  • This is the start of a new series called, “Feel Good Sessions” and it’s focused around getting comfortable with intuitive painting for the purpose of releasing your stress and relaxing. Once you get comfortable you can always further your personal development through the use of intuitive painting in Art Journaling, because it helps you get good at seeing what’s really going on and making the connection between your thoughts and your emotions.
    Let me know what you think of the idea for this new series, I’d love to hear!
    Peace + Love,
    Eryn

    I really enjoyed this Eryn. I found myself exploring art again after personal loss, and it is so helpful, for that and the general daily stress. ❤

      I’m so sorry for your personal loss 💔 Dealing with depression after personal loss is how I discovered art for this purpose - even though I had been creating my whole life, it took me a long time to recognize the impact art was having in helping me cope. I hope you can find inner peace as you move through your loss 🙏🏻💖

      Hey @LadyJaneG ! After some things that happened this summer I decided to start posting the materials that were going to be on the app onto my website for free! I’m making some pivots with things, but soon will be back on here making these feel good session videos again and will definitely talk about the struggle with loving the painting process but struggling with feeling like it needs to look good! I’m still trying to decide if an app for a community + support would still be valuable for people, so I’d love to know what you’d find helpful! Thank you for being here! ✌🏻💖 Eryn

      Yay!! I’m so happy you’re enjoying the series! And thank you for sharing it 🙏🏻💖 I recently got the sign up available on my website for the Free Membership part if you want to sign up! Just go to www.theartoflivingvibrant.com and in the navigation you’ll see “join the club”. I’m still sorting through some of the tech stuff, but I’m getting there little by little with it!

    Thank you for this. I think it is wonderful. I struggle with letting myself breaking thru. I often feel like I have to hide. Very frustrating.

      I can completely relate to feeling like hiding/being ok with being seen. It’s been a journey for me and this style of art has definitely helped me (on and off the page). I hope this series continues to help you gain confidence in yourself, and to remember that it’s just paper 😉❤️ I’ve been on a lil hiatus but I should have two new videos up soon!

    Were u using acrylic paints? What kind of paper works best for art journals?
    I love ur choice of music...
    What is name of cd?

    • @theartoflivingvibrant
      @theartoflivingvibrant  Před 11 měsíci

      Yes! I was using acrylic paints (and they were simply the Folk Art Craft paints!) and for art journals I really love using mixed media paper. It may curl a lil when drying but will smooth out once the notebook is closed. Or you have the option of putting thin cardboard behind your page and using blue painters tape around the edges to keep it from curling at all 💖 For the music on the video I had to use music that wouldn’t be flagged as copyrighted, however, one of my favorite stations on Spotify for paint sessions is called “Indie Folk Focus” and it’s very similar in vibe to the music in the video. I’ve thought about creating some videos that are playlists for paint sessions, is that something you’d be interested in?
      Glad to have you here!✨
      Peace + Love,

    How do you prevent the pages from sticking together...Also what paints are you using in this video? 😊

    • @theartoflivingvibrant
      @theartoflivingvibrant  Před 10 měsíci +2

      For my art journals I use matte craft paints! The matte paints keeps them from sticking and I don’t worry about cost as I build up layers ❤️ I prefer the Folk Art and Arteza craft paints 💖✨ Let me know if you have any other questions!

      Hey! So this summer there was a tragedy that involved a childhood friend of mine and I decided to start giving everything I had been working on away for free. I have module 1 uploaded on my website: theartoflivingvibrant.com/heal-grow
      And I’ll be getting module 2 posted up this month. I haven’t decided if I should still create an app for a community with live classes. I’d love to hear what kind of guidance/support you’re looking for from the app if you’d be willing to share. ✌🏻💖

      I’m so sorry to hear of the tragedy involving your childhood friend. That’s really beautiful of you to offer your content for free.
      I do quite a bit of intuitive art myself and teach some classes around art as a spiritual practice. I suppose it was more a semi-professional curiosity what you were up to with the app.

    How do I start?? I’ve never done art or tried to do art but I’d like to explore! I play piano but would like to expand into painting and drawing to create change in my life. Thx for any tips!!!

    • @theartoflivingvibrant
      @theartoflivingvibrant  Před rokem

      Hey @parkerlee ! First, thank you for being here and asking for help to get you going! As I started thinking of my answer I realized I should probably make a video on this (so that will be coming up! Haha) but in the meantime, your first steps would be to get some basic supplies: mixed media notebook, some matte acrylic craft paints, a variety pack of paint brushes. They don’t need to be fancy! You’ll also need something for a paint palette (paper plate works fine), a glass of water to rinse your brushes, and paper towel for drying them some after rinsing. Next, pick out a good playlist for your session - one I like is the Indie Folk Focus station on Spotify.
      In these Feel Good Sessions I’ll be sharing tips for getting more comfortable with intuitive painting for the purpose of art journaling. But a basic way of start using this to create change is to journal your thoughts to see what’s going on until you can pin point one or two main things that are holding you back/need to be resolved (focus on something that’s currently weighing on you) AND THEN pick a few colors that speak to you and begin painting over your words. As you paint pay attention to the way you’re feeling and allow yourself that space to accept those feelings. This is when you’ll start gaining some clarity in your own mindset that’s been holding you back💖
      I’ve been working on a whole program and app for this and just now getting the beta version of it going, but it’s all about personal growth and personal development, which includes healing/ removing the blocks so we can live in alignment and enjoy this gift of life we’ve been given! But I plan to share tips for painting here on CZcams along with some food for thought for personal development and creating change in your life 💖
      Also, I think it’s very cool that you play piano! I dabbled in it when I was young, but never really learned. Played guitar for a little bit though 😉
      Peace + love,
      Eryn
