I love how slowly Allen’s pupil moves from Earth to Mark’s face when he realizes he got the wrong planet.

The dialogue actually makes a lot more sense now that I’ve seen the end of season one, Alan doesn’t even need to say Viltrumites, everywhere else in the universe, they are synonymous with planet conquering monsters
plot woulda been very different if he'd said viltrumites here tho lol
We all think he's so vincible but we cheer for him anyways
It's not the fact that he can be beaten or not that makes him Invincible.
It's the fact that he will always get up again, even on deaths door.
He also holds back a lot. He's a teen and doesn't want to kill or hurt people. He's quite a bit like spiderman in that regard.

It's the additional finger point above his head without him ever needing to look at it himself that sells it.
This is the most exasperated he's been outside of the major life crisis stuff Mark has been in.

Love how the last breath of air he takes is from the thinnest part of atmosphere he could possibly reside in before pushing on into space.
I would normally accuse this of being ill thought out, yet I also feel like it lends itself to how tough a Viltrumite is, physically. They really _don't_ need that much oxygen, so ground level or upper atmosphere, Mark doesn't even notice.
I haven’t read the comics, but from what I can gather from the series, I bet Viltrumites can recycle their oxygen supply from what they have in their lungs. This is probably why Mark needs to go back to the atmosphere after getting the wind knocked out of him by Allen.
In other words, humans take in oxygen from the air and convert to CO2. Then plants convert the CO2 in the air to breathable oxygen. Viltrumites are probably capable of doing both within their bodies. But since Mark is young and just discovering his powers, his dad probably advises him to take a deep breath before going to space.
Yup, before i thought that they would only use a very minute amount oxygen that's in their system to make it last longer but that might make them weaker so yeah, now i think that they can make their own oxygen if they have some in their lungs, that's why Omni man could be in space for weeks and not suffocate.
@@akshatthakur9219 nah, they cover it in the comics, that they can go for weeks on one breath but they have to stop by planets with oxygen atmospheres to get another.
I think it's the info Battle Beast is given, to hunt down Thragg (track them through space, from oxygen rich planet to oxygen rich planet, doesn't even need to be in abundance given Mark taking that breath in thin atmosphere)

@@jlit5215 Most likely he took advantage of the mistake made by Allen so that he would avoid suspicion of the Viltrimites trying to take over Earth. Otherwise, if Allen was killed and didn't come back more people from the coalition of planets would come by Earth, find out Omniman is a Viltrimite, and ignite a war.
Allen should have told mark that his job was too see if the planet is safe from Viltramites who are planet conquering monsters

I imagine that when allen goes to fight, the planet is usually told in advance that he's coming to inspect them, so thats why he didn't say anything

“He’s back”….knowing what we know about Allen and Omni Man now halfway through season 2, what do you think happened during Allen’s first visit? And what was Cecil told about Allen?
Edit: Well even though Allen got the wrong planet, Cecil still recognized Allen (hence the original comment)
Honestly, one of the best examples why Mark should hang on to his ability to talk and reason with his opponents. I know diplomacy isn't as flashy or effective as caving in a person's chest, but it just may be the thing Mark needs to really give him an edge over the Viltrumites.

from the ending of season 1, we learnt from Allen that no Viltrumite was ever defeated by anyone other than that of their own race, then, why would Allen dare to come back to the planet that he once fought a Viltrumite before.
I haven't read the original comics, so this part was quite weird to me while watching the show.

I never read the comics, but Allen is actually as powerful, or more powerful than Omni-man and kills some of his race later.
So Allen is at the wrong planet, but I think Omni-man was at Urath to take it over before.... so it's actually a hint.
It's quite easy really. Allen doesn't know Nolan is a Viltrumite ("all you bioptics look the same to me") and Nolan never actually cared who Allen was because every time he appeared Nolan would just whip him up in five seconds, no time to talk or anything.
@@bradleytaniguchi1187 not yet he's not. Right now he's barely on par with Invincible. He's been altered though with a failsafe that whenever he takes less than fatal damage, he comes back even stronger.

So I never really understood this part. How is that Nolan and Allen seemingly have met several times, but neither of them seem aware of what the other is up to? How does Alan not recognize Nolan as a Viltrumite through either his appearance or powers?
The shot of Mark looking at earth in the comics seriously looks like they took the spray can tool from MS paint on a black background.
If Nolan had gone instead, Allen would have been brutally killed. Invincible just saved Allen by offering himself for the mission.

@@dafobraced295 and yes, i have read the comics, i actually started when the show was announced so i could make proper comparisons, spawn isn't an official character in invincible, they reference him as a comic book. the iron giant referenced superman, that doesn't mean superman shares a universe with the iron giant.
