a row!!
I will never now NOT watch Kim Thayil play guitar right handed but use his effect pedals with his left foot. Thanks Rick Beato!
That was absolutely AWESOME
Love seeing the guys together ⚘
The music sounds great as always 👌
Wow, awesome performance
F-ing Awesome! Love it! Peace, love and goosebumps! =P
This needs to blow up honestly, this is so freaking awesome!
That breakdown is killer. The vocalist really compliment eachother and kims riffs just make it so much better. Rock on seattle!
Wow love it 🤟🏼🤟🏼🇨🇦
I'm smiling automatically
I'm happy
Kim thayils riffs are still so damn good… how does he do it???
And mind bending solos. Dude is a one of a kind.
thank you for make this band
Holy crap ..you've singlehandedly cheered me up..this is EXACTLY what I'd hope to see in a long time...what a line up..lol..great having female vocals too ..I'm 've missed seeing Kim & Matt play very much indeed .xx
This is fantastic
Grace Slick once said that nobody (including her) over 50 belongs on a rock stage. These guys just shattered that axiom and I think Grace would agree. MORE! MORE! MORE!!!!!
Don’t trust anyone over 80.
@@3rdsecret 🤣
Lou Reed had the solution to that problem. Just don’t call it Rock. Just call it music. Don’t get hung up and restricted by labels and categories. They frequently mean nothing. Did the song move you in some way or not? It either spoke to you or it didn’t. That’s what matters. It’s Art and communication and culture. It means something to you or it doesn’t.
Seattle music continues to reign. A cassette release would be cool too.
A cassette release would be stupid.
Incredible album, a really , really, really fucking good surprise !!
Adding my voice to the chorus of people hoping for physical releases of the album! CD and vinyl both would be ideal.
When I first heard it, I wasn't thrilled, but I gave it another listen and now I love this. Great album!
I hope they keep this magic going and give us several albums. Their best is yet to come. This is super.
Great job Jennifer and Jillian!!! I love your performance here and in the record!!! , amazing to hear your voices swimming in the dark and beautiful sea of guitars and bass-drumm grooves.
Thank you so much!!
This is totally bad ass!!! Nice to see these fellas putting together yet another killer band. Love the female vocalists; soothing and sultry.
I cannot praise this enough, holy s, this is the best band iv e heard in like forever!!
