I really pitty these people that make a great game then are told oh don’t forget to get your diversity in there! It’s good for nothing! Just mocks the truth and history
There were black officers in the British Army in WW2. In particular, the RAF had a number of pilots from black Caribbean origin. It wouldn't be impossible for a member of the special forces to be back either.
The British military was very classist but it was not legally racist, unlike in the USA. It wouldn't be impossible for a wealthy Briton to have a black wife (specially if they came from the colonies), and then to have a child that would go to military academy and become an officer.
Yeah the number of black britons in WW2 (living in Great Britain) was not huge, but it was not inexistent either. Port towns like Liverpool, Cardiff or London had non-negligible black populations by the 1930s.

What is "non-negligible"? Just looking at Wikipedia its thought that roughly 20-30,000 in all of Britain, even if that was doubled by 1930, 50,000, is that "non-negligible"? Minding the population of Liverpool at the time was near 1 million.
As a brit, I find the racial classification of the American army just ridiculous, the Germans didn't even bother with such counter productive things as far as I know, they just threw anyone in uniform onto the same frontline and expected an army to be, a, army, not a civilian bigotry brigade (that's what the SS was for, but apparently the average American was just already like that). My point is, priorities. That being said, no one in the British army was saying or thinking "racist bastard" or anything like that, that's a complete misrepresentation of the mentality and society at the time. Plus, modern accents, just weren't a thing in the past.
Regardless of whether a character like this actually existed, and I'm sure did exist, I'm sure Britain had many non-English officers of all kinds during the war, we had whole Indian armies, and half the empire was in Africa, so that's besides the point, the way such a character is portrayed here is still a mischaracterisation.@@jamram15

Sure I agree with you, but I think that can be attributed to the very simple fact that art/narrative it's generally not historically accurate to that point, and maybe it doesn't need to be.
A story represents the time it is written, not the time it is set, so having characters have modern mentalities instead of historically accurate ones is par for the course. Look at any historical narrative fiction, i.e. "Gladiator", the moral values of the characters in the movie are not realistic according to what we know of 2nd century Roman society and politics. But it's okay, after all it's a piece of fiction from 2000, so characters inevitably have been written by writers of the late 20th century and thus have some "presentist" behaviour. After all, it's fiction, not history.
What you can't have is Romans with machine guns, because that is already crossing the line from "presentism" (an unavoidable intellectual phenomenon) to full-on ahistorical fantasy. I agree the line is blurry, and it is at the discretion of the critic.
Now, my comment was in relation to someone affirming that a Black British officer in WW2 was ridiculous, and I think that's also an ahistorical fantasy that needs to be debunked. I know the Black population of Great Britain during WW2 was tiny, but as you said it amounted to som tens of thousands of people. That's enough so even if just 0.1% of them became Army officers, that amounts to a few dozens of them, so non-negligible.
I reckon OP is American, where racism was legally recognized until the late 60s, so of course a Black officer seems ridiculous. I recommend to @SGT1Barns to check the reports of Black American soldiers in England, they were astonished that the locals treated them much better than their own American officers. In fact, the top US Army brass tried to limit the contact between Britons and Black American soldiers to avoid putting dangerous desegregation ideas in their heads.

This game is a total nonsense. The historical inaccuracy is tremendous. It is not just a woke story, but the uniforms, how they speak, how they behave. For example SS-Untersturmführer of the Allgemeine SS (black uniform guy) treats SS-Hauptsturmführer of the Waffen-SS like a small kid. This game was really bad and it reminds me a bad Hollywood movies where Germans shouts only “Achtung”. I do not understand, why the studio did not hire someone who can told them how it should be. Waste of money.
Literally though. Putting aside the woke shit, the historical inaccuracies are horrible. There was one officer who was literally an Obergruppenfuhrer in Stalingrad & he was just some low ranking officer, even though it was literally the highest rank obtainable in the SS. That would be the equivalent of sending Heinrich Himmler directly to the front lines. At least Friedrich Paulus had to be promoted to a Field Marshall when he was already there lol

Well, the Order was established in May 1942 and the battle of Stalingrad started in August, so quite a few members of the Red Army already had that medal.

In World At War the mission in Russia was a lot more intense, the best COD ever made, 15 years ago already..

Richter has the wrong tabs and shoulder boards. He has shoulder boards of an SS-Standartenführer, but his collar reads his rank as SS-Hauptsturmführer. And the mention that he doesn't have combat medals is utterly false, as he clearly has an EK ribbon on his tunic.
He is also wearing an early uniform, the light grey colour and the pockets are 1934/1940

I swear if any of you are wondering on buying a ps5 then let me just tell you they are amazing for consoles believe me I've just bought one and GTAV online looks amazing compared to last gen and crossing over with all my details, my CZcams channel, my gaming characters and everything was just straight forward and no problem at all. A ten year old kid could have found his way, literally. Sweet consoles.

@@d.tim1989 yes very responsive and works very well at a solid 60fps, the movement more fluid and your gaming experience much more refined compared to last gen consoles I love mine its dope. You remember PlayStation 4 Pro right? I was using one of those for two years before the PS5 and posting videos to my CZcams channel would be a pain in my rear end. Whenever I posted back then it would mean coming outta whichever game ide been on, then edit and posy then wait a while until it rendered just to make sure it had sent properly and then once I had done that it was a full reboot of the game I was previously playing. Such a pain on the ass. Now I can post to CZcams after editing and I can be back exactly where I was in the game without having to come out of it and the best part about that is the time it takes and how easy it is to do, so straight forward I can now post 5 videos an hour on average if I choose to without having to leave my game. It really has helped my channel I am now back in the green and since having a PS5 my subs have gone up. That's a win where I'm from bro ❤️

There is a Mp 44 in the game. And the gameplay is from 1942. But other tha that, only a feel historical errors. Like the Russians being surprised by the airstrike. Since the Airstrike was advertised in the begin. And Russian had a lot of weapons to use against planes.
Nothing yells IMMERSIVE REALISTIC like historical inaccuracies littered everywhere and Hollywood exaggeration bloating the screen.

the SD Gestapo did not have SS bolts on their collar tabs, they were blank, the SS uniforms were not black during the war, they changed to gray and a few others. dude should get fired for those mistakes.

At WW2 there was womans in the URSS army. There was black soldiers (africans mostly) in the French army, there was native-americans and latín (mexicans/mexican-american) soldiers at the US army and there was whole asians countries fighting (Japan, China, Philippines, etc). As i see WW2 was kinda "inclusive".

My grandfather came home from Guadalcanal and he was missing in action in Guadalcanal. He got shot 5 times in the stomach with a machine gun. The bullets just grazed him nevertheless, had 5 scars going down his stomach. My father loves this game. Whether it's inaccurate or not, you're just being a creep about the whole thing. Congratulations, you're a history buff. A lot of other people are too. If you don't like the game and you think it's inaccurate, don't play It. It's pretty simple.
