"The Singer" is returning on 1st January 2018 and this year's singers are both versatile and international! This episode's line-up would be: Chinese Rock Singer - Wang Feng, Actress Singer - Angela Chang, Super STAR - Jessie J, Taiwanese Singer - Sam Lee, Chinese Folk singer - Li Xiaodong, New Singer Juno and Hua Chenyu
Singer 2018 is the second season of Chinese television series Singer, a rebranded version of I Am a Singer that will air on Hunan Television. It is produced by Hong Tao, and its music director is Hong Kong senior musician Kubert Leung.
Singer 2018 will be aired on CZcams at 7am (PST, UTC-8) every Friday

I really found him to be underrated and underappreciated all throughout this season of Singer 2018. He's creative and isn't scared to experiment (the fact that Jessie J even thought he was going to be Top 2). It's sad he got eliminated.
I quite agree with you, but because his music is not popular enough, there is a bit of independent music, so it's a pity.
I think it was in Episode 8 where they were mentioning either to him or Wang Feng and even to someone in this episode, that it's a choice between doing what you want and doing what the audience wants. It's sad because his artistry wasn't really appreciated well. I do hope that he still stands firm with the personality of his music.
Agree.. he's an artist who stays true to his belief in music, doing what he love to do which is to keep making good music and present it to the people. He isn't doing it for the rankings or recognition from others but just simply wanting to stay for as long as he can. It's sad to say that not many audience know how to appreciate his artistry taste of music even though this is his best performance. It's a real waste that this show will now lack a true artist in the future weeks to come.

I feel that James Li always enjoys performing his songs. He is so free and fascinated. The lovely song composed by David Huang, romantic rearrangement, gorgeous vocal as well as chorus..., everything is perfect!!!
Very sad to see Mr. Li Quan is leaving. He has been my favorite and enjoyed all of his masterpieces. He knows music well and his songs are quite unique.

Let's be honest, this show are all about the best POP performing artists representing on stage. This stage are not design for other platforms of music. They are too far to the （吃瓜群众）would took advantage from 500 judges.If you are a pure music admirer like I do, I hering them by my ear. Not necessary to see how they were acting on stage. Not matter how they look, it does not bother me to judge the work of art.
Despite Li Quan left stage in predicted. I love his music. I honest to felt he is the only competitor that are capable to deliver modern Jazz/alternative without a gap to the West. But are composited in a way of Chinese form. It is hard to do. But he nailed it Way to go Li Quan!

This song from James is on my top 3 in this episode, what a pity he has to leave. He's really underrated in this show. His debut was really stunning and amazing with just his vocal and a panio, which killed almost everyone in that episode.
