    Great video, I’m buying one. Regarding the orbit or stroke making splinters, I would suggest taping the area to be cut, and then make your cut through the tape. This should eliminate the splinting on stock such as plywood. Great review, thanks for the time.

    Thats the only tool from Festool I regret buying...too wobbly blade drives me crazy and nonstop turning it off by hitting off switch by mistake...90% of my tools are Festool and Carvex is the worst...looking at Makita

      There are adjustments to stop blade wobble, almost, completely. That's why it comes with an Allen key.

      look for this link in you tube "Festool's Worst Tool fixed!?! No more Wobbly Blade. All Carvex Models.
      Bradshaw Joinery" i had the same problem, i applied the fix and no more flapping blade, it takes a bit of adjustment but watch the video, buy the little grub screw with the spring loaded bearing and fit it. slight adjustments will sort it. iv done mine and its not perfect but its way better. unfortunately there isnt a work around for the stupid switch positioning that i know of.

      Check out the Mafell P1CC if you use a jig saw a lot in thicker material. Not cheap, but it’s a monster.

      Mafell definitely makes some great tools as well. Most "general" users are not a great fit for either, due to price. However, those that really desire to have the best performing and most ergonomic (less vibration) tools, the price for Festool and Mafell fall in line with the value.

    • @exigauner
      @exigauner Před rokem

      Festool are better than bosch, ihave bothe. Maffel is nice but only corded and no led Light, and the dust collection is not as good as festool i have Maffel one too😉

Mafell builds the absolute highest quality timber framing saws possible, with zero compromises. They’re built to be lifetime saws. The P1cc is an absolute beast, similar motor to a 7.25” circ saw or 2hp mid sized router.

    Why don't you review the 2012 Lexus RX while you're at it. I get it though most of festool products don't chang in over a decade but people still need a tool so you still need to keep it relevant with the reviews.

    How's vibration and accuracy compared to the Flex? Have you tried the latter with the stacked lithium batteries?

    • @exigauner
      @exigauner Před rokem +2

      vibration is so little, in germany we have rules for safty. you can use only tools with good dust collection and less vibration on professional job side, festool is on of the most used tool brands and is made in germany too.

    i love my carvex but ...there is no air blowing the dust clear of the blade area .. you can use a vacuum but who wants a hose hanging out of the back side of a jigsaw? it's definetly a design flaw

  • @fiolica2000
    @fiolica2000 Před 3 měsíci

    When you test festool with some crap of vacuum it's not very real review about dust extraction. I'm sure if you use quality vacuum results would be much better.

    so you just said Festool needs no explanation, then you go into wasting time explaining the systainers... in any case, I have the makita and HATE the double start button. stupid design. I dread using it, too bad because other than that is is very good. The carvex has the left handed single on/off switch that is easy to locate with thumb. Much better. With the makita, after a cut I have to lift it up and seek out the flat buttons on the other side to turn it off. Stupid design. I already said that. Dust collection also nice since I am constantly blowing on the blade to see the line.
