Damn Dude. I love your work man. I'm a punk player and I put a SD Invader in my Strat a bunch of years back, that pickup is a flamethrower! A total game changer for it. Love it.

I remember going through a phase where I really wanted one of these. Really cool guitar.
Got a few years an invader set in my low tuned (generally to C standard) ESP Eclipse , the middle position sounds really excellent in heavy rythm . After that I put other pickups but never found again that great middle position sound that had those invaders ...
I Just got last year a Epiphone SG that a friend got for me and man I would love to change the hardware out for some blacked out hardware, like that. I think that would make the thing look super sick. It was / is my dream guitar for me because of Angus Young / School Boy one of my favorite guitarist and not because of the song thunder struck either. Thank for sharing this video now I know about Epiphone having blacked out hardware I can look for some.

Dane, I saw the video that came after this one, the one where you see what you did with the Epiphone pickups you dug out of this guitar, and I got curious as to what they were. I have a pair of Epi Alnico Classics that I scored from eBay, installed in a pawn shop rescued Ibanez and grinned about, because they sound REALLY great! I did a little research, and I came to believe that those pickups you got from this guy are pretty much the same thing I bought. Exactly the right fit for that plywood special they went into!
Cool pickups, but not sure what the owner is thinking 🤔 it took the evil out of the guitar with the white pickup and the clear knobs. But to each his own right?
Should have mentioned that I wondered what the owner wanted put in the place of those Alnico Classics. Now I get it: The owner wanted FULLY to "metal-ize" his guitar. Those Alnico Classics are better suited to guys who need workhorses that can cover anything. Those are different use cases. That, plus that man's generosity (Good on you, dude!) made a lot of good happen!😎

Question, have you ever picked up a guitar and just went blank every time you wanted to work on it? I mean, like some bad juju or something with a particular guitar.
Unless he’s partial to the Invader sound, I would’ve thrown some Black Winters in there. Would’ve gone great with the aesthetic.
