Those weren't slaps, they were clear palm strikes by Zaleś. Anyway, this is what PunchDown has become and I guess people like it this way because it leads to KO's much more often.
Exactly, that's why I don't really watch it anymore. It hurts just to watch these guys trying to break each other's jaws. Not to mention the pacing is slow and that table is way to wide.

That's the problem with Punchdown, there is no rules. These guys aren't even slapping. Watch Zales he's palm striking the guy in the jaw.
Zales basically cheats in every aspect. He tucks his chin and rolls his shoulders forward in defense, steps when he swings, and hits with the hard base part of the palm on his opponents jaw(may as well be punching tbh). It brings in viewers though so I guess he gets to continue cheating like a mfer.

The problem isn't him, it's Punchdown. They allow the palm striking. Since it's an effective way to hurt your opponent, the guys who want to win are going to do it, since Punchdown allows it.
