lot of so called 'crystal experts ' say that kyanite dissolves in water , BUT this video shows that kyanite grows in the stones in water or near the water. If it dissolves in water then how come its doing just fine in the actual mine. in water. Great video thoughly enjoyed it . watching it with my large pieces of kyanite in hand. lovely energy

I picked up a load at Kyanite Mining inc in my 20 ft container,they said it was the only mine in USA ...It was being sent to the Port of Wilmington in NC ,for Export!!

bones&stones 65 Sweet! They are like diamonds the clearer the better. You will see a lot in your pan get the deeper blues. They are the gem quality ones. I am going to talk to a jeweler friend of mine about making some jewelry with some of the better examples.

Which acid did you use to clean, i)I was told Citric acid? We managed to find heaps Kyanite and just started out. Appreciate the show and advice. Cheers.
Do you know what kind of acid is used to clean up the stone? Or if it can be acquired by traditional means (ie department store) This is great info!

Not as hard as granite. The Kyanite blades are in a mixture of garnets, quartz and mica.
