- Marine Corps Base Quantico Combat Camera or COMSTRAT (Communications Strategies and Operations) gets together with Ceremonial Platoon for a Mess Night at The Clubs at Quantico. Hilario gets locked out. of his room so he showed up in workout shorts and a white t-shirt when everyone else was in their dress blues. We all forget about Webster's birthday, Hilario gets 10% of his checkout sheet signed. Quinn & myself briefly explain what a Mess Night even is and we attack our new CZcams producers.

Hahaha! Semper Fi young Marines. Say it isn't so! I got to set up an Officer's Mess Night two weeks before I got out on Pendleton for 1st Marines, back when General Paxton was still a Colonel. I got to skip the 10 mile hump from Horno because I was assigned with some of my Motor-T Marines to set up the field mess. Somehow we got engineers to come out and carve out huge pit for our bon fire. You could see it from I-5. MPs showed up to shut us down but the base commander himself was there as a guest of honor, so he kindly dismissed them and we commenced to gettin' shitty. Got a chance to get fucked up with a bunch of those Lance Corporals and PFCs that night. All the officers in the regiment were fucked up that themselves so....was a great parting night. A few weeks later it was time to turn in my gear and drive away. That was 21 years ago. I've done a lot of things with my life since then (some more up, some more down), but there's nothing that equates to the my Marine Corps life.
