I was lucky to see In & Of Itself in person when Derek was in Westwood. It was mind blowing. I got lucky to be selected to take the book home with me and come back the next night. Great experience!!! Derek, if you read this comment, I am the one that did the drawings in the book. In and Out of Itself was one of those best life experience! Thank you!

When I watched this, I was in a dark space and thought my marriage was almost over. It showed up in my life in the most perfect way and I consider this show a Blessing in the dark. I then had my husband watch it the next night, without me, and in the dark as well...I then asked him to watch "Life Itself". Let's just say, this was the last time he had a drink. It moved us in ways that we didn't understand at the moment and because we were in a space of really wanting to HEAL, it showed us something that was profound. I'm so grateful for moments like this in life. THE ART and the MAGIC is on a different level. Thank you for this incredible gift.

When I tell y’all this movie had me boohoo crying. It really opened my eyes about my purpose & I’m so happy I watched it.
This performance shook my whole existence. As a magician and love for art.... this was mind blowing and the most beautiful use of talent I have ever witnessed. If you haven’t yet already, please watch this... I could just maybe change your life.

I saw the show on June 10th, 2018, in New York City. I can confirm that everything that happened in the show was real. Everything from Hulu was just as I remembered it.
I too had the fortune of seeing this show live in NYC, February of 2018 and agree with Luke and the trailer. It's goes down as one of the best performance art / theater shows I've ever seen.

It’s because people who like it don’t want to spoil it and they feel like saying anything about it will take away from the experience. When Colbert interviewed him and Frank Oz on his show they spoke in equally unspecific terms for that reason.
I am so-so on it. Pretty cool magic, interesting stories and approach, well-shot & presented, but it’s message isn’t for me 🤷🏻♂️

It's really hard to categorize what I've just seen. The closest I can come up with is that I watched a brilliant performance that involves audience participation, great storytelling, and magic. And underneath it all are deep philosophical themes. Bravo Derek!

How hard can it be to categorize. I saw it and it bored me to tears. The audience was as pretentious and self absorbed as the magician. It was him telling boring stories with boring tricks. There I just described it. LOL

I watched a year ago, like many here, and again last night. I cried even more this time BECAUSE I actually had a vivid dream I call "the Box" that is almost like a sequel to this event. Given how strange "In & Of Itself" is, it's possible I could be tapping into something in the cosmos. I hope there IS a sequel! Watch some interviews with DelGaudio here. He's great!
I just watched this the other night. It was entertaining, and incredibly creative on so many levels. If you want to experience a paradigm shift, watch this show! And if you consider yourself intellectual, you'll love it. There's a lot of surprises throughout. He uses magic, illusions, story telling, and psychology to facilitate self-discovery. It goes deep. Pay attention. You may need to watch it twice to get the full gist of it! I know I will be watching it again!

When he first begins his story, it reminded me of a movie I watched over 15 years ago. Back then I didn’t bother with subtitled films. Yet, this one had drawn me in somehow. The name of the film was “13 Tzameti”.
An absolutely phenomenal documentary. WOW

Just got finished watching this and I have no clue why people are saying this is so great. It's a magician talking about life stories. That is all.

@@JasperVondeling Do you two have an inner monologue? I can't believe anyone would find this show interesting or captivating and I'm trying to understand why so many seem to. It seems to me that they have been bamboozled. They can't even explain anything about the show! I'll tell you why, the artist says absolutely nothing. It's all vague so people read their own meaning into it.
This works so well because so many want something more... something profound and meaningful in the world. It really is a wonderful show. I wish I could have seen it in person
Looks like America's Derren Brown... with a heavy lean on the notion that we find ourselves in seemingly specific descriptions, (when in reality we're all just more complex than we know). Derren Brown illustrated this by writing several people a detailed description of who they truly are, only for them to discover that he wrote the same thing for everyone.
Anyway, this looks great. I don't have access to Hulu, but hopefully I'll get a chance to watch this.

Just watched it and after I could move and form complete sentences again (aka.over 30 minutes) I wrote to all my friends and family to immediately watch it.

We're all connected in some way, but are also extremely different and unique. Many way to interpet something. But in the end, love is most important to make life worth while

I really wanted to be deeply moved by this, but I wasn't. The entire time I kept thinking "something if going to make this all tie together and be really mind blowing," by the way people have talked about it.
I tried and was very open minded. Maybe you all that love this can help me with what I missed.
